On one hand Alien: Isolation has great levels and some excellent sequences, but on the other it's too predictable, has technical issues and a disappointing Alien. In the beginning you'll be amazed, then you'll get bored, just to be excited at the very end. Isolation is much better than Colonial Marines but not as good as other survival horrors out there. It could (and should!) have been great.

Shadow of Mordor takes lots from other games but offers enough originality to make it worth your while. You should be even more interested if you're a fan of Jackson's movies - Monolith's game is based first and foremost on this particular license. The game mixes slasher and stealth elements very well, presents a juicy and brutal piece of Middle-earth's story and proves that neglecting this universe isn't a good thing.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has a hauntingly beautiful, unnerving world, and when you leave it, it's like waking up from a very complex dream. The game is extremely pretty and demands some interpretation and asking of the right questions. The Astronauts' first game has many little details, and none of them are accidental. Everything is well thought out and the gameplay walks hand in hand with the story. There should be more games like this.

FIFA 15 is pretty much one of the best football games out there. The Ignite engine works flawlessly and delivers a new quality, and playing with the football became more demanding, fluent and much less predictable. I have played an early version of the game a while ago, and it didn't seem like FIFA 15 was going to be good. But it is. Very much so. "Just one more game" syndrome is present and everyone should fall under its charm.

A very good product. The difference between this game and Firefly's previous game is devastating. Crusader II is basically Crusader wearing Stronghold 3, and that's not a bad thing. To be honest, the campaign could have been better, the interface clearer and the graphics prettier, but all in all the end result is worthy of praise from the fans.

Forza Horizon 2 is a much better game than its predecessor. It doesn't try to get additional money from the player, offers a completely open world and is more skillfully designed. Additionally the player receives beautiful, smooth graphics, tons of cars and a cool atmosphere. Right now Forza Horizon 2 has no real competitor in the arcade racer genre.

Wasteland is a mediocre game and an excellent adventure rolled into one product - thanks to a great atmosphere I found determination to overlook bugs, ugly graphics and a very weak interface. People who fell in love with Fallout and Wasteland should be satisfied. It's a pity that the developers haven't had the time/will to improve and rethink some things. Wasteland 2 could have been an atom bomb. Instead it's just a really loud grenade.

Destiny has an interesting, original idea for an online shooter that is wrapped in some excellent production value but stands on really weak legs. Bungie's game has a potential to be adored by many, but it depends on their tolerance for repetitiveness. In time, all of this will probably be extended and built upon, but right now this is just a dream. I quite like Destiny, but I won't be spending many more hours with this game.

Dead Rising 3 should appeal to people enjoying short, simple fun in a world full of imaginary possibilities (especially when they do it in cooperation). The game definitely will be fun for fans of zombies (it's pretty much a must buy for them). All in all, Dead Rising 3 is a good but monotonous game that had some bad luck. First it had to be finished for Xbox One's premiere (a giant patch followed) and now it's very poorly optimized.

The Sims 4 is a game taking a big step forward and then two steps back. A new emotions system is a breath of fresh air, creating your sim and your home have been improved, and it's all good. Unfortunately: frequent loading screens, a not-so-open city, a dull neighborhood, few careers and lack of many things known from previous games create an overall muddy image of the game. It's good, but not that good - fans could be disappointed.

The Walking Dead: Season 2 - despite being not as brilliant as Season 1 - offers an equally good and moving story. Clementine is now the main character and the developer chose to show her maturing over the course of the game, which was a great decision. The news season is a perfect interactive movie - if a very limited gameplay has put you off before, it most certainly will do it again. Of course, fans of The Walking Dead should definitely play the sequel.

WildStar was announced as a hardocore MMORPG that would offer a new quality to the fans of the genre. Most of these promises have been kept. Except for some technical errors, the game looks solid and offers a great, dynamic combat system which effectively doubles the fun. Given that this is only the beginning of the development of this new MMO, we are dealing with a highly promising production.

The Wolf Among Us is yet another good game from Telltale Games. One major flaw is dismissing some characters - that's the reason the first season of The Walking Dead is and will be a better offering. Everything else - from the atmosphere to the storyline - is really good. Apparently Lee and Clementine's adventure wasn't a one-time high quality offer. I can recommend this game with a clear conscience.

