Sports Champions 2 guarantees solid family entertainment with soreness warranty.

Despite the missing Omega DLC and the frugal use of the gamepad features Mass Effect 3 conquers the Wii U with its well-known qualities as the war for survival wages on.

Tank! Tank! Tank! makes fun for about an hour, than you have seen everything. There is no variety, no gameplay-depth and old-school graphics.

Despite an uninspired melee system and a plateauing story ZombiU does a solid job in bringing an old genre to a new console. This is survival horror how it's meant to be.

For those who already own an HD-Version of FIFA 13 the Wii U Port may come as a disappointment, but for those who have just started their HD gaming journey FIFA 13 offers a well-done soccer simulation despite its resemblance to the predecessor.

Nintendo Land is a pretty cool Wii U feature-demo, which introduces the new gamepad with all it's innovations for the player. The games are pretty cool, but there are only 12 included, and only a few are damn fun. If there were more games and an easy-mode for untrained gamers, the game would be more entertaining.

New Super Mario Bros. U combines good old features with fresh and entertaining elements. The result is a stunning and thrilling jump'n'run experience for up to five gamers.

This game is the next reason to buy a PS Vita – clever gameplay, nice graphics, more than a pure port. With more game like that Sony's handheld could become a success in the end.

Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale is for sure the best fun-brawler yet.

Despite some smaller glitches Nike+ Kinect Training is one of the best latest Kinect titles. And even if a solid basic stamina is needed the extensive amount of exercises and the decent presentation.

Inazuma Eleven Strikers is a game with a lot of potential, with a funny multiplayer and the well made art works. Unfortunately, there is no flow and often the gameplay is messy.

WWE '13 is awesome and that's the bottom line cause the editor said so. Even if Yukes still didn't managed to create handsome faces, the positive sides definitely outweigh the negative sides of the World Wrestling Entertainment. All in all, there is more content, more wrestlers and especially a brilliant history lesson regarding the "Attitude Era" instead of a lame Road to Wrestlemania.

Danger Close's Medal of Honor: Warfighter cannot stand out of the huge amount of military shooters. And that's a shame, because aside from the evil terrorist's story, playing is quite good fun. Even if there is no proper use of the Frostbite 2 engine, Medal of Honor: Warfighter is a solid game that doesn't have too many own ideas.

The Power of Two has great elements. The cutscenes are pretty and the Disney-feeling with the original voice actors is great. Sadly, Oswald is an annoying gameplay element and sometimes you can't find the next goal in the game. The Power of Two, unfortunately, isn't the great sequel we were waiting for. However it still brings some Disney fun.

Despite the missing original German voice actors and a somewhat confusing menu LEGO The Lord of the Rings strikes with humour, level diversity and the original soundtrack. Particularly, the co-op mode caters for hours of fun for players of every age.

Can this game already be called Simulation of the Year? Even before testing the Farming Simulator 2013? Maybe, but the Farming Simulator 2013 has one advantage: A multiplayer. But even without a multiplayer, the Euro Truck Simulator 2 is an awesome simulation. It has perfect graphics, great gameplay and a huge amount of details. Long story short: It's a showcase simulation.

With their constant improvements the franchise has blossomed to the king of simulators. The many innovations are great, now you don't have just the cows, you also have to take care for your sheep and chickens, the free placeable objects and buildings are also a good idea and the sound and look of the licensed vehicles are just amazing.

Hitman: Absolution brings the stealth-fun back into the shooter-infested games universe. Of course you can shoot your way through the levels, but that's nothing compared to sneaking, knocking out guards, dressing yourself as the enemy and slowly walking through the level. The gameplay allows you to let your creativity flow and end the contract as you want it to end. That is the reason why the Hitman franchise is so successful.

PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale doesn't redefine the genre and doesn't make anything special but the mix of PlayStation-air with all the arenas and fighters, the entertaining gameplay and the cool multiplayer-action is damn fun!

Fans of the series have to forgo some typical elements, but in return they get quite amusing humor and stages, which want to be discovered.

There are some great improvements compared to the predecessor, but nonetheless Zumba Fitness Rush has its weak points. After all, the game offers a nice workout program for newcomers.

Of course there are a few glitches in the game, but Zumba Fitness: Core is nonetheless a great addition to every Kinect collection. The exercises are demanding and not ideal for newcomers but Zumba enthusiasts will spend fulfilling fitness hours with the game.

Disney Epic Mickey: The Power of Illusion combines traditional jump'n'run gameplay and the Disney-air to form a great 3DS game.

