    While the game isn't incredibly deep, it does have a deep learning curve for driving. Otherwise, there are about 50+ cars to be had, most of them unlockable.

    While the graphics are some of the best that I have seen in a racing title for a nex-gen system, this does not compensate for the fact that Driving Emotion Type-S has unrealistic physics that debilitate the overall enjoyment of the game.

    The graphics are fine, the options plentiful and the details lovingly polished, but the core gameplay -- the part where you're in a car racing against other cars -- doesn't do much to advance the genre at all.

    Even if your suspension, brake, and gear ratios are fixed for maximum handling, the controls are just way too sensitive -- the slightest touch on the analog stick makes your car careen into walls and run off course.

    It's so tough to accept the little bit of good (decent graphics, OK number of cool vehicles and tracks) that is mixed with so much that's wrong (physics from hell, semi-broken control, insulting soundtrack) in a driving engine that, with proper care, could have been a contender instead of a bump on the road.

    Este juego fue una curiosidad en mi vida, por alla en el año 2001 cuando me regalaron mi primera PS2, este juego fue parte de mi comienzo porEste juego fue una curiosidad en mi vida, por alla en el año 2001 cuando me regalaron mi primera PS2, este juego fue parte de mi comienzo por la consola, es un simulador duro, olvídense de los need for speed y su temática arcade aca. Duras horas y horas aprendiendo a conducir prácticamente cada vehiculo del juego, los graficos eran relativamente mediocre incluso para su época, pero lo compensa una buena plantilla de vehículos y unas detalladas pistas. música ok, sonido ok, es un juego regular pero lo que mas sorprende es que fue elaborado por Square, una empresa que en su tiempo fueron los dioses de los juegos RPG orientales. Fue una aventura nada mas, antes de la llegada de Gran turismo fue un decente juego de carreras luego paso al eterno olvido… Expand

    I have played so many better racing games that it makes this one look terrible. It's not the graphics that turn me off, but the handling I have played so many better racing games that it makes this one look terrible. It's not the graphics that turn me off, but the handling of the cars and poor control. Squaresoft has failed in this game. It was brave of them to try something new but please stick with rpg's. If you never played any other racing game, you'd think this game is ok.… Expand

    Really bad graphics, would just about pass as a ps1 game. Handling is poor and just feels shoddy
