Not so hot alone, Astro Bears Party comes alive with friends only to quickly run out of steam.

Gungrave G.O.R.E isn't a bad game at heart. It's a clear ode to the PS2 era, with almost no modern trappings at all.

Back to Bed is an acceptable puzzle game with outstanding presentation. The gameplay simply leans too heavily on illusions to offer a top tier puzzle experience, but it’s worth investigating simply for the dreamy combination of M.C.Escher, Salvidore Dahli and Monty Python.

Bloodshore is a short and sweet FMV game with good acting and characters, let down by a lack of branching narrative and a sometimes passive gameplay experience.

Lila's Sky Ark looks and sounds terrific, and whilst pretty easy to complete, is a decent little diversion with some unique aspects that will provide a gentle and strange diversion from reality.

Pick up Tombstar if you’re looking for a time-killer that will challenge you and offer a little catharsis, but don’t go in expecting big things.

Don’t go in expecting to be blown away, and Splatter: Zombiecalypse Now is a very satisfying few hours.

The Last Oricru has some decent ideas and will scratch an itch for fans of Risen, but it’s not quite good enough to overshadow its peers.

Elrentaros Wanderings has the makings of a lovely relaxing game, but its repetitive nature and frustrating side objectives kill those cosy vibes.

Mugen Souls Z is a bland, generic JRPG. The only thing that makes it stand out from the crowd is the rampant sex that runs through it. Personally I found it distasteful; games are better than this, and Mugen Souls Z is the precise reason why the entire medium gets viewed as juvenile. If you like JRPGs you could probably do worse – nothing about it is broken – but you could also do a hell of a lot better.

WWE 2K15 feels like a real step back for the series in many ways, not the generational leap forward that we hoped for.

Choo Choo Charles never takes itself seriously, but there's a fun game at its core with simple yet effective mechanics.

As stunt games go, Pumped BMX+ is solid fun if a little light on variety. There's enough challenge here to keep you busy for a while, but it doesn't compare to the likes of Trials or Olli Olli in terms of addictive thrills.

A one trick pony, and once you’ve played through the first operation enough times to complete it you’ll have stopped laughing. The controls err on frustrating far too often, and while deliberately clumsy, the entire system is too inconsistent to provide much fun.

It will score a lot of points for the sake of nostalgia, but in all honesty the reboot does nothing important that the original didn't do better, 34 years ago.

Oh My Godheads is a 1-4 player, fast paced brawler based around massive heads of mythological deities which are out to get you. While it’s a lot of fun with friends, a lack of depth and poor AI mean it’s not so much fun without any.

House Flipper is a simulation game where you purchase and do up houses to sell for profit to do it all over again. It is mindless and monotonous, but there is catharsis in cleaning things up and returning them to some semblance of order.

A worthy sequel to the 2010 cult classic, Deadly Premonition 2 retains the series trademark charm with its oddball characters and outlandish story. The open world frame-rate isn't good enough, but if you can overlook that there's plenty of intrigue and laughs to be found in Le Carre.

Whereas Broken Eagle at least changed the way you play the game, Fallen Angel makes no real attempts to differentiate play style at all. Angel is a one-dimensional protagonist and is unlikely to resonate with players greatly, and the DLC is again woefully short and lacking in content to justify its existence.