Storm Legion is a great add-on. It extends the strengths of Rift and has some groundbreaking new ideas like the awesome new housing system. Also the new souls are tactical and fit perfectly in the gameplay concept.

F1 Race Stars is fun, looks pretty and has the F1-license, but the magic vanishes very quickly because there are not enough tracks and not enough variety. It's a solid fun-arcade-racer with the well-known F1-stars but nothing more.

Sony went new ways with Wonderbook, but the debut-title The Book of Spells has some weak points. The story vom J. K. Rowing and the Harry Potter-air are great, but the detection doesn't work correctly the whole time, the game is too short and the gameplay is repetitive. I hope the next titles for Wonderbook will unleash the full potential of the new device, because The Book of Spells doesn't.

Riders of Rohan is the best add-on for Lord of the Rings Online thus far. It has one of the best mounted combats I've ever seen in MMOs and with the great, atmospheric Tolkien universe it is a great game for every fan of the books or the films.

7554 Glorious Memories Revived is the first big game from Vietnam. Emboli Games has drawn attention to itself and showed that there are also other shooter games outside of America and Europe. While the look and the gameplay are mediocre, the level of difficulty and the survival mode are a welcome change. Emboli Games didn't reinvent the wheel with 7554, but it's nice that you can join Charlie once in a while.

007 Legends may be a good game for the celebration of Bond's 50th Birthday, but after all it is too flawed to be recommended, not even for fans of the MI6 agent.

LittleBigPlanet Karting sports no big innovations, but it does everything quite well. Tons of levels, a nice atmosphere, multiplayer modes (local & online), the LittleBigPlanet air and good old Sackboy transforms the fun-arcade-racer to a highlight for all fans of this genre.

The developers of Firaxis did a great job of transfering the old PC-game into the year 2012. The view and the optics are not high-end but they are prefect for this genre, while the speakers, the loading-times and the multiplayer-mode are weak points. The gameplay is deep and tactical and the good old XCOM-setting is omnipresent. XCOM: Enemy Unknown makes round-based strategy socially acceptable again.

SBK Generations seems to have unlimited possibilities. You can change everything about your bike, talk to your engineer, adjust the degree of simulation and the strength of you opponents. Beside that you can choose from more than 120 teams, 190 drivers and 17 circuits, all licensed. The controls are pretty challenging but make a lot of fun. The extent of the game is huge. Too bad they didn't integrate a splitscreen-mode.

Nevertheless, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask is an amusing adventure, that doesn't briste with innovation, but again with charm.

Disney Princess: My Fairytale Adventure surprises with a really good mix of gameplay, atmosphere, Disney flair and variety. There are some customization features and an extensive game world. The only weak points are both the short playing time (about 5 hours) and the camera, which can't be modified manually.

Despite the short campaign Worms Revolution is a must have game for all wargame fans.

Activision does almost everything right and delivers a nearly perfect sequel. Skylanders Giants offers an enormous amount of content while all the great things the predecessors offered are imbued or originally found again.

Planets under Attack is a strategy game with addictive potential. The increasing difficulty even in easy mode makes the game a challenge. The skirmish mode and especially the multiplayer mode are the centerpieces of the game.

WRC 3, compared to its two predecessors, finally caught up a bit, but still loses against the one year old DiRT 3. Same as SBK Generations, also from Milestone Studio, the game has improved a bit but there are still better and more realistic titles out there. On the one hand the game looks quite good and the damage model is impressive, on the other hand WRC 3 offers poor atmosphere and presentation.

Halo 4 had the potential to be one of the best games of all time. The graphics are amazing and full of details, the soundtrack is outstanding and the story is epic and breathtaking till the last minute. The problem is that the game is just way too short. I mean it really is done in less than 10 hours. It's still worth every penny and is probably the best part of the series.

Criterion and EA deliver an entertaining online racer that won't go down in genre history as a revolutionary step in the Need for Speed franchise evolution however. A well done online experience saves an otherwise soulless game.

Assassin's Creed 3 mixes good old features with some fresh and innovative ideas. The new character Connor and the setting of the American Revolution fit perfectly. There are some gameplay improvements (e.g. sea battles) which make Assassin's Creed 3 the best game of the franchise.

SBK Generations provides four years Superbike action with licensed teams and racers. Unfortunately the game has a weak atmosphere, modest graphics and sounds, as well as a boring AI. Milestone Studio should really start to develop the franchise, instead of copying the old version over and over again.

