The final DLC for Borderlands 2 has two faces. One is that of many new things: interesting maps, different from everything we got to know and a variety of completely new, well designed opponents. That's the "good face". The "bad face" is presented by the means of the shortest and most dull single player campaign yet. When compared to other two add-ons, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt is the weakest one. But this doesn't change the fact, that fans should consider buying it, because it's most definitely worth the price.

Learning the story of Kara, Connor and Markus in Detroit: Become Human was a pleasant and engaging affair. I really grew fond of the heroes and I pondered over every decision. Quantic Dream's new game is a really good interactive movie, and the degree of non-linearity is amazing. It's a pity that the story itself is totally bland, obvious and downright disappointing; the characters are flat and cliché, and the game doesn't deliver any meaningful message - it's almost baffling how the authors could have missed such an opportunity to make a statement.

Hard Reset is a very decent debut - a game that reminds (in a very nice way) all PC gamers of the somewhat forgotten times of simple but exciting shooters. It's very pretty, very explosive and very short. But still it's worth the money the developers want for it and, perhaps, with sufficient sales they will be able do create a true bestseller in the future?

The newest expansion to Men of War demands tons of patience and some knowledge about military equipment. It's one of the biggest strengths of this product, but at the same time its biggest flaw (nobody likes a boring game, no matter the theme). The developers put lots of work into a strictly military aspect (weapons, ammo, multitasking, various difficulties) and it paid off - it is the essence of Assault Squad 2, you just have to like it very much.

Midnight is a solid but safe follow-up to the direction set by recent WoW expansions. Blizzard is not trying to revolutionise the game, but instead is developing existing ideas and focusing on greater accessibility. The result is an expansion that impresses with its setting and several systems, but at the same time feels unfinished and, in places, too cautious. If you enjoyed the last few years of WoW, you will be satisfied, although the full potential of this expansion will only be revealed with subsequent updates.

The PC version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 is a letdown. PCs are being treated unfairly this year and gets only some of the new stuff (and not everything works the way it should!). The game will run smoothly even on older laptops but I don't think this was the goal - besides the game itself is clearly worse than its competitors and the next-gen version. Of course, you can see the changes and have fun, but that's not enough.

Retribution is worth your time under one condition –you like online shooters, you don't get carried away with emotions and will treat this game as entertainment and not a fierce match to the death. Game mechanics is perfect, you can easily feel differences between weapons, even after a slight modification. The game uses Unreal Engine 3, is well optimized and looks nice, although the industrial style and sterile locations prevent you from being astonished. I'm not a hardcore shooter fan, so after a while – even with all the weapons and customization – I became bored. Retribution offers nothing new.

It's not the worst console port I have seen, but it surely isn't the best one. The only real flaw of the PC version of Monster Hunter World is the buggy multiplayer mode. Everything else works just fine and deserves some attention - after all, this is one of the most captivating adventures in the virtual world ever.

If you own an 8th or 9th generation console and haven't had the opportunity to play any of the Mass Effect games, think no more - buying Legendary Edition is pretty much mandatory. It's a terrific remaster. But if you prefer to play on a PC, you may hesitate with a purchase as the original trilogy is much, much cheaper.

Cities in Motion 2 is a step forward. We have bigger, more complex cities, there are great new timetable and ticket selling systems, and we get an opportunity to build roads and modify the city's infrastructure. Sequel is better in terms of running a public transport company and even though there are some things that didn't work out and you encounter some technical issues, you can clearly see that the developers have done their best. Good job.

Namco's newest game should be recommended "only" to those players, that require the most basic ways of beating up another person. Fans of more complex modes will stop playing after a couple of nights and forget about the game soon after.

Against the backdrop of previous installments, No More Heroes III seems somewhat underwhelming, but it still brings a bloody mayhem dripping with absurdity. It's a lot of fun despite some setbacks (especially the technical side, ugh!), and it can easily be recommended to all adult Nintendo Switch owners. Don't say it's too weird, just try it.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is a decent game despite some obvious flaws. If you compare it only to adaptations of movies and series - it's one of the best I've seen. The game is pretty, engrossing, reasonably priced - a must-have for all fans of the Netflix series, and a strong proposition for players keen on turn-based strategies.

