    Play through the story mode until you take out the first boss and you should have a good grip on how the game is played, once there I suggest you stop before the game turns you into a gibbering gibbon of pure hatred. Take that part as a tutorial and then play against your friends and you’ll have a whale of a time. I put the game in front of my family members, and for the first time ever I saw interactions that wouldn’t look out of place in a Switch infomercial, they were having pure, unadulterated fun and that’s where this game’s magic lies.

    If you enjoyed the original it's certainly worth going back for more, but there's not enough for returning players that weren't enamoured by its predecessor.

    There’s a decent RPG here under the F2P veneer, look past that and you’ll find a load of stuff to do.

    It's quite slow to start and has a pretty harsh difficulty curve, but when everything clicks, it proves to be the best use of the Jurassic licence yet. Running a park isn’t easy, but incubating your first velociraptor makes it all worthwhile.

    Whereas normal Roguelites are content with the loop of combat and loot gathering, Moonlighter’s idea of selling gathered loot in your own shop is ingenious.

    A fun, fast, frantic puzzle matching game that hopefully won’t frustrate you to the point you want to throw your Switch like one of the game’s plates.

    Fox n Forests does a lot to appeal to your retro visual nostalgia while playing well in a modern gaming world. It is full of gorgeous pixel art visuals, nice writing, and interesting bosses. I really just wish it had some good HD Rumble and was a bit longer.

    If you enjoyed or enjoy games like Don’t Starve and want something like that with a great art style, Smoke and Sacrifice is for you. There’s always a sense of mystery that is nice and the mix of different mechanics works well. The world always seems huge and the game isn’t a short experience. If you’re willing to overlook some of these flaws like the UI problems, you will find a lot to love here. I can’t wait to see this improve over time.

    Developers who port multiple games to the Switch in a single package should add something to incentivize double dips and YummyYummyTummy has done just that. Even if you played these games on either system before, this is worth looking into if you enjoyed your time with Fallen Legion.

    The Switch version is fantastic for everything but online play. The lack of anti aliasing is only really noticeable if you play with RWBY and other characters together thanks to the new sprites versus the older ones. I had no performance issues at all. This game runs like a dream in portable and docked modes.

    The characters are interesting, and the psychological threads draw out the plot leaving you just as vulnerable as the patients your interviewing.

    Onrush takes the team-based multiplayer of Overwatch and combines it with a blend of Motorstorm and Burnout, creating one of the most unique and fun arcade driving games of this generation.

    A compellingly macabre adventure let down by so-so combat and a few niggling flaws.

    As its name suggests, playing this at times is painful, void of fun, and a chore that could've been avoided had a lot more care been put into it.

    The Switch version is pretty damn fantastic. I’ve played this on both PS4 and Switch. It plays great and everything runs and looks super on the Switch screen. If you’re a fan of the franchise, this is a great piece of history that has a lot of things fans will adore.

    N++
    N++ is a game that absolutely can be its best on the Switch but in its current state, I’d recommend buying it on PS4 or Xbox if you want to play docked. If you want it handheld, this is absolutely worth picking up right now.

    Pillars of Eternity II is incredible. From the layered-but-accessible combat, to the deep conversation systems and sailing around a world packed with quests and events; there are few RPGs out there that can stand up to this giant.

    Conan Exiles excels in its sense of place, and has an absorbing and complex crafting system that will keep you coming back, but there is no escaping that it is a deeply flawed game that still feels a little unfinished.

    When it originally launched on the Switch, it had some performance issues and a poorly thought out icon on the home screen but both of these have been fixed since then. Now, Death Road to Canada is in my goto Switch games that I play while travelling alongside The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ and Enter the Gungeon. If you enjoy roguelikes, this one is super fun and pretty damn polished.