Mugen Souls offers the typical JRPG look with matching music. Nevertheless the graphics aren't overwhelming and although the synchronization is great, even if there is no german version, there are just too much dialogues in the game. The turn-based gameplay provides tactical depth and the innumerable attacks and the Moe-Kill offer more variety during combat.

With the three official MX1, MX2 and MXoN (Motocross of Nations) championships, the 14 licensed motorcycles, 84 current racers and twelve official race tracks, the game seems to be pretty perfect. Unfortunately, there is no way to create your own player, the multiplayer mode misses the trick competition and the number of players in a race is just too low.

Warriors of the North is another great add-on for King's Bounty. The new Nordic campaign, creates new enemies and warriors, that bring more tactical opportunities. If you like the genre, Warriors of the North will be fun.

The major fault of Medal of Honor: Warfighter is the missing unique characteristic. Except for the Fireteam there are no innovations and whilst the single player campaign is too short everything in it feels long-known and you simply can't escape the "been there done that feeling".

If you don´t own Street Fighter X Tekken now, this is the perfect time to get it because the PS Vita version hits the mark almost with perfection.

Painkiller: Hell & Damnation is a real old-school shooter, which is for friends of the classic Shoot, Run, Jump.

Patchy is the word you're looking for to describe Harry Potter for Kinect. While graphics and controls are rock-solid, story and mini game quality can't quite fulfill expectations.

RollerCoaster Tycoon (3DS) is everything but not a stunning and thrilling game! The optics, the sound, the handling, the boring and unentertaining gameplay and bad use of the 3DS possibilities are the major weak points. On the other side RollerCoaster Tycoon is the first but probably the one and only tycoon game on the 3DS.

Naughty Bear received a 50% rating and since Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise offers more kills, more teddys and a lot of crazy outfits, we orient ourselves to the top, but nonetheless the game can't escape mediocrity.

Dogfight 1942 offers beautifully designed airplanes and heroic scenes and invites you for a fly in the scenery of the year 1942.

Zuma's Revenge, a little frog and shooting balls like a machine gun mix up to a classic match-3 game for all young people and those who want to stay young.

Because of the too simple and too repetitive Game design, you will not have that much fun with this game.

Soccer-Fans might be able to make friends with the clumsy controls and manage to earn virtual money in this quite interesting Career Mode.

The game will tire core gamers, but brings entertainment to families and kids who are looking for some fantasy-action with movement.

The FIFA Manager 13 is more challenging than its predecessors and requires more management by perception and empathy from players despite the possibility of delegate work.

NBA 2K13 again delivers by far the best presentation of all sports games. The realistic animations let you think one could really see a live NBA game. The commentators and the great audience are also a big part of the game's atmosphere. The change from the shot-stick to a dribble- and shot-stick is amazing and gives the player the chance to play like a real NBA pro. 2K Games and Visual Concepts again deliver the sports game of the year.

Well done alterations, an extensive track list and the trusted base frame prove once more that the Dance Central franchise is on top of the Xbox dancing world.

It was a really good idea to get some developers from the original-game. They did a pretty good job in bringing the great pc game X-COM: Enemy Unknown into the year 2012. Madden NFL 13 is without a doubt the best and especially the most exciting part of the series.

Forza Horizon in many aspects orients itself towards the predecessor. But the open world and the festival the game revolves around is incredibly entertaining. Brilliant graphics and the sound of roaring engines round out a great racing game.

WRC 3 has no challenger this year because there is no DiRT or other rallye game on the market. Milestone improved the game compared to the prequel but there are still some weak-points. The loading time is to long, there is still no split-screen mode and it's absolutely difficult to get started with WRC 3 if you are a newbie.

World of Warcraft stages a great comeback. Beautiful settings and an atmospheric story arc generate a well done Mists of Pandaria, while casuals celebrate the new and core gamers mourn the past.

Jet Set Radio is a remastered must have game for Dreamcast lovers. Groovy sound, funky environments and lots of areas to explore.

Liberation Maiden is not that work of art you might have expected, but it has interesting basic approaches and the gameplay is well done.

Unfortunately the abysmal AI and the strange first-person shooter sections spoil the basically good strategy game.

The Sims 3: Supernatural is the first expansion for a long time that really brings meaningful innovations into play.

Every player can choose his path and skill his own favorite skills. The setting and the light-shadow-effects are pretty cool, but on the other side there are graphical weak points and a quiet hero. Both kill a bit of the awesome atmosphere but all in all it's an immersive game with a deep gameplay experience and many ways to complete the missions. It's a must-have for all action-fans this fall.

The only great thing for DBZ fans is the brand new anime episode, but that's not enough to satisfy the players.

