Lost at Sea is the worst kind of bad game: one that’s just plain boring. You can’t even take enjoyment from its lousiness. It’s competently done, but it’s a dreadfully dull experience, and for all the game’s efforts to make you feel something, the only emotion it’s likely to evoke is boredom.

Graphics, average./ Gameplay is repetitive./ Audio, grating.

Even if Gods of Almagest had tried to explain itself, though, I don’t think it would’ve been significantly better. Everything here is terrible, from the incomprehensible story, to the baffling gameplay, to the lousy graphics. It’s a shame that this is one of the final games of the Vita’s lifespan, because it’s hard to imagine a worse send-off (apart, you know, from the one Sony is giving it).

A terrible game with generous checkpoints is still a terrible game. Thunder Paw manages to take a formula you wouldn’t think would be easy to screw up, and somehow finds a way to screw it up. It’s an abysmal game, and everything about it is best avoided.

The end result is not only a slap in the face to the Saw faithful, but to dangle it at a full price tag is the "Saw that broke the camel's back."

In better hands, from better storytellers and more accomplished developers, I have no doubt that Anamorphine could have been something interesting. The core idea, as I said, is promising. But when you botch everything around it so thoroughly, then — as we see here — the end result is something that no one should have to endure.

Obviously, none of this should be a surprise. Timothy vs the Aliens was awful when it came out on PS4, and it’s awful now that it’s on the Switch for almost all the same reasons. It may be a little brighter and easier on the ears, but the fact remains everything else here still stinks.

This game is, to me, nothing more than a sad attempt to cash in on the nominal successes of the first game.

If you want a game that is a pale imitation of a "good" platformer, than give Pinobee a try.

Honestly, there’s zero reason to pick up Zotrix Starglider, even if you’re a fan of shmups. There are dozens and dozens of them on the Switch. Even if I’ve only played a handful of them, I feel quite confident in stating that this has got to be one of the worst.

A tutorial or "How to Play" movie would've gone a long way here. Instead newcomers are left fumbling in the dark, which tends to be more frustrating than fun.

Overall, I feel like it's a pretty poor entry on the 3DS, and it would have been better off as a simple collection of puzzles than something enveloped in a poorly told noir tale.

Combine the relatively poor visuals with monotonous level designs, and you'll find yourself in the middle of a level with no real visual cues of where you are within the level.

Mind-numbing, rambling dialogue. Add to that the simple fact that one would have to go pretty far out of their way to make the game challenging in any way, and the whole package is destined for the fullmetal scrap heap.

The graphics are there, as is some of the sound, and a few decent gameplay elements, but the boring combat system, repetitive scenery, and horrible menu set up really keeps the game from ever becoming more than a mediocre waste of time.

Without a multiplayer mode and so many better versions of the game currently available on the GBA, like "Bomberman Tournament," this game really isn't worth $20.

The uninspired fighting is replicated by waggling the Wii remote instead of hitting a button, which is as much of a disaster here as it is in any other game.

Three years in, you might think that its makers would've stumbled across something vaguely resembling a formula that works — and yet, here's this game, showing that such expectations are entirely incorrect.

Year in and year out, its 3 yard gain on first down then a 10 yard sack on second down and we’re caught in 3rd and long. Just when we think EA is righting the ship on Madden, we get this lazy borderline rerelease of the previous year’s iteration. It’s clear the NFL doesn’t care about the quality of their games, as long as you’re not making “after the play hits” for which the Blitz franchise was famous. No one is holding the developers and publishers accountable anymore and the only way to see change is by voting with your wallet. Don’t buy this year’s release of Madden. Even if you didn’t grab Madden 23 last season, go pick it up used and update the in-game roster. EA should be embarrassed passing along Madden NFL 24 as a brand new release for $70. Enough is enough and it’s time for a change.

The game isn't terribly long, and is easily broken in most levels in the sense that it's actually impossible to lose. This may be a frustrating concept to parents as there are no consequences for failing, but read into it how you will.

It might be worth it if you’re obsessed with Trophies or Achievements on another system, but if you’re just playing for the fun of it, don’t bother. There are plenty of other, better platformers to be found on the Switch.
