It doesn't suck right out of the box - but it doesn't do the series justice. If you're a huge fan of the show, the X-Box version is slightly better than the PS2 version, but don't expect to see the engine taxed.

You'll love playing this one over a snow-bound weekend, but probably return it to the rental counter by the time your senses thaw.

There’s nothing about Army Men Advance that compels us to pick it up again.

It doesn't damage the reputation of fantasy games, but it doesn't make any spectacular leaps and bounds with it.

If you like your N64 titles simple and charming, and can live without strategic game play or thoughtful graphics and sound, than this scaled-back version of the TV show is right up your alley.

The best feature of the game is that no matter how low your school's hoops program is in real life, you can take your school to the championship.

The PS2's version of "Vanishing Point." Floaty, slow control, graphics that shine in some ways but fall a bit flat in others, gameplay that doesn't last very long and feels more like work than fun most of the time.

Repeat this to yourself over and over if you find yourself tempted to purchase this title: "I will not buy this game today, I will not buy it any day. I will not buy it in a store, I will not play it on the floor..."

And like the movie, the game begins to seem pointless after a while, which qualifies it as a rock-solid rental.

Where March Madness doesn't compete is in the game play respect afforded to the big timers - "NBA Live 2002" and "NBA 2K2." The game has a slower pace and a less hurried feel than real basketball.

Nothing but a knock-off of every other mission-based car game out there, and a dull and frustrating one at that.

Weak gameplay, graphics, sound and options make NBA ShootOut 2001 an easy pass. Don't bite on this ball fake.

Little more than a rehash of the earlier game, "Fighter Destiny 2" would have been acceptable in 1998, but feels extremely dated today.

The game play appeals to the young and hopelessly naïve gamers who think they're reliving the movie experience. Good luck to them - to the rest of us, spend your X-bucks on something a little more sophisticated.

A bitter pill to swallow. Still, you could waste an afternoon or two on this and still find yourself fairly amazed with some of the puzzle elements, the hunt for horror exploration aspect, and all the chainsaw-ripping, zombie-blasting gore.

It’s a jerky, blocky looking mess for most of the levels with a minimum of frames for each animation. There are Super NES games that are leagues ahead of this eyesore.

A pointless sequel that adds nothing to its genre or franchise. Almost as dreadful as its N64 counterpart.

Better than bad is sometimes still pretty bad, and that's the case here -- though at least the frame rate is not so piss-poor as to be completely unplayable.

Casual gamers should pass Danger Girl like a bad bowl of chili.

This game needed a hell of a lot more graphics optimization, and a bit more work on the control would have been nice too.

The Legend of Alon D'ar goes for the big story (which is lame in its own way) and the big RPG feeling - but falls short on both counts.

But said frame rate is so bad that not only does it distract, it actually affects the gameplay by ruining your timing -- taking turns is often a case of guesswork as the game jerks along at somewhere between 5 and 10 frames per second (that is not an exaggeration).

Not bad, but certainly not the best vehicle driving game out there.
