Sports Bar VR is fun for the price. It's super cheap and most of the games work ok. The biggest annoyances come from moving around the bar, and re-positioning yourself to better play the game.

With more polish and character balancing, Midway could have crafted one of the best pick up and play fighters in existence – but combo timing issues hurt the overall score and that’s a shame.

It certainly is not going to revolutionize the way we play platforming games, but it is definitely an enjoyable, great looking title that is worth checking out.

Slight edge might be given to the Xbox because of its superior dual analog sticks, but the GCN yellow c-stick isn’t too troublesome.

A Hero’s Tail isn’t a revolutionary game. It’s not bad, either. It’s just very simple. It seems just simple enough, in fact, for children who are at least learning to read and have the motor skills to follow relatively easy control instructions.

While it’s a good experience overall, it will have trouble hooking players for the long haul in its current state. Personally, I enjoyed most of my time with TERA and I do suggest checking it out since it really won’t cost you anything. It’s a true free to play MMORPG with some great action packed combat. Give it a try, there’s really nothing to lose.

Full Auto isn't quite the Xbox 360 showpiece as expected originally, but it has a certain addictive quality to it that sets it apart from your typical arcade racing game.

I imagine that if you have fond memories of the Amiga game, playing this remade version will feel like checking in on an old friend after a few decades apart. If you don't have that nostalgia, though…let's just say you'll wonder what all the fuss was about.

Overall NHL 2K7's new features are a lot subtler than "NHL 07's." In a lot of ways 2K7 is what I had hoped 2K6 for the 360 would have been.

It looks nice enough, I suppose, but not to the point where I'd say you must own it just because of the graphics. If you're looking for something that will help you pass the time in a bland, mostly inoffensive way, then this is the game for you, I guess, but otherwise, don't bother.

Speaking of the A.I., this is where my biggest gripe with the game lies...The control is overall a bit slippery at times, even when using a 4WD car with a high Handling rating. That is a bad combo usually, and drove me crazy on several opportunities.

As I said, if you have an emotional connection to the era, 198X may be exactly what you need in your life. But if you don’t pine for the ‘80s and arcades as a stand-in for your lost youth, then 198X probably isn’t something you need to play.

I urge each and every one of you to get at least a keyboard before doing so. You'll save yourself a whole mess of frustration if you do.

A credible first effort, but it’s not enough to knock off NBA Street from its throne, gambling options aside.

Obviously, “pretty doable” isn’t exactly glowing praise – nor does a game with such a lousy camera deserve glowing praise. But Isle of Jura Fishing Trip is still decent enough if you just feel like fishing, assuming you get it at the right price.

Obviously, there are dangers in leaning into being weird — not only can it be alienating, lots of games aren’t half as strange as they like to think they are. But Scrap Garden has a deeply oddball heart beating at its core, and it’s too bad that the game mostly ignores that in favour of its dull, competent respectability.

Robotech Invasion is about the fight against the Invid, and that puts the game in competition with every other futuristic shooter instead of playing to the strengths of the series: big robots that switch into planes and fire scores of side winding missiles.

What can’t be fixed are the statistical glitches that really keep the game from being fun. Things such as shortstops getting saves, games not counting, etc. are commonplace. There is nothing more frustrating than having a good baseball game with a terrible stat bug.

The story isn't all that noteworthy, especially given the amount of cinematics the player is forced to sit through, but it gets the job done. And sure, the battle system is fun, but as the game develops, it grows more annoying, frustrating, and tedious, requiring a fair amount of dedication and patience to work through.

One Piece devotees, after all, are the target audience for a One Piece game, so it seems fair to have some expectation that if you're buying the game, you'll know what you're getting into.

The heart of Kessen 3 lies in repetition; in mission layouts, in the simple combo execution, and in the cutscenes and music.

There isn't enough variety to keep players enthralled - it's essentially the same game over and over. But what is there works beautifully and is a great example of a game that’s accessible to anybody without sacrificing fun for all.

But just because a game is fuelled by good intentions doesn't mean that you have to play it — and personally, considering how readily available these traumatic stories are in real life, I'd much rather play games that act as a safe space away from it all.

It’s a fairly forgettable sequel to a game that, really, wasn’t all that interesting in the first place. It won’t crash your Vita, and I assume that means that your PC or PS4 would be safe as well, but that’s pretty much the highest compliment I can pay the game.