Sacred 3 is so very different from previous installments in this series, that gamers that appreciate classic h'n's mechanics and open world exploration will be extremely disappointed. Keen Games have produced a game dedicated to consoles and "couch gaming". But if you put aside your prejudice, you could enjoy Sacred 3 - it's a pretty good action game with a funny fantasy setting. Fans of the classics have to keep playing Diablo, Path of Exile or wait for Grim Dawn.

I'm not a fan of a current trend to remake and remaster last generation games, but the things that have been done to (especially) Metro 2033 are really impressive. If you had fun playing original Metro games, Redux will deliver at least the same amount of satisfaction. If you're new to the Metro universe, now is the best time to check it out.

Risen 3 is a game tailor-made for a fan of Piranha Bytes' games. The first Risen was too eager in copying Gothiks, and Dark Waters was a bit too weird at times. Titan Lords is a great middle ground. It's a game in a well known universe with better combat system, an improved character development mechanic and a big, rewarding world to explore.

The Last of Us for the PS4 is a perfect game for all people who haven't had the opportunity to get acquainted with it before. It's probably the best game available for this piece of hardware - great story, engaging gameplay and impressive technology. But if you know The Last of Us, you have nothing new to look for, except shiny graphics. And that's not really THAT important, is it?

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New N' Tasty is a great example on how to resurrect old games. All the great things from the original coexist with tweaks and improvements, that make the game look and feel modern. You can be a little upset by a high difficulty level and a very weak co-op mode (but that could improve in the next installment, right?), but all in all it's a really good game.

Sniper Elite III has some flaws - the AI works in mysterious ways and the storyline is silly. These minor issues don't cloud the complete image - the game is a well thought-out package with a good single-player campaign (full of semi-open missions), satisfying co-op and a solid, original multiplayer mode. You should definitely give Sniper Elite III a Chance.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War is one of the most original games of the year. It deals with a difficult theme and skillfully shows heavy emotions by picturing a war from an unusual perspective. A great story and superb audio-video aspect create an almost perfect game, although some simplifications and issues distort this image. Still, I will think about Valiant Hearts for a long time.

GRID: Autosport is a game aimed at fans of the first GRID. Autosport focuses on different elements than GRID 2 and presents a different approach to racing. Arcade lovers should stay with the previous game, and simulation (well, sort of) fans should consider purchasing Codemasters' new game, even though it's not the prettiest racer out there.

Spintires is a very good game. It's hard to imagine a better truck driving model - game engine paired with Havok covers up any issues the game might have (and it has some minor ones). Spintires is a game with an original theme and a great example of a simple, but extremely playable product. Great job.

Enemy Front is a chaotic, poorly thought-out product that mixes good elements with some really bad ones. The developers weren't able to utilize CryEngine's power and did not deliver on their promise of sandbox gameplay. It's a shame because the game has some solid foundations for a good WWII shooter. Enemy Front is better that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, but all in all it's a disappointment.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II is a very weak sequel with lots of technical issues and poor choices in terms of gameplay mechanics. New adventures of Van Helsing is still funny and can show off its excellent, steampunk atmosphere, but all in all it's not a good game. The developers failed to fix mistakes from the original and added some new ones.

Murdered has some really strong foundations but not enough real substance. The game lacks atmosphere fit for this kind of game and the story takes you down a really obvious road. Hiring a BAFTA winner, Jason Graves, who was responsible for Tomb Raider's music, didn't help. Murdered: Soul Suspect is a big disappointment - a weak thriller and a far-too-easy adventure game.

Among the Sleep is a very interesting offer for horror fans. A very original setup and unusual way of treating a typical "scary story" produce great results and the ending will surely stick with you for a long time. The game is fairly short, but is such a breath of fresh air that fans definitely will be satisfied.

Watch_Dogs has a very obvious storyline and some minor issues, but as a game it offered me lots of satisfaction and finishing it was a real pleasure (there was no boredom, and I can't say that about all Ubisoft's sandbox games). The most important thing is the idea - the developers had a good one and were able to deliver a very good game on top of it. If there were no GTA V and surprisingly good Sleeping Dogs, the final grade would be higher.

The new Tropico can be recommended only to those who aren't familiar with the series. For everyone else (especially for fans of this tropical dictatorship) buying Tropico 5 will be a missed investment - the developers are offering the same bottle of rum with a different label. It's still the same good, old Tropico - without significant changes in gameplay, flawed merchant routes system, technical issues and the addition of a multiplayer mode.
