It has it's fair share of problems, sure, but I think if you're willing to put some time into you can come up with some interesting things from the title.

On one hand, there's a strong narrative featuring beautiful cinematics and atmospheric music to set the mood perfectly. On the other, you have clunky on-foot controls combined with frustrating gameplay.

It’s that disconnect between idea and execution that makes BigFest such a frustrating game to play. Almost every step of the way, you can see what the developers were trying to do — but you can also see where they fell short. If that gap didn’t exist, there’s a good chance this game would be worth playing…but it does exist, which means that you can probably skip it.

Personally, I’m here for the open world, story building and pure action when I turn on Far Cry. I commend Ubisoft for going in a vastly different direction and the visuals give me mixed feels reminiscent of Blood Dragon, Trials Fusion and Future elements from the Assassin’s Creed franchise. It’s not bad in any way, just not for me. I think fans of rougelike games may enjoy this via discovery like I did with Blood Dragon. It’s not Far Cry in spirit but it follows a similar trend of out of the box DLC for the Far Cry series.

At first I wasn’t enjoying it too much due to the very sensitive controls, but give it a half an hour and I think most gamers will acclimate to the remote very easily.

It's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but for good old fashioned blasting fun with some friends or on your own, it's hard to beat. I'm lovin' it.

The ease of play, with the challenge of a good A.I. creates the perfect balance that not only makes for a realistic competition, but an enjoyable one as well.

Contrast may be great to look at, but when it comes down to it, what really matters is whether it can accomplish the fundamental task of keeping things moving forward without breaking down very often. And on that front, to be brutally honest, it fails, making it worth a download if you have PS+, but probably not much more than that.

A reasonably deep and engaging experience that will please both advocates of "Diablo"-style hack-and-slash as well as fans of the anime series. There's a lot of solid gameplay lurking below the lustreless exterior.

Though I'm not particularly thrilled with the accomplishment-based method of unlocking songs, it's more of a minor annoyance than something that breaks the game.

To do all that Farm Manager 2022 has to offer, you need to be willing to put up with some atrocious controls, and you need to be interested in putting in a lot of very detailed work. It’s certainly not to my tastes – give me the zen pleasures of the Farming Simulator series any day – but if it’s a management sim you’re after, you’ll find plenty to sink your teeth into here.

The lack of proper online play is a downer, and in spite of the difficulty, the game could have been a bit longer "out of the box". But overall, the game is an intense shooter with a gritty, cohesive sense of style and direction, and I can't see many fans of the genre being disappointed with it.

Casual gamers will cling to the ease of pick up and play, and hardcore gamers will love the customization options. There is enough to please everyone, but don't expect to be wowed by anything new or revolutionary.

"Freemium” games are a scourge of mobile gaming, and seeing it come to the Switch in such an aggressive way feels just as icky here as it does on your mobile device. There’s undeniably a lot to do here, but be ready to shell out some real money if you want to get the full Asphalt experience.

Pile Up! screams “family-friendly”, so if you’re looking to pick up a game to play with some younger kids and want to stretch the experience out, you can certainly do so here. For anyone else, though, Pile Up! is probably a game you can safely overlook. No matter how cute it may be, it’s not exactly fun to play, and at the end of the day, that’s the most important thing.

Taken on its own terms, Stitchy in Tooki Trouble is perfectly fine, but when you factor in that you could just play the game(s) that have influenced everything about it, it’s hard to wonder why you’d play this over the original.

As I said up top, the combat flows pretty smoothly, and — apart from those dull-looking enemies — the visuals here pop off the screen. I really want to love this game…but, as it stands, there’s just not enough going on for it to be than a very brief infatuation.

When Lonely Mountains: Downhill works, it works pretty well. It’s far from perfect, but if you want a game that captures the zen of cycling, it mostly does a decent job of that.

While this game is a little rough around the edges, what do you expect from an XBLA/PSN RPG game? If you like turn based, strategy type games and can overlook cartoony graphics, I suggest you pick this game up.

All in all Madden NFL 21 is a major case of deja vu. Is it bad? Not in the least. Is Madden NFL 21 a great advancement in football simulation that some might be looking for? Not in the least as well. The hope for me is that the next gen versions (which is included with the purchase of this years’ release for current gen versions) will be a significant upgrade and not just a higher res version with faster loading times. So this is one of the more difficult scores I’ve had to give a sports title. On one hand you get to versions of Madden NFL 21 (current gen/next gen) and it’s a great football release. On the other hand if you play/buy Madden every year I find it hard to fully endorse buying this year’s release based on just how similar it is to Madden 20.

The core of Golazo!’s gameplay is fine, It plays like a soccer game from the 16bit era. However in making it accessible, the team at Purple Tree omitted a little too much. The game is certainly worth a fun afternoon jaunt with some friends, but it’s not exactly going to be training the next wave of digital footballers.
