NHL 2K8 should be sent back to the minors for some retooling. Gameplay is king, and 2K8 plays fourth-line checker to the competition’s first line superstar.- GamingExcellence

A lot of people out there calling themselves gamers like to cry about there not being enough creativity in the land of game development. Well Ace Team sets out to prove them wrong. They may have only released two games, Rock of Ages and Zeno Clash, but both of these titles try to do bold things with games both in the art style and interesting gameplay developments. In the least give the demo for this one a whirl. Hopefully it'll grown on you as quickly as it grew on us!- GamingExcellence

If you're looking for a pure brainless gory game to pass the time and have decided not to reinvest the money you'd normally spend on a subscription to Tiger Beat magazine, I'd highly suggest Infected to cure what ails you.- GamingExcellence

Puzzle Quest 2 has its problems, that much is for sure. Look past the problems, and you'll find a game that's still pretty darn addicting.- GamingExcellence

We have the original Prince driving the story and it is always good to hear his voice. However, the combat has seen better days, and graphics are kind of hit and miss at times. Still, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is enjoyable and fans of this series will enjoy it.- GamingExcellence

A very enjoyable racer. It's not a game you'll still be playing in a few years, but in the meantime its destructible racing at its best.- GamingExcellence

Toy Story 3 isn't perfect, with some loose controls and a dull plotline to follow, seemingly more for the convention of having a plot in these games than anything else. The Toy Box mode adds a whole lot to the game, however, propelling it far beyond what a typical tie-in game offers.- GamingExcellence

A fun, over-the-top, don’t-think-too-much-about-it kinda game that offers quick flashes of surreal mayhem between moments of quiet exasperation. The main problem is simply that Just Cause doesn’t offer enough diverse content to keep its incredibly large world fun.- GamingExcellence

Overall, Lego: Pirates was a game experience I'd be willing to play over and over again in order to complete all of the side objectives in the game. Initially getting through the puzzles is engaging and being able to go back later and unlock all the things I couldn't access before is made less tedious by just how nice the game looks to play and the de-emphasis on the combat. And the fact that I'm playing with pirates, which as we all know are far more awesome than ninjas.- GamingExcellence

With a sequel already released on the portable console with a bevy of new features, it's a shame that Lumines Plus couldn't have lived up to its name and actually included something new beyond an additional skin or two.- GamingExcellence

While the story and some of the gameplay elements could use some work, the sheer variety of action is enough to set it apart from a lot of so called “run and shoot” FPS games out there.- GamingExcellence

Few titles attempt a real-time strategy/action hybrid, and even less actually succeed. The precision of point-and-click may be the time-honored interface for tactical games, but Eidos Hungary has produced an excellent, landmark entry for the genre on consoles- GamingExcellence

Regardless off all the brilliant work that has gone into it, Dreamfall remains cursed by the simple fact that it does feature long stretches of dialog, less action than most games, a mature and well-thought out plot, intelligent characters and, and here's the clincher, is an adventure game.- GamingExcellence

Hard Reset isn't what I'd call a complex game. The story is minimal, the gunfire is often, and the enemies are numerous. It has some good pacing, allowing you to take a breather and look for Nano after decimating a small horde of foes, but for the most part, you'll be emptying clips of ammo into the robotic menace.- GamingExcellence
