The first episode of Burial at Sea provided over three hours of really exciting gameplay, but the original BioShock Infinite is still superior in that matter. And even though this DLC lacked a shocking ending, I really cannot wait to see what Irrational Games will show us in the second episode.

PC gamers have finally received one of the most unusual RPGs in recent history. It's a truly mesmerizing adventure - strange, sometimes hard to understand and even obsolete. But these things cannot really be considered as flaws. They're there for a reason. Dragon's Dogma is a great, original game that feeds of some well known clichés.

There is no revolution in the gameplay but modern FIFA never needed one. This year's edition has a slower game pace, improved player positioning and more focus on individual player stats. Thanks to all that FIFA 18 is more tactical but as entertaining as ever.

The Archimedes Code still has that unique atmosphere associated with the Secret Files series - there is a healthy, light way of dealing with the story, events and characters. I like that kind of approach to games. It's an embodiment of pleasant gameplay, a perfect way to relax. The developers have put some effort into innovations and variations in SF3, which can suggest, that it's the final installment in the series. It will be sad to let those characters go.

The new Halo from 343 Industries is a big step in the right direction. There's no revolution to talk about, but there is some fresh air being pumped into this series. There aren't enough unique new things to bow down to the developers, but Halo 4 provides loads of fun. If you're an old fan, you'll be very pleased. If you're against Halo - it's a great opportunity to give the series another chance. Halo 4 is not the best installment in the franchise, but definitely is the most atmospheric and varied one.

Abzu is a truly unique indie game that stands out among the faceless mass of other small games. The developers have shown an incredible attention to detail and have presented the player with a great, very well directed story. It's short and has almost no gameplay mechanics but it's still worth it. There is a secret, a plot and friendship.

If you're sick of open worlds, exploration, side-quests and collection XP, Call of Duty: WWII's campaign will entertain you with a style. And then there's a cool zombie mode that is much better than a mediocre multiplayer mode. WWII should remind you the golden times of firs CoD's - in a very good way.

The New Euro Truck Simulator is a game that will attract fans of previous games for many hours. I'm certain that many virtual drivers will spend weeks in their trucks driving through Europe. But if you're that kind of player that doesn't like driving trucks, there's nothing for you here - the rules haven't changed and the slow gameplay is as slow as before. But all in all, ETS2 is the best trucking game from SCS Software.

War Mongrels is a great game with a raw vision of World War II. Fans of Commandos series should be satisfied, history buffs will find some interesting facts, and all gamers will get an original story about redemption and a really solid gameplay.

Age of Empires II Definitive Edition is a truly meticulous remaster, one of the best of its kind. Fans of classic RTS that are not afraid of the archaic, core gameplay solutions should be thrilled to try out this gem.

I like this slow evolution towards a full-fledged stealth game reminiscent of the Hitman series, with more options and gameplay modes. Sniper Elite 5 is a good example of how to improve your series without implementing controversial ideas.

I have several small, indie game series, that have never let me down. SteamWorld is one of them. Be it meroidvania, be it a jRPG with cards - all my adventures with steambots were at least good. SteamWorld Heist 2 confirms that rule, and I simply have to recommend this game.

Heroes of the StarCraft saga deserve a better finale than the one shown in Legacy of the Void. The story isn't very appealing but fortunately the gameplay is. The missions are diverse (though a bit too scripted), new game modes are interesting and the unbeatable multiplayer mode has become even more dynamic. It's all good but you'd want even more.

Black Ops III is a good Call of Duty game but it's far from an overwhelming success. The campaign is too long and becomes boring with repetitiveness, and beautiful levels and character design contrast with some truly ancient technical solutions. The multiplayer part of the game is much more consistent and really cool but some of the new things were introduced in Advanced Warfare. Last year's CoD made more good for the series but BOIII will definitely find its audience.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 works well as a sniping game and a stealth FPP game with interesting maps. The title focuses on getting straight to gameplay instead of overwhelming players with numerous scripts and cutscenes. It's not perfect, but each installment of the series is getting closer to a bullseye.

