Although this game may not be a hall-of-famer, it would easily win in a one-on-one grudge match against “99 bottles of beer on the wall.”

It would be amazing if Electro Ride was secretly intended to be a critique or polemic or something. But that’s giving it way too much credit. Instead, it’s just a boring racing game that tries to cover up its significant flaws with some pretty lights and a cool soundtrack. No matter how cool Electro Ride tries to look, it can’t hide the fact that its tracks are dull and its cars can’t drive straight.

I can only recommend X-Blades to people who really, and I mean really, enjoy the endurance challenges in some of the other games and don't want anything more than that.

Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom is just a solidly competent 3D platformer that doesn't aspire to be a lot more than it is.

Just another average licensed game that decided to disrespect the wrong film.

No bells, no whistles, just boring repetitive driving. So boring in fact that I actually nodded off twice while playing it one Sunday afternoon.

I saw it quickly deteriorate into yet another cash cow trying to capitalize on a Hollywood hit.

You might think that I'm overreacting, that I should just look at Bugs vs Tanks as some silly little downloadable oddity, that I should put politics aside and just focus on the game play. I mean, inherent ideology aside, what you've got here is essentially Earth Defense Force-lite, but shrunk down to its basic components so that it fits on the 3DS — and God knows I love EDF.

Nearly every aspect of the game is flawed in some way, rendering the final product essentially unplayable.

If you don’t mind the style and feel of RPGs of days gone by, but with a unique twist thanks to the touch screen options, then Tao’s Adventure will happily fill the empty void in your DS library when it comes to genre.

Lets you blast up dinosaurs, but its attempt to mix full control of the character plus fast-paced shooting ends up less than average.

If they keep working on it and patching some of the bigger problems, I can see Starlight Inception becoming a genuinely good game. If they don't, though..well, then you'll probably want to go away from it at warp speed.

A boring game with uninspired gameplay, mediocre graphics, stupid controls, and a community that resembles a junior high homeroom. Congratulations R.Y.L.

Really, it’s just worth playing if you want a love letter to late 2000s action games – or, I guess, if you want a time capsule from the same era that never saw the light of day due to a confluence of crazy factors. Either way, if that applies to your very specific gaming interests (and, weirdly, it does mine), then Captain Blood is a game you need to play.

Ford Street Racing looks like a AAA game, has the features of a AAA game, but plays like a budget title that doesn't know its audience. With a little more time put into AI and physics, Ford Street Racing could easily be a game worth $30-$40.

In short, I would not recommend Sonic Adventure to any of my friends, acquaintances, co-workers, enemies or anyone else.

The game falls not only short of expectation, but also below what this great team is capable of.

There's so much about this game that falls flat, and so much that feels like a quick cash-in attempt using the band name attached, that I can't suggest picking this up, certainly not at a full price point.

Yoostar 2 could be a barrel of laughs and really is if you have the means and gathering of friends and social buddies to enjoy it, but keep in mind all isn't glamorous in this Hollywood setting. If you have all the right components, Yoostar 2 could be the "Rock Band" of the actor's guild. For the rest of us, it may be more worth it to rent or watch a movie in its entirety.

Drab and uninspired.

The game, unfortunately, can be played with just a couple of basic moves since the AI is so poor.

Really, whether you should spend your money on this game comes down to whether you have $5 or so burning a hole in your pocket, how much you want to play a Mega Man clone, and if you feel like spending 30 minutes or so on an easy Platinum. If your answers to those questions are yes, very much, and yes, then Clash Force might just be worth checking out.

It’s too bad that the gameplay is so poor, because in the right hands Picklock could have been fun — albeit for a very short amount of time, given there are only about a dozen levels here. It’s got a decent sense of humour, as evidenced by the visual gags you’ll find here and there. It’s also got a fun voxel-art style, and an enjoyably jazzy soundtrack. Games are a lot more than their aesthetics, obviously, but fun graphics and music can go a long way towards making them worthwhile. Not in Picklock’s case though. It doesn’t matter if it looks and sounds this good when it also plays this poorly.

There’s a lot of this stuff that will just never make it to platforms like Virtual Console, so I’m happy to see someone out there doing the work to try and put these releases together despite the quality of original games. It also helps that nothing appears to have been mucked up along the way, each of these titles plays exactly as I remember, which is definitely the key when going back and doing these retro collections. So if you’re like me, and have any fond memories of these games growing up as a kid in the 90’s, then I’d say Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection is certainly worth a look.

A decent home console version.

So once again, this fledgling series fails to impress, and while I get the idea behind the game and the mechanics that it's going for, it just feels like a lot of the elements are unnecessary and a bit too archaic for my tastes.

If you want COD on the Switch, this definitely isn’t that. If, however, you want something that’s fun in short bursts and allows you to blast away at bad guys, then Modern Combat Blackout will scratch that itch.

All together, Legendary had a decent idea behind it that's been marred by some poor design decisions. Shooting and controls feel ok, but everything you shoot at, interact with, or run through is lackluster, broken, or just plain boring.
