While F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin will definitely appeal to fans of the first installment, newcomers to the franchise will also be pleased with the fast paced and action packed gameplay. Next to that, this game is a lot less scary than it's predecessor, making this a game well suitable for shooter fanatics. On the down low, it's a bit disappointing the multiplayer mode isn't all that.

Two years ago I wrote I hoped the developers would make a successor to LocoRoco more challenging. It appears they haven’t heard my calls. The game still possesses the same charm and cuteness, especially for people who missed out on the first installment in the series, and the soundtrack will make anyone smile. LocoRoco 2 gets repetitive in the long run though, and adds very little to the original game.

Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection is a collection of almost fifty games. Most of them are well worth playing. The nostalgic feeling is great and a lot of bonus material can be unlocked. The only two downsides are that none of the games has an online multiplayer and that half of the games are already downloadable.

To be honest, House of the Dead: OVERKILL exceeded our expectations. The whole Tarantino-esque vibe this game breathes is simply hilarious and the game doesn't hesitate to shove tons of curse words and gallons of blood in your face. The fact that you'll have seen most of the game within a week doesn't mean you shouldn't play it. Just clear your mind, get trigger happy.

There’s nothing wrong with barely clothed gals trashing through hordes and hordes of zombies. But when one button appears to be the only one you’ll be using for killing enemies, the concept suddenly becomes a lot less appealing. Those that are looking for a good zombie slasher should stick to Dead Rising or wait for it’s sequel. Hey, that game has some hot babes too you know.

Deadly Creatures is nice game when you have a Wii. The story is a bit fuzzy, but it’s ten times better than yet another party game for the system. What makes this game interesting is not the story, not the great graphics, but the fantastic fights and extremely well executed vibe the game sends out. Anyone lucky enough to have a Wii should definitely check this one out.

X-Blades starts like a real great game. There’s a girl and she cuts everyone open with her sword. How much can you get? Not much! As a bonus, we get to see an almost naked girl, carrying way too heavy swords. But even this gets boring after a while. Fight after fight where you have to push one button isn’t fun. Even all the nakedness of the game doesn’t cover that fact up.

In the end, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box is just a great game for those who haven't played the console versions. There's tons of cars to unlock, races to engage in and stunts to perform. Add to this the 'pick up and play' control mechanics and you've got yourself a great racing game that doesn't require mad driving skills and is just genuine fun.

Afro Samurai stays close to the anime. It has some big flaws, but despite that, the game is still standing. The soundtrack is superb and the slow motion action will keep you entertained.

Whether there's enough here to maintain longevity is yet to be seen, but for the time being we finally have a Football Manager-game that can be enjoyed against other people and in short bursts, a game that's subtly addictive but never life sapping.

SimAnimals is EA's entertaining and uncomplicated answer tot Rare's Viva Piñata, made for those who aren't in the hardcore gaming scene and are looking for a pick-up-and-play game. You control every animal in the same way, and bit by bit the game explains you it's mechanics. The rusty and annoying control scheme however takes away a lot of the fun pretty soon in, making this a game nearly above average.

Skate 2 is a diamond in the skateboarding genre, but loses focus every now and then. Nevertheless, it’s a definite purchase if you’ve enjoyed the first game, and a great opportunity for newcomers to give the trademark Skate-gameplay a try. The controls are just as intuitive as before, performing tricks is ultimately satisfying, and San Vanelona remains a great place to reside in.

Star Ocean: The Second Story is an entertaining RPG that has withstood the test of time. Although the graphics do look a little outdated, the storyline has enough to offer and leveling your characters is still as addicting as always.

I simply can’t recommend The Lord of the Rings: Conquest. The game is riddled with both minor and major mistakes, the camera is awful, it looks like a PlayStation 2-game, and the gameplay consists of little more than mindless hacking and slashing of countless enemies. The only positive aspect is the decent multiplayer-mode, but even that feels outdated, compared to Call of Duty 4, Gears of War 2 or anything in that direction.

Mirror’s Edge is still a unique game in every way. The story is captivating, the action is exciting, and the graphics are even better on the PC than they were on the consoles. That’s not enough for a higher score, but every PC-owner who wasn’t been able to experience the challenging and thrilling experience Mirror’s Edge has to offer, should do it now.

Don't expect an original game with an extremely interesting story when you are going to play Eledees DS. Just enjoy the simple though varied gameplay, the cute looks and catchy soundtrack. Before you’ll even realize it, you’re twenty hours into this entertaining videogame.

Operation 7 isn’t very original, but it is still a lot of fun to play. There are a lot of maps, weapons and players, so you can enjoy yourself for a while. And then there is the other big plus: it is free!

Despite the graphical glitches, poor collision detection, and frustrating (lack of) integration of the world map, Rise of the Argonauts is simply a good game. Both story and dialogue are well-written, the action is awesome and gory, and the skill-upgrading system is thought out really well.

The Sonic-team has succeeded in developing an improvement upon the last Sonic-game on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Even then, Sonic Unleashed is a flawed game. The Hedgehog-levels are fast and fun, while the Werehog-levels offer a bit of a change to the classic Sonic-gameplay, although, unfortunately, it often comes down to mindless button bashing. Unleashed shows that Sonic isn’t dead and buried yet, but still leaves a lot to be desired.

Persona is a RPG with a strong story, a decent battle system and interesting characters. It is also a lot of fun to upgrade your Persona’s and other abilities. The game starts a bit slow, but is really hard to let go when the story unfolds. Persona 4 is a game that will bring back life in the good old PlayStation 2.
