  1. The gameplay is inviting, the characters are charming, and the challenge level is just right, while the inclusion of a strong female character directs the game toward all age and gender groups.
  2. It offers breadth, scope, and a quality graphical presentation and level design. The game offers plenty of challenges, tempting the more avid gamer into raising their ratings even after completing the fields to fulfill their quests.

It admittedly feels a bit unbalanced in a handful of places, but overall it's a well laid-out package.

Unfortunately for its publishers, there are a few great platform games out for the GBA. "Castlevania: Circle of the Moon," "Rayman Advance," and "Klonoa: Empire of Dreams" are superior games that offer a more complete package.
  5. Whatever the reasons, Lady Sia is able to remain enjoyable for at least half the time it takes to complete its quest, which is more than can be said of the majority of the new titles out this winter.
  6. It certainly is not going to revolutionize the way we play platforming games, but it is definitely an enjoyable, great looking title that is worth checking out.

The gameplay feels very unfinished. [Oct 2001, p.158]

Expand

It's fun for a while but it has no replay value.

Initially, the game is very enjoyable (albeit not very challenging), but quickly becomes virtually unplayable by about the 4th level. TheInitially, the game is very enjoyable (albeit not very challenging), but quickly becomes virtually unplayable by about the 4th level. The gameplay is terribly clunky and, along with the level design, frequently and actively works against the player, forcing them into cheap deaths and damage via unresponsive controls and poor overall design. Lady Sia, to me, suffers from a strong misunderstanding of the difference between well-balanced and intentionally implemented challenge, and rough, frustrating difficulty due to unpolished and flawed design.
