All of that said, if you haven't played it yet, the $20 that Capcom is asking for RE4 Ultimate is well worth it.

Still, I'd only recommend buying it if you happen to have a second PS4 controller lying around — it's just that designed for local multiplayer. Then again, if you're looking for a game that single-handedly justifies the purchase of a second controller, Towerfall: Ascension is probably it.

Sucker Punch seems to have found the ideal blend of enjoyable, super power-infused gameplay, stylishly striking visuals, and an open world sandbox setting.

Even if you don’t go for a garage full of tanks and just buy one or two, or even just play with the provided starter tanks, you will have fun with this one. It’s truly up to you how much you want to spend on this one, so you really have no excuse for not at least trying this one out. Download now and start blasting away!

While Titanfall sadly lacks any single player story mode, it is how wonderfully the game looks and plays along with some exciting game modes that will draw gamers in and keep them sucked in for quite some time.

Either way, this is still an incredibly fun, intense, and satisfying experience. If you wanted more Dark Souls, this sequel certainly delivers.

No matter how odd it may seem, as soon as the opening notes of the very first song ("Ievan Polkka") kick in, you're probably going to get hooked.

There’s enough merit to the stage designs and standard controls that make this something worth playing, but not in that must-have day one way that tends to mark a quality Nintendo release.

Overall Thief is an enjoyable experience that deserves to be played and explored if you are a fan of stealth games. Trying to figure out a creative way past the guards can be very fun and satisfying, and replaying missions to find all of the collectibles can be quite challenging and rewarding.

It's possible that, one day in the future, Basement Crawl might be worth checking out, but at this point in time, I wouldn't bet on it.

The modern day Square Enix track record rarely does itself any favors, but this is one instance where I think the company and talented folks involved should be commended for their effort.

I don't think I can argue that Magus is a "good" game. In fact, there's a strong argument to be made that it's kind of terrible. It's short, it's ugly, it's easy, it's kind of stupid — basically, by any conventional judging of good/bad, it probably comes out on the wrong side of the ledger...Here's the thing, though: I loved it.

It's not a must-own game, but it is a very, very good one, and you could do far, far worse than it if you're looking for something fun and inexpensive to pass the time between those must-owns.

The length is less to blame than the overall design as an RPG, where players will notice things such as a striking contrast between pacing when considering how strong the story is. Stick of Truth’s main concern ultimately lies in its ability to match a good game to a really entertaining premise, which is a far more alienating factor than whether people like your show.

While it's definitely not quite terrible, it's also not content-filled enough to be worth a purchase unless you're really desperate for a puzzle game.

If it wasn’t for the solid combat system, and fleshed out abilities, there would be little merit in exploring this adventure.

I can say this, though: it's a visually and aurally appealing game, and it's a perfect fit on the PS Vita.

Despite the fact that the game's battle system never fully clicked for me, I was won over by the well-rounded universe that Stoic has established, providing players a few good reasons to count their lucky stars when training some women later beget archers for combat, or just for having collected some supplies without losing fighters in the process.

Fort Defense obviously shouldn't be your first choice if your Vita's crying out for some tower defense — not when Pixeljunk Monsters and Plants vs. Zombies are both available — but if you've got a few dollars and that particular itch to scratch, then it won't be the worst purchase you've ever made.

If you don't mind Murphy's slightly handicapped functionality on ports of Rayman Legends, then the only deciding factors are what bonus costumes you care about, and whether you do or don't have a PS4.

You've got a bunch of horrible characters "running" (for lack of a better description) around in eyeball-meltingly ugly environments, solving puzzles that veer from insanely easy to impossibly difficult, to advance a story that makes no sense whatsoever.

That said, I don't want to dissuade anyone from getting Toukiden. It's obviously not the most original game the Vita has to offer, but it's still done incredibly well — no small feat when you consider that even if the genre may be overdone, the two similar games that have come to the PS Vita in North America before it (Soul Sacrifice and Ragnarok Odyssey) both whiffed in their own unique ways.

The real challenge, of course, comes not just from beating each world, but clearing them completely and unlocking all goods hidden throughout. It may not take an exceptional amount of time to simply finish the game, but you’ll certainly put a lot more hours into chasing all the extras.

That said, better the developers create a bunch of really enjoyable levels with zero replayability than shoehorning in a three-star system at the expense of fun, right? Obviously, the ideal would be both, but if you're going to make it an either/or thing, then I suppose 10tons picked the right option to go with.

All of which is to say: I'm not sure whether I can totally recommend Dustforce. On the one hand, it's so wonderful to look at that it seems like it'd be a crime to not suggest you buy it. On the other, if it's not a broken game, at the very least it's one with issues that absolutely need to be fixed before it can truly be called playable.

The incredibly fun combat system and the sheer amount of customization options make this final entry in the trilogy well worth seeking out. If you’re coming into this with the hopes of seeing the story turn itself around then you’re going to leave disappointed. But if you enjoyed the refinements made in Final Fantasy XIII-2, then I think you’ll find a lot to love about Lightning Returns.
