Atelier Annie is possibly the most fun and accessible entry of the Atelier titles released in the West. The RPG combat isn’t memorable, but the simulation aspects that make up most of the gameplay will keep you coming back for longer than you expect.

Armored Core V is big, explosive and full of good ideas. Too bad the game is nearly incomprehensible. Thankfully the game's strong online component and roughly one hundred levels make up for some of the learning curve problems, but don't go into this game looking for an easy ride!

Double Fine's Happy Action Theater isn't a great "game", but it is the best tech demo and use of Microsoft's Kinect peripheral to date. There is a simplistic joy to be found in this title and you really get out of it what you put into it. There is no purpose, no goal(s), and no real requirements to succeed. Players simply interact with a variety of environments and have a ton of fun. It may not sound like much, but it works, and the manner in which it does is almost like magic.

Captain America: Super Soldier on the Wii isn't as bad as some people claim. While the combat is somewhat repetitive, the upgrades actually help you and the ability to counter attack is useful when surrounded. The graphics aren't anything special, but the gameplay somewhat makes up for it. This is probably one to rent first, but for $40, it's not that bad.

In context, Beyond the Alley of the Dolls is a great Sam & Max episode. Unfortunately, taken by itself, this is definitely the season's weakest link.

The Legend of Kage 2 may not be the perfect 16-bit revival, but it's definitely worth checking out for those who love fast-paced ninja platforming action!

Bohemia Interactive's ArmA II provides an ultra-realistic military shooter for those that are up to the challenge. There are some rough spots, but those are adequately compensated for by the complex and realistic battle environment.

Puzzle Quest Galactrix sounds like a dream come true. I love the epic space battles, cool technology and, most importantly, the first game. So why is it that I can't get into this pseudo-sequel? This is a good second attempt, but I liked the first game better!

World Invitational is classic Hot Shots through and through, which is both good and bad. The game is a blast and has plenty of content to keep fans occupied for a long, long time but ultimately it doesn't do anything to further the series or draw new fans to the experience.

If you have 3 bucks to spare, the Mars table is a decent addition to your Pinball FX2 collection. It isn't on par with the excellent Marvel tables and it comes up short in the spectacle department, but the solid pinball mechanics keep it challenging and fun as long as you're willing to put the play time in.

Deadly 30 is one of those games that frustrates me, but it's not necessarily the game's fault. I was questionable about how meshing three genres together would work, and the result isn't that bad of a game, as long as you know what you're doing from day to day. Definitely not for everyone, but not a bad game for a $5 download.

But this is undoubtedly a great start, despite a below average sprinkling of gameplay bottlenecks. It translates remarkably well as an adventure game, but isn’t completely hogtied by adventure game conventions. Bring on episode 2.

Life in space is probably not easy, so it's no surprise that there is a distinctly tough learning curve in Evochron Mercenary. Those with enough interest and diligence to stick with it, though, will be rewarded with deep, unfettered space sandbox game play.

Gotham City Impostors is a solid shooter wrapped inside of an entertaining tongue and cheek presentation, which results in a very enjoyable game. The core gameplay is right in line with everything that you would expect in a modern shooter but it just so happens to also include a great sense of humor and and a great presentation style. Batman and shooter fans alike will find plenty to enjoy with the game but end up wishing that had more maps and match types in the long run.

With its unique art style and creative puzzles, there's a lot to like about Axel & Pixel. Unfortunately it's marred by a short run time and puzzles that can be easily solved without using any tips.

Phantom Brave is a charming little adventure game from people who know a thing or two about the genre. Unfortunately, the intriguing quest is marred by shallow gameplay and some pacing issues. If you're already bored of the newer role-playing games, then give this seven year old port a good long look!

Moon Diver takes all the charm of a retro-action arcade game and presents it with a shiny, new-generation look. At the core though, this game is about as old school as they come. As much as I love it, I am afraid that this is one solely for fans of the genre.

A solid romp through the Great Divide and some answers given from Ulysses makes this a DLC to get for Fallout: New Vegas players. Some bad bugs crept up and Ulysses can be a little bit annoying in the way he talks. The story was a little disappointing, but not too bad. A little short and a little linear for those that like to wander and want a lot to explore.

The single player campaign is a lot of fun with some great moments sprinkled in. It's really short though and some bugs crept into the product that made it a little annoying. MP Summary: Multiplayer looks good from what we've seen and could challenge Modern Warfare 2's throne if supported by EA and DICE over the long haul.

Puzzle Dimension is a simple yet solid game for the PSN, or the PC / Mac for that matter. It isn't hard to figure out in terms of how to play, but some of the puzzles will really push your patience to the limit. Puzzle fans are sure to enjoy Doctor Entertainment's freshman offering.