Chaos on Deponia continues the beautiful story of Deponia. The game brings nothing new to the genre, however it has great and funny characters, nice riddles and a fantastic atmosphere. Chaos on Deponia shows how an adventure game should be made.

This is not Resident Evil anymore – only the herbs and the well-known characters hold the connection to the first games of the franchise. It's a high speed action game with no real horror-elements and some weak points like the linearity, logical gaps and the scripted gameplay. On the other side the coop-mode (locally and online) and the cinematic storytelling are really cool. Resident Evil 6 is a cool action game but not a survival horror game anymore.

NHL has reached its peak with number 13. Realistic physics, brilliant ice control, a lot of scoring options, tougher opponents and goalkeepers and many different game modes. NHL 13 also has its negative sides. EA could have put new legends in the Be a Legend mode or a bit more balanced NHL moments in the game. There's no way that there are 26 challenges and certain teams are not in this mode. But with its True Skating Performance and its whole atmosphere NHL 13, and maybe NBA 2K13, are going to be my sports games of the year.

Action-Puzzler will love the fascinating mix of unlocking new flowers and improving your timing skills. You just can't stop playing … come on and get 'em all!

Despite the enormous amount of deaths you may die in Dark Souls, the game is compelling like no other. While the console version already offered a great package, the Prepare to die Edition adds new content and a few goodies. But beware; a controller is needed to play the game in a reasonable fashion.

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is a game with an undead, badass bunny as its main character. What more could one want? Seriously, the game is really funny and cool. The style is clearly not for anybody, but if you like that weird, bloody bunny the game will be perfect for you.

Tekken Tag Tournament is a well-made successor of the old PS2 game. The tag team fights add new tactics and new elements to the game. The game recycles a lot of old stuff, fighters, stages, even the soundtracks. However this is not bad at all, because if you play the game you get this strong old Tekken feeling.

Borderlands 2 is a role playing game combined with a shooter, including a Bazillionen weapons and enemies, with an extremely brilliant cel-shaded look. This and tons of loot are guaranteed to captivate the player to the screen.

FIFA 13 proves once more why EA's soccer franchise is on top of the mountain. You won't find a more complete gaming experience in any other sports title and the improvements made this year are a thrill for every soccer enthusiast.

Finally an anime game which doesn't only use the franchise name to call attention. One Piece: Pirate Warriors looks great, it's fun and provides the whole One Piece Experience, starting with Ruffy's fight against Buggy.

F1 2012 provides licenses, tracks, new modes and the usual high demands to players. The racing simulation consolidates its claim to be the best F1 game on the market.

Papo & Yo is the best indie game since Limbo.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 is the best game so far in Konami's soccer franchise. Despite some graphical shortcomings and missing licenses, PES 2013 captures the heart and soul of football and delivers a great gameplay experience.

Spelunky is one true old-school platformer and worth a try for true fans of those hard retro games like Battletoads, but not quite as unforgiving.

Quantum Conundrum immediately reminds players of Portal, yet it never really matches its charms and humour, but Chell's fans should definitely try this one while waiting for her (possible) return.

Each owner of a PS Vita who wants to play with Batman or Lego should buy Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes especially because of the great atmosphere and the thrilling fights.

Jagged Alliance: Crossfire is a solid tactical game, which has some renewals like the sector inventory or the optional Line of Sight. The Stop&Go mode works fine and creates nice, tactical fights. The economy part, the global map, has far too little options and is not sufficient for a real Jagged Alliance. Nonetheless Crossfire is a solid game and a reasonable option for every strategy fan especially due to the low price.

Madagascar 3: has some nice cut-scenes with the original voices of the movie, but there is simply far too little offered in the game. The story mode has so much boring tasks for the player even children would not have fun with those. However, the mini-games are funny, playable for two players and well made for children.

Guild Wars 2 sets a new standard for all upcoming MMORPGs. It may be too early to state that this game will dethrone World of Warcraft but it does a great job in trying. Nice graphics, an abundance of content and new takes on many MMO aspects ensure a great gameplay experience.

Despite too similar settings and a fast rising difficulty level Wreckateer delivers a solid casual gaming experience with a great implementation of the Kinect system.

Port Royale 3 is currently one of the best trading simulations on the market.

Port Royale 3 could have been something big, but the developers didn't try to put in a bunch of new features to reboot the series. Compared to the pc-version Kalypso removed the multiplayer-mode and the loading time is a bit too long. On the other hand the controls were mapped pretty fine on the gamepad, but i think the audience for such a game on consoles is pretty low.
