Even though the console source wasn’t overly impressive and the PSP suffers from a number of new control issues, it’s still a good start.

House of the Dead: Overkill is a great attempt to bring light gun games back from the video game graveyard, offering a unique style, entertaining scenarios, and a bit more depth than you would normally find in this type of shooter.

Offline it’s a hollow shell of an action/adventure game, but online it’s a fun, addictive, and worthwhile entry – a game that’s based on teamwork rather than endless deathmatches.

While Total Overdose won't be revered as a classic for years to come, it is a surprisingly solid game. You'll be sucked in by the game's very fun action sequences and the chance to blow up everything with a well placed flying car is just gosh darn fun.

Many of the gameplay quirks are just twists on tried-and-true conventions, but the single-player experience provides some decent gunplay, and there is some multiplayer action to keep the guns blazing a little bit longer.

While it doesn't quite measure up to Contra III or Contra 4, Contra ReBirth scratches that side-scrolling itch a lot of us old-timers have.

Designed with both replayability and pick up & play in mind, WRC is both lengthy and challenging, but simple enough to play for 10 minutes a day on the train to work, between classes at college, or any other scenario where time is needing some killing.

But after completing the game in a three-day span, the challenging and short-lived ten missions felt average. Or in another case inefficient, with the only extras being that of a short clip of concept art and one unlocked movie that had just been seen.

By no means a genre defining (or reinventing) game, Tak 2 delivers a solid experience from start to finish.

Dead Rising fans - you know who you are - are going to love this game. If you still bust out your copy of the 2006 original, do yourself a favor and pick this up.

Ultimately, Dead Island is fun and deserves to be played, but I recommend waiting a bit until the game is patched into a more stable state. Visual gaffs are one thing, but problems with auto-save that have the publisher recommending you avoid multiplayer, the game's best feature, are a complete red flag.

Dead Rising fans - you know who you are - are going to love this game.

For veterans it will get old fast, while new players may find more to sink their teeth into.

Players who missed the original game will certainly find a solid, enjoyable, but ultimately forgettable RTS experience in Warhammer: Mark of Chaos Battle March.

Though it does have something to add to the RPG genre, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World does not deliver enough to be considered one of the great.

Although the game doesn't have too many bonus features and the different tables are similar in design, you still get 4 challenging and very realistic looking pinball tables at your disposal.

With a diverse group of characters, game modes, and maps, it's a good choice for those who want something with some instant satisfaction.