Fable III is a good game but not everyone will feel equally entertained by it. It's a game aimed at a gamer who does not look for many paths of character growth, doesn't measure statistics and wants only to run around a fairyland and complete some very funny quests. If you manage to approach Fable III with such an attitude, Lionhead's game will guarantee many hours of great, fun gameplay. But if you're looking for an RPG - just forget about Lionhead and Peter Molyneux.

Sunless Sea is one of the most interesting virtual journeys I've had recently. The stories we read during playing are definitely one of the best and most original - but after some time everything becomes a routine. Pratchett or Lovecraft fans will find something here but for everyone else it's a lottery. Simply put: Sunless Sea isn't for everyone.

Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO has a metric ton of content and some well crafted fanservice. Do not expect a compex gameplay and try to forget about a problematic camera, and you should spend dozens of hours playing a really fun and flashy game.

For fans of Max and Chloe, this is a game you can't miss – Life is Strange: Reunion features great dialogue and does a fine job of tugging at the heartstrings, providing a fitting conclusion to the protagonists' story. However, the short development cycle and limited budget have left their mark on the game, and the gameplay can feel a bit too hand-holding at times.

Kona stumbles along the way and its "low-cost" feeling makes it look worse than, say, Ethan Carter or Firewatch, but still it's a pretty cool piece of game for lovers of short, but intense and mysterious adventures. A trip to Canada is a good opportunity to face some urban legends and forces of nature.

F.3.A.R is a difficult game to grade. On one hand you see some flaws every step of the way. A weak storyline, a terrible ending and lack of scary moments disappoint the most. Graphics, especially in the artistic departament, are weak as well. But on the other hand Day:1:Studios still managed to create a game full of great fun. All the flaws don't change the fact that it's the most entertaining shooter in a long time. Every encounter with the enemy gives a lot of satisfaction even if you have to repeat some stages a couple of times.

I honestly don't know what the deal is with Shadows of the Damned. Great names produce a fairly good game - we should be happy. But despite that I feel something's not quite right. It's just like being fooled by Banksy's "Exit Through the Gift Shop". But maybe it's a good thing? Reservoir Dogs' ending left us with a feeling that something is off as well. My intuition tells me to smile: Electronic Arts introduced a new franchise to the market and that's a dying habit. I recommend Shadows of the Damned only to those that can keep a healthy distance to the world of video games.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is a good remaster - it's obvious that Nintendo put some serious work into it. But remember that this Zelda is a peculiar game that can throw you off - especially because of its huge reliance on motion-sensor controls.

Pokemon Sword is a good game that demands serious changes. Fights are too easy and the storyline is really dumb - Pokemon needs a dramatic overhaul in terms of mechanics. There has to be more tactics than "water beats fire". Nostalgia is one thing but being archaic is another and far less enjoyable (even though it is extremely pretty).

Grim Fandango is a work of art but the remastered edition leaves some things to be desired. The original is worth every praise - the remaster is not. It's still a great game but when a developer tries to freshen up old classics for the younger generation it has to be done right. In other words - it's almost the exactly the same case as with Heroes of Might & Magic III HD.

Kenshi has hard difficulty. Kenshi is bugged as hell. Kenshi demands patience. But in return, Kenshi offers opportunities and freedom that you won't find anywhere in the RPG genre. If Kenshi were a AAA title with an unlimited budget, huge team, and high-quality design it would deserve much higher praise.

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem deserves your attention and patience. You can clearly see the passion, commitment and a fresh look on the hack'n'slash genre. Right now the game is a well-made evolution of old ideas but it has a chance to become one of the best if the developers deliver all the promised content. Despite many technical issues, Wolcen is worth your time. The game is simply too much fun.

It's worth to get to know the news Gears of War under two conditions: you don't own the previous Xbox console or you haven't had the opportunity to fight the Locust. There's an additional treat: all the other games from the series plus a still very satisfying multiplayer. But if you have played the original and have no interest in online play, skip it.
