A technically solid first person shooter that creates a great atmosphere using above-par visuals and a wide array of battlefield sounds. Combined together, these two aesthetic aspects of Big Red One create a very intense atmosphere.

Rogue Galaxy fails to live up to its promise as a "Final Fantasy" killer. Sure it's one of the best-looking games to date on the PS2, nearly loading free, and has an awesome voice acting crew, but the story and repetitive battles can occasionally becoming trying at times.

What's here is a unique, creative and obviously lovingly crafted tribute to guns and the shooter genre, but somewhat limited by some strange AI tendencies, a short playtime and some really weird design flaws that make Black occasionally more frustrating and cumbersome than it really could have been.

Even though it's more of the same old, same old (a charge that killed the classic Mega Man series back in the SNES/PSone days), Mega Man 10 is a pretty good 2D platformer and Mega fans will thoroughly enjoy it.

The technology isn’t perfect at times, but it certainly supplies a fun gaming experience in an active fashion.

The level design is really great (I love Lungfishopolis and like Adam, I refuse to say why because it's just that great). The gameplay, however, isn't as inviting.

Evil Dead: Regeneration has a different feel from its predecessor and it’s a little on the short side, but Evil Dead fans should eat it up.

That being said, the game mechanics are definitely learnable for the patient (and determined), and taking the time is extremely rewarding and enjoyable. The title drew me in, the game piqued my interest, but it was definitely the humor that kept me coming back again and again.

It's also annoying that you have to redo every portion of a mission if you fail at one of the later objectives.

If you need some news tunes and enjoy Aerosmith, then it may be money well spent, otherwise save up for some licks from your favorite bands on Guitar Hero: World Tour.

The controls on the system are as tight and responsive as ever and the action...oh, the sweet action...still delivers.

This game plays somewhat differently – for the better – than the previous release, and the online mode is still good fun.

    Gun
Are you a fan of westerns? If so, there’s no reason not to grab Gun while you wait for the next round of 360 titles to hit, but it’s so short and offers little replay value so a rental is probably in your best fiscal interests.

An excellent collection of classic arcade games that will make us old fogies all warm and fuzzy with nostalgia, and give young whippersnappers a chance to experience the same gaming joy we grew up with.

Sega Rally Revo is a throwback game, before the modern day racing games that have to be loaded with stuff to do. That lack of variety does hurt it, but it's covered by the very solid gameplay that is both accessible and challenging, fun and at times, frustrating.

Homefront's campaign misfires all revolve around poor pacing and a lack of identity. It's not as polished or as fast-paced as Call of Duty: Black Ops or Bulletstorm, but it's also not as tactical or true-to-life as Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. Its multiplayer, where those issues aren't a problem, is worth a look, even if you have to pony up for $10 when renting it without an online pass code.
