The innumerable customization options are enjoyable enough, but the overly difficult game play and poor controls keep the game from being much fun for casual mech fans or anyone new to the series.- Gaming Illustrated

For those of you that are die-hard NASCAR fans, you’ll have to pick this up for the updated (but slightly out of date) roster, and the new features put in are decent. However, if you’re looking for a ground-breaking NASCAR title, you’ll probably be disappointed with this release.- Gaming Illustrated

This leaves Nightshade’s appeal divided pretty evenly between those who will play at it, improve, and get better, and those who will quickly dismiss it as too hard. For those who stick with it to get high ratings in the stages, there’s a lot of value.- Gaming Illustrated

The PC highlights include the multiplayer version (which is definitely a lot of fun) and the much-much-much improved graphics (of course, you got to have the right tools for the job).- Gaming Illustrated

A pretty decent game that isn't anything spectacular, but for fans of the movie and people that enjoy bash-em shoot-em type of games involving multiple players will definitely enjoy the game.- Gaming Illustrated

A lot of games these days rely on ridiculous move combinations to advance levels, or increased difficulty means that your enemy has more health and you deal less damage. DW5E actually keeps it real by making the difficulty based on skill more than the other cheap tricks developers are using these days, and the AI is first class.- Gaming Illustrated

Easily the most impressive feature of the graphics is the level of detail with the fluid motion with all the characters in the game. It's almost a combination of 2D characters running around in a 3D world, but there's no denying that the graphics are amongst the best on hand-held devices at this time.- Gaming Illustrated
