Poncho is memorable with its lush pixel art and catchy music but also for its frustrating level design relying on a single infuriating mechanic.- God is a Geek

Fat Princess is a fun, well made, but ultimately shallow four-player hack and slash with a cutesy aesthetic and amusing writing.- God is a Geek

TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 is still a good game, but some twitchy handling and framerate issues somewhat compromise the Nintendo Switch experience.- God is a Geek

Caught right between a needed update and trying to strictly adhere to the original template, Secret of Mana doesn’t commit itself enough in either direction to justify owning it above any of the other versions.- God is a Geek

The Lost Child is a good dungeon crawler but there are so many better ones. Kadokawa’s production values shine with gorgeous character art, great music, and even the voice acting. I wish they had gotten Experience Inc. to do the actual dungeon design.- God is a Geek

Maid of Sker has an interesting story based on the House of Sker folklore. The use of binaural sounds is extremely well done but is let down by its reliance on jump scares and repetitive sound effects. The holding your breath mechanic does help and adds an extra layer to the survival aspect.- God is a Geek

Dr Fetus' Mean Meat Machine is too hard for its own good, and the addition of deadly obstacles to the puzzle gameplay is just frustrating.- God is a Geek

Dust & Neon is an enjoyable twin-stick shooter with a cool cover mechanic set in a colourful world. But it’s held back by a strong sense of deja vu and a lack of fresh ideas.- God is a Geek

Even though the hedgehog’s deceleration is a resounding success, that precision in gameplay is hindered by a temperamental homing attack and subsequent cheap deaths. That aside, though, Sonic Lost World is unquestionably a return to form and a reason to care again – thankfully without the rose-tinted specs.- God is a Geek

Exile’s End is a true old school Metroidvania experience in both good and bad ways that will ring your nostalgia bells while pulling no punches with the gameplay.- God is a Geek

The idea of playing a game from the perspective of both thief and investigator is a fascinating one – especially when the two points of view overlap and interact – but Ancestry of Lies doesn’t manage to pull off this idea with the polish or precision required.- God is a Geek

A stunning action game that relies on story and performance over padding and tacked-on game modes, The Order: 1886 will nonetheless divide gamers with its short run time and reliance on cinematic dazzle.- God is a Geek

There’s a very good idea in here, but it’s buried under the monotony and the snail’s pace, and while it might be fine for a younger player that really likes dogs, I would hesitate to recommend this. It could have been so much better.- God is a Geek
