The Contra series is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and Contra 4 is a gift to the fans. If you're a fan of the series or even if you just like shooters in general, Contra 4 is the game for you.

This is, perhaps, the best videogame ever based upon a comic book. Combine that with the rich pallette of characters that are still untapped and it's no wonder that a sequel is already under way.

A great game, though not quite as good as those glory days of 2003 and 2004, when the series was simply amazing.

There are no other games available on any console with the charm and quirkiness of Katamari Damacy. None. Silly, absurd, and wacky, but innovative, creative, and original all the same.

Forza Motorsport 2 had to do a lot to achieve its predecessor’s own lofty accolades, and this entry certainly has all the right moves to match and – in some respects – surpass what the original Forza did.

The “killer-app” for the DS. With it's finely tuned gameplay and insanely high production value, this title will make a worthy addition to any DS library.

inFamous 2 is as close to an essential PS3 game as you're going to get in the run up to Uncharted 3, and with the inclusion of the UGC feature, it might even last you until then. Cole McGrath isn't winning any awards for emotional input, but he is tearing the house down with his acrobatics and incredible firepower. When you play this, you'll feel like a real superhero, or super villain, and whichever way you swing, you'll love every minute.

Involving missions, cutting edge graphics and an excellent narrative that, while not always living up to its potential, strives mightily to expand the storytelling and emotional connection while maintaining the right balance of fun and adventure.

WLK doesn't quite have the impact of the first game, and really should have had online play for competitive and cooperative play, but it's still a fun, addictive, and simple game that is almost like the anti-action game; it's just supposed to be easygoing and relaxing.

No other racer – if not game, period – offers more depth and replayability than Gran Turismo 4 does, despite itself, sometimes.

Bayonetta is a superb action title that gets props for still being very challenging for the hardcore action crowd, but accessible enough for less-skilled players to play – the forgiving systems in place allow for minimal frustration, which usually leads to said player becoming much more skilled than they were before.

It's a win-win situation for gamers no matter if they've done all there is to DMC3 or have never picked the game up in their lives. And now, the wait for Devil May Cry 4 is on.

It gives players a satisfying, open-world experience – those who want to follow the main story can do so in about 15 hours, while the completionists will have a field day with all of the side missions and other items added into the game

At the end of the day, Grand Theft Auto IV is an amazingly good game that overcomes many of its problems.

Call it Crackdown 2, Crackdown 1.5, or if you're really snide, a Crackdown expansion pack, but no matter how you slice it, Crackdown 2 is a fun game that's exceptionally playable and enjoyable even if it's not as original as it could be had the game received more development time.

This is no cash-in. What at first seems like a God of War clone turns into a grown up version of Zelda - a bloody adventure with dark themes and settings, and it actually works. The puzzles are clever, the combat is visceral, there are a good amount of items and upgrades to be had and the world is convincing.

Rayman Origins is a rare beast, both as a side-scroller and a clever game with a ton of heart. This is a game with a sense of humor and a sense of joy. Fans of the genre would be fools to miss it, as would anyone who appreciates artistic and eccentric game design, or who wants a non-traditional but extremely solid multiplayer title.

At $20, if you're a racing fan, don't pass up what feels like a full game.

Hands down the best game in the series as well as one of the best games on PSP. From gorgeous graphics, to break neck speeds, Pure delivers with nary a hiccup.

After the mess of new ideas that was Mega Man X7, it's amazing that X8 can go back to the basics and seem completely fresh by not doing anything new.
