The games in MMXC are the kinds that will make your wrists hurt and your palms sweat, and I mean that as the highest compliment. [Feb 2006, p.97]
  2. If you've got the patience and the drive, Mega Man X Collection is a fun title that challenges your gaming skills and gives you a good history lesson in the process.
  3. Mega Man X Collection features the triumphs and failures of Capcom's most dynamic duo. It faithfully renders all of the aspects of the games, be it the quality platforming, the tough bosses, or the less savory things like bad level design and ridiculously challenging obstacles.
  4. Even though the unlockables are unbelievably light, Mega Man X Collection is a great value.

Mega Man X Collection is money well spent. X1, X2, and X3 are the best games to show up in a retro set in quite some time. Don't miss them.
  6. Mega Man X Collection follows the same basic formula as Capcom's excellent first Mega Man compilation, but it just doesn't have quite as much to offer.

A respectable compilation of the blue bomber's other adventures, though it pales a bit in comparison to the Anniversary Collection released a couple of years back.

With all honesty, this Collection (even without X7 and X8) makes the Legacy Collections cry.
The emulation here is great, all games run perfect here, and they even included the PSX version of Mega Man X3!
The Gallery is good, the extra game is unexpected and... kinda lame, Battle & Chase?
The only issue I found is that Mega Man X6 doesn't have audio clips on the dialogues...
Overall, this collection is a far superior way of playing these games than Legacy Collection.

Nicely done. All the games seem to be identical to their original versions. Some people may say otherwise... however, I've played most Nicely done. All the games seem to be identical to their original versions. Some people may say otherwise... however, I've played most of these games in the past and they are the same. Gameplay is nice... a little frustrating at times. It definitely brings back a challenge for today's gamers - the kind of challenge that many of today's games can't offer. Bonuses aren't massive, but the games shouyld justify buying the collection. Expand

X collection is no A megaman collection is, for the most part, something you will definitely buy and something you probably never will. X collection is no different, and will probably fail to bring in any new fans to the iconic character. This game is shallow, meaning there is very miniscul amounts of extra content worth unlocking, and the 7 games included are nothing spectacular, all extremely similar in gameplay and execution. Simply said, it drowns in megaman, and if your a fan, enough said. With a resonable amount of boredom and extra cash, I would only suggest this title to ones who are willing to except the fact that it offers absolutely nothing revolutionary and new. Its an outdated mesh of mediocre to fun sidescrolling mayhem. Expand
