Grounded is a very remarkable survival RPG that is only taking its first (and tiny) steps. It has a huge potential to become one of the must-haves of the genre, but it already has enough to make survival fans fall in love with it. Give it a chance if you can, because it deserves it.

The Diofield Chronicle has been a pleasant surprise. Square Enix has come up with a new tactical role-playing IP with a deep and challenging real-time combat that brings a touch of freshness to the genre. Despite dragging narrative problems, if you like SRPGs, this game can earn a place on your console or PC.

Shovel Knigh Dig is another success in the universe of created by Yacht Club Games, a roguelite that, without straying too far from the formula of the genre and what we have seen in other Shovel games, manages to give it a twist to make it feel fresh. And it succeeds. Guaranteed joy for lovers of the most agile and casual roguelite.

Trails from Zero may feel a little bit outdated in some areas, like technical aspects or some design choices, but it's a little RPG gem to be discovered, thanks to the superb script and story, that match with an interesting world. If you can overcome it's slow pace and repetitive chores, you'll enjoy a wonderful adventure.

A solid game with good intentions, but a far cry from the biggest games in the genre. As an appetizer is ok, but the most hardcore hack and slash fans will probably prefer to wait for Bayonetta 3... or boot up Devil May Cry 5 one more time.

It's not perfect, it's not the best Monkey Island, even. But you can't deny its charm as a love letter to everything we adore about graphic adventure games. RTMI is a fun, nostalgic experience.

If Pokémon it's youir thing, Temtem carries the formula a little bit further, with new elements in combat, MP or a higher level of challenge. It doesn't have the refinement level of Pokémon in certain areas, and it's "always online" component, makes impossible to play it on portable on Switch if the place doesn't have Wi-Fi.

NBA 2K23 is one of the best games that has ever stepped onto a sports court. Its gameplay and technical fundamentals are without doubt, but the addition of historic modes to its roster is a better move than the one the Chicago Bulls made when they selected Michael Jordan with the third pick in the 1984 Draft.

Metal: Hellsinger is a shooter diabolically fun that focuses on a high speed action where rhythm and music are the core of the experience, and power it up with lots of mechanics that make it even deeper. The problem is that it has few levels and everything revolves around getting the highest score in the ranking, and not shooter fans love that.

The arrival of F.I.S.T. Forged in Shadow Torch in physical format it's a great news both for collectors and metroidvania fans: it's a great adventure, with some interesting ideas, wonderful combat mechanics and visually astounding... even if the Nintendo Switch version it's a little bit blurry and less stellar.

Splatoon 3 is better than Splatoon 2: the new lobbies and catalogs make for a more rewarding experience... but essentially, is exactly the same, as there are no new modes within the competitive or co-op play. It's very fun but also very conservative, although it is elevated by a great single player mode, longer and similar to the Octo Expansion.

The Last of Us is still a masterpiece, and the PS5 remake looks truly "next gen". There are some gameplay improvements and new game modes, but it is not enough to buy the game for the third time if we already played the original and the PS4 remaster.

To put it simply: TMNT The Cowabunga Collection sets the new standard for retro compilation video games. A great selection of titles and an astounding amount of extras makes this, as the turtles would call it, a "very cowabunga game".

Thymesia is a humble indie soulsborne that, despite its marked inspirations and forced comparisons with giants like Bloodborne, manages to bring some other details to the genre. It lags behind in many aspects, but it also manages to attract attention through frenetic and fun combat.

Shin chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation delivers on its promise of making us feel like children through the carefree eyes of Shinnosuke, using the sense of humor of the anime, which will please the fans. But the extremely slow pacing and limited gameplay (it feels like a graphic novel) won't be for everyone.

Arcade Paradise is neither a great managing game, nor a a great minigame compilation, but the combination of both gameplay styles work well. We enjoyed its setting in the eighties, and the feeling of growing our own arcade empire. Some elements get repetitive after two or three days.

Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered it's a wonderful open world adventure and this port doesn't change that. What it changes is that you'll need a powerful PC to run it properly, with ray-tracing and all the visual effects... and even with an RTX 3080 you won't run it at constant 4K y 60fps at launch.

Eastward pays tribute to the 90s adventures, mixing ideas from different titles, but keeping its own style. A little gem in the visual department that can entertain you for 25 hours or more, that now, thanks to the latest patch with the Spanish and German translation and all the improvements made, makes the adventure more accessible than ever.

We have some criticism on Sword and Fairy: Together Forever and in it's current state still needs some patches. But the truth is we were hooked while playing, because there's also a lot to love here. It has the potential and charm of the biggest roleplaying games mixed with a unique setting and characters.

Live a Live does not fit into any canon. Although it's an RPG, it's not like others you've tried. Its short stories, in different eras, make each of its 9 chapters like a separate game. Too bad they're short and don't go very deep. But if you expect something with the classic nineties flavour, you'll find it here. And it's very beautiful.

Stray is an indie adventure that could be a Triple A game. It casts a cat as the main character, and focuses on exploration and puzzles,. Not only has a superfab technical production, it also has an entertaining gameplay and a touching message. The problem? When you finish it, it will leave you wanting more... and it's not very long.
