The Switch port is very inconsistent. In both handheld and docked modes, the frame rate is inconsistent. I shouldn’t be surprised considering it is 30fps on the PS4 Pro but it is so erratic that moving the camera in some situations might give you motion sickness.

The Inner Friend is a decent horror and while it is incredibly short there is enough variety to keep it interesting. It does have a couple of issues but it is saved by its interesting look at childhood fears. It’s a good way to spend an afternoon.

Despite adding a bit extra to this year’s career mode, there are some technical issues that plague the experience. Shame really, because NASCAR Heat 2 can be quite fun at times.

The real Paradox, then, is what exactly this game wants to be: visual novel or hardcore dungeon crawler. What’s here is entertaining enough, no need to worry about that, but you’ll enjoy it more once you accept that you’ve got a slightly sleazy schizophrenic on your hands.

For a score attack game Dangerous Golf lacks the ingredient to make you want to perfect it.

Nothing has truly changed a great deal but new additions to combat gel well with the outrageous, barbaric choreography.

Back to Bed is an acceptable puzzle game with outstanding presentation. The gameplay simply leans too heavily on illusions to offer a top tier puzzle experience, but it’s worth investigating simply for the dreamy combination of M.C.Escher, Salvidore Dahli and Monty Python.

The Isle Tide Hotel is an intriguing FMV game full of sinister mysteries to solve, but the pacing early on really makes it difficult to recommend.

Farpoint isn't bad, and to PSVR players who've never experienced anything like it, it may resonate harder. But know that there's far better out there in the same space.

Very good at what it does, but what it does isn’t revolutionary. It bears some obvious similarities to certain mobile games, such as Angry Birds, but doesn’t come close to matching them on any level, and one could argue it might be more suited to that platform.

The Last of Us Part I on PC is still suffering from issues, and while most have been put to bed, it's still worth waiting a little longer.

Mugsters is a game for people who enjoy puzzle games without much flair or fanfare about them. The emphasis is clearly on the puzzles themselves and, despite a few stumbles, Mugsters proves to be an entertaining game that’s easy to come back to and somewhat difficult to put down; and with a decent amount of levels, with multiple objectives in each, you’ll be spending quite some time getting lost.

Unfortunately, while its combat is initially exciting, the enjoyment doesn’t hold up after multiple chapters of the same gameplay.

It feels trite to put a score on a game like Memory of Us as it tells an important and poignant story that should be heard, it's just that at times the game parts get in the way of that story.

Unrest doesn’t offer much more than playing as characters, having conversations and dictating where their lives are going. It might offer a diversion for a while if you’re a fan of character-driven RPGs, but it’s unlikely to entice newcomers to the genre.

Dandara has some interesting ideas and great visual design, but it rarely feels rewarding. It drags in the middle and the final third just frustrates, sucking the fun out of the experience.

The controls are great and the setting, graphics and sound are unique, but this is also an example of what’s wrong with the IAP model: developers need to ensure that the player feels like their time investment is worthwhile. Only then will that player feel like they want to spend a little of their real money on in-app purchases.

Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission is a short game, but the gunplay is a ton of fun and there's a fair bit of variety in enemies.

It is the quintessential “bog standard” JRPG, a sad showing considering it’s part of a recognised and long-running franchise that has certainly hit some impressive highs in the past. It manages to make a killer combat engine redundant and boring, and comes across as a lazy, poorly-engineered mess in all other areas.

9 Monkeys of Shaolin's story is minimalist and fits a multitude of cliches, its gameplay is satisfying but limited, and the general atmosphere is brought down by mediocre visuals and formulaic music.

A game that held a lot of potential. Five or ten years ago, this game would have been an exceptional 2-player co-op brawler à la Gauntlet or Golden Axe. Today it’s a forgettable, short distraction that you’re unlikely to play through a second time.