Styx: Shards of Darkness is a safe sequel. The developers have prepared more of the same elements that were praised in the original game. The gameplay is pretty much the same with minor improvements. All of that makes second Styx a good game, but not as surprising as the first one. Still, it's a tasty morcel for fans of stealth games.

The Way is a really well done, pretty and atmospheric platformer that resembles Flashback or Another World. We get some beautiful pixel art, a truly excellent soundtrack and tons of fun gameplay (exploring a mysterious planet is always fun!). The developers could have spent more time on the controls but all in all the results are pretty good. The Way is a very pleasant surprise.

Playerunknown's Battlegrounds is a superb example of adapting the battle royale gameplay model. This is a true phenomenon and an event of the year but it's far too soon to call it "game of the year". PUBG is more of a late early access - tons of things got better over time but that's only the beginning.

World of Tanks is a game with potential - it introduces many interesting elements that surely will find their way into the gallery of video gaming standards that will by used many times in the future. However there are three main problems: the game is half-baked, lacks attention to detail and has a terribly annoying payment system. I would rather buy a complete game and enjoy it with friends than have to engage in frequent micro-transactions that are a camouflaged form of a monthly subscription.

Playing EA Sports FC 25 provided lots of fun. The new things are cool, the online matches go on without problems, and crossplay guarantees rivalry between people with different platforms. But I can't look past all the technical issues - if not for them, the final grade would be higher.

Before the Storm is a good pit-stop between the first and second part of Life is Strange. The game itself is pleasant but not memorable. Chloe and Rachel's relationship is portrayed very convincingly but there is too few new things and the whole thing relies too much on the first game.

RoadCraft, despite a few controversial changes and shortcomings, strikes me as a way more engaging title than SnowRunner. This is a very welcoming game for beginners, and one that gives much more satisfaction upon completing tasks. And it is also a brand new, very potent basis to expand the franchise.

Brink definitely doesn't live up to our high expectations and hopes but it's still a game worth checking out by all shooter fans. Gamers who prefer single player experiences won't find anything for themselves here but online matches are really interesting. Despite all the setbacks, the developers have managed to create a unique game with its own identity that doesn't resemble other popular first person shooters.

The launch of a brand new Ninja Gaiden game after more than a decade has created great expectations in me, even more so, because this time it was a Platinum Games production. But such a long break could have created an image that is simply unrealistic. The finished product has a great combat system, but making Ryu a guest in his own game is a big problem.

Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team isn't a game that will be remembered for a long time but as an advertisment it works great. It'a a fairly difficult game that encourages you to try out all 4 avaliable characters and play in co-op mode (but unfortunately only in local network). It's biggest flaws are: it's short and has some ridiculously placed checkpoints. Other than that it'a s pretty solid shooter, developed so we could impatiently wait for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.

The Following, a big expansion to Dying Light, is a quite interesting game that will make some fall in love with it, and some will be left with a bad taste in their mouths. The story is more interesting, character development - deeper and driving the buggy is extremely fun. Unfortunately The Following makes parkour almost redundant and changes the unique gameplay model. There are good parts, there are bad parts, but all in all Dying Light looks more like Far Cry than ever before.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue isn't impressive in terms of content when compared to others sets but it's a good example of a 3DS game ported to a big console. It will please the fans; everyone else should steer clear - casual gamers won't understand the phenomenon of this Disney/Final Fantasy hybrid.

The Technomancer is a very pleasant surprise. Studio Spiders has learned a lot from their mistakes and is on the way to joining the best RPG developers in the business. The game proves how big the quality leap is in terms of gameplay mechanic, graphics, atmosphere and storyline. If The Technomancer sells well, the developers will be able to put more effort and money into upcoming games (and that will be good for everybody).

Frostpunk 2 is different from its predecessor. It too experiments with gameplay and tries to create a thrilling system of making difficult decisions, but the bigger scale of governing an entire region looks a bit unfinished. Great potential to create a giant world was squandered, and the thing that generates the most fun is the political system, not building your city.

The developers of A Plague Tale managed to create an emotional story seasoned with stealth elements - not very demanding, as the game is really easy. Nevertheless, the title remains a very compelling experience that I finished overnight - which might be the best review I can give. Also - it's insanely pretty.
