Endless Space 2 isn't just a very solid 4X game. It's also quite the narrative experience. Every faction has a story to tell, and every game will see you playing to their strengths while learning that story.

A fine space roguelike which entraps you in its loop for a long time. Its difficulty could be a little frustrating at times, yet the overall experience is fresh and rewarding.

A touching adventure that will be remembered for its stellar emotional value rather than for its (fairly good) gameplay: prepare some tissues because you're definitely gonna need them, as you'll experience one of the most memorable epilogues ever.

Technically wonderful, rich in content and playable on multiple levels of depth, Guilty Gear XRD Rev 2 is again able to compete with the most prominent competitors of the genre.

A nice remaster operation which brings new life to a classic title of the original Xbox's library. Decent in single-player, excellent in multiplayer.

In Disgaea 5 Complete you'll have a mountain of things to do. It has deep gameplay mechanics but it could be better balanced.

Impact Winter is able to melt survival, management and a touch of GdR with very interesting results. It's not a perfect game, but the mix of genres is well done.

Minecraft meets an action-RPG: a bunch of nice ideas not very well implemented. Very nice graphics.

Farpoint is the perfect crossover between arcade light gun shooters à la The House of the Dead and old-school First Person Shooters. The result is a jaw-dropping experience that truly becomes unparalleled thanks to the power of VR and to the quality of the Aim Controller peripheral: this might be the first full blown traditional game 100% built around VR, and despite a few shortcomings you literally won't believe your eyes. In its own ways, Farpoint truly takes the shooter genre to a whole new level: if this is not a killer application, we're pretty close to that.

Birthdays: The Beginning is a nice simulation game with really cute art direction, which fans of the genre and people who seek a relaxing gaming experience will probably enjoy. Unfortunately it has its flaws, like poorly detailed graphics, slight frame rate drops and clunky controls, that we hope will disappear in the next titles of the series.

A game which is both old and new. And that's why it works so well even after all these years.

The Surge is technically strong, has good ideas and fascinating environments, but also a lot of flaws, especially when it comes to important elements for the soulslike genre, like level design and character’s customization/improvement.

A must have for DC fans, but also a very good beat’em up for everyone. If you liked the first Injustice, you’ll love this.

Statik is a nice surprise for puzzle-game lovers. A 5.5 hour long jigsaw puzzle immersed in an essential but fun genre VR.

Despite being more than 10 years old, LocoRoco is still a beautiful and entertaining game, thanks to a deep gameplay, a brilliant level design and a relaxed atmosphere. The remastered is not that perfect (low-res cutscenes, a new – luckily, optional – motion-control system that is not so accurate), but fortunately LocoRoco aged very well.

Strife hides a merciless challenge behind his well crafted Nineties costume. Not only old-style FPS lovers can find death on Icarus but also who's searching for a demanding moment of pure gore. Perhaps different levels of difficulty could have expanded the audience.

Prey means deep space and deep gameplay. A huge space station hides thousands of game mechanics and dynamics ready to be explored by the solitary player. Its warfare is not infinite nor predestined, but makes up part of a bigger picture, a bigger game, where gameplay means much more than gunplay.

Despite its ingenious puzzles, some good ideas and fun boss battles, World to the West fails in many aspects, such as story, exploration, and atmosphere. As if it wasn't enough, there are also some bugs, translation errors and unclear suggestions, which certainly do not help. However, it's still a title that fans of puzzle games and Teslagrad will probably enjoy.

Colorful, cheerful and fun, Flinthook is not only a joy to look at, but above all also a blast to play. Too bad for its uncompromising difficulty and its poor balancing, that prevent this roguelike-platformer from becoming the next cult classic on the indie scene.

We didn't actually need Syberia 3: a senseless tryout for bringing a perfectly closed series back in the spotlight. Syberia 3, with its mediocre (disappointing) narration and its poor technical design, should have remained Microïds' secret wish.

Puyo Puyo Tetris is the not so trivial encounter between two iconic puzzle game legends: a crossover full of options and possibilities that works well played alone, but becomes an absolute blast when played with friends (and therefore a perfect match for Nintendo Switch).

After being released exclusively for PlayStation in the Japanese market in 1999, Goichi Suda’s visual novel crosses over to the West. In its PS4 edition, it is also enriched with two new chapters. A mature and interesting script and an excellent soundtrack are the strong suit of this otherwise slow paced game, with a weird and clumsy control interface.
