The "crash and bang" gameplay translates well to 5-on-5 gameplay, and with the rules turned off and the addition of online play, provides a great arcade-style alternative to the ESPN and EA series.

In a lot of ways, Swords & Soldiers is like any other satisfying RTS game... just bite-sized.

I’m not saying it’s not worth a buy, mind you. As someone who’s become thoroughly addicted to every game Lightwood have put out in the last couple of years, I’m going to faithfully plow through Tic-Tac-Letters, just like I did for the likes of Wordsweeper and One Word. But I will say that unless you share in my unhealthy obsession, you’re probably safe to skip this one.

If you wanted tough strategy, you wouldn’t be playing a game that can be easily completed in, as its name suggests, less than ten minutes. Eight-Minute Empire most definitely won’t challenge you too much, but as board games on the Switch go, it’s definitely among the most easily-accessible.

If you're a Vita completist like me, of course, it's well worth the investment, since it's enjoyable enough to be worthwhile, but otherwise, I'd suggest proceeding with no small degree of caution.

A very fun and gritty game with lots of charm to boot.

It's no Dead Island, but it's on par with other zombie survival games and can provide you with a nice challenge.

Once you have a few upgrades earned, the game becomes fun in quite a hurry.

A solid game that unfortunately doesn't quite live up its PC counterpart.

I can only strongly recommend this to a particular group of people. Fans of horror, fans of relentless shooters, and those who have a fantastic PC. The rest of the crowd will leave underwhelmed.

It's a marked improvement over the original Sims port, and "Urbz: Sims in the City," and you might find it to be right up your alley.

It’s a solid adventure game, to be sure, but given how many other adventure games are out there on every single platform, you need to be more than solid to stand out — and Sumatra: Fate of Yandi is missing that extra oomph that would put it over the edge.

For all its flaws, I don’t think I’ve ever played a game that left my mouth watering and my stomach growling, yet that’s precisely how I’m feeling after finishing this one. If that was Strawberry Vinegar’s aim — and given all the shots of food, I have to think it was — then it’s done everything it set out to do.

It’s not sim enough to match up with Sega’s offering, and Midway has a faster, more fun arcade hockey game in NHL Hitz.

Allow yourself to be taken in by the bright colours and easy controls and silly story, and the steep difficulty might turn you off it entirely. Recognize, however, that those are simply fun additions to what amounts to a challenging RPG, however, and the dissonance might not be so bad.

To anyone who’s ever thought they could put together a masterful dungeon, or those who want a simple action-RPG where they’re in control of the level, Dungeon Maker mixes both together quite well.

While it lacks innovation and gameplay variety, it has fantastic graphics, solid track designs, Xbox Live support and a budget price.

The main campaign is short on the standard difficulty, but it can become a frustrating experience on the Ultra mode unless you've got a buddy to help you out.

It's fun enough for most adults to enjoy (admittedly in limited doses) and simple enough for most kids to grasp. The opportunity for interaction among family or friends makes Shrek 2 more than the sum of its parts.

The difficulty is perfect for the younger crowd, but late teens on up won't find much more than a 6-hour romp here.

I appreciate the realization of scale in the game, and the overall fun you get out of just blowing things away with the different weapons you can toy around with. I'm not sure if there's been enough improvements here to appease fans, but as a player that hasn't been immersed in the Armored Core universe for a bit, I had a pretty good time.

The battle system is a refreshing twist on something that has been done for the same way for many past RPGs, and diving into your Reyvateil makes for reasonable character development.

Overall the Grandia HD Collection is a good one, and if you enjoyed the original game, this is a great version of the release. Grandia II by comparison didn’t get much in terms of upgrades aside from the Japanese voice acting, so it pulls down the overall package somewhat.

It's a decent first person shooter with many multiplayer options, lots of gore and several flaws. None of those flaws make the game unplayable, they just keep it from standing head and shoulders above other, similar games.

And behind the fairly generic title is... a fairly generic, though solid, dance experience for those with a PS3, a PS Move and the urge to dance.
