Katana Zero is a fast-paced action game which shines thanks to its smooth, brilliant and clever gameplay, while surprisingly good writing gives an unexpected depth to the game. It’s a brand new take on the classic genre mechanics, made even cooler thanks to a lovely art style and a powerful soundtrack.

Ghost Giant is a perfect example of how the VR adapts very well re: puzzle games, thanks also to a very satisfying interaction with the environment.

World War Z has a Left 4 Dead-based-DNA that exposes too much its lack of originality. The game, in its essence, is fun and enjoyable, but most of the merit it isn't all of its doing.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen on Nintendo Switch is not perfect at all but it still has its own charm.

Falcon Age makes good use of the unique features of VR and conveys a very special feeling thanks to the relationship with the falcon, but the gameplay has more shadows than lights.

Anno 1800 may be about the industrial revolution, but its design is quite conservative. A boon for the fans of the series, who will find themselves at home with this new iteration of the economic simulator they know and love.

Beautiful and unpleasant as always, Cuphead arrives on Switch as a simply unassailable version.

Konami Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics is quite a lazy collection of a bunch of good 80s games. The emulation is quite smooth, most of the games are still fun, but some bizarre games choices, a quite essential look and the lack of peculiar features such as online support make the collection just average.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission is a must buy for all fans of the Dragon Ball Universe. It offers an incredible amount of characters, cards and missions in which you will enjoy a good strategy card offensive game. It's nth-power's fan service, but it's good fun service.

Dangerous Driving is a fun but limited old-style racing game. Its sense of speed is exhilarating, but on a standard Xbox One/PS4 the frame rate drops to a not so exciting 30fps.

MLB The Show 19 is a solid game and worth the yearly upgrade. The Road to the Show is still fun and there are some nice new additions (the mode "March to October").

Outward has a lot of potential, from the interesting death system to the complexity of the status effects, but the entire game is full of some big problems: clunky combat system, out-dated IA and rough (and superficial) gdr elements. Outward has definitely his little audience of early 2000-gdr lovers, and it's a bit charming in some ways, but in the end it's not even average.

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered certainly does not turn an average game into a masterpiece, but as a makeover operation we are more than satisfied.

Sunless Skies is a refined and more organic successor to Sunless Sea. The skies above London are full of intriguing events and charming characters depicted through a fancy, sharp and magnetic writing. The hybrid gameplay which mixes “choose your own adventure” elements with a classic RPG/roguelite scheme works well and offer a deep and satisfying experience. If you don’t mind read walls of text and embrace the rhythm of the slow gaming, Sunless Skies is one of the best games around.
