Mirror's Edge does a wonderful job of doing exactly what it sets out to do, and while it may not do it all perfectly, it does do enough well enough for you to forgive the game's flaws.

Overall, Armored Core V is definitely a game worth checking out, especially if you have any love for mech themed video games. Again, it's remarkably more similar to Chromehounds than the last couple Armored Core games on consoles, but there's enough of an Armored Core element here that it won't completely turn away loyal fans of the series.

Scurge lasts long enough and provides a strong challenge to suit any Metroid fan or gamer looking for a good action title. Although its frustrations lie within some game design, and then translate through hardware (such as the D-pad), it's still very playable and very fun.

Grandia II still stands out as a fantastic RPG...[though] the graphics took a punch in the teeth in the translation.

It’s not as if the original game was all that stunning or anything, but there are plenty of moments here where Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered just looks blurry and kind of ugly. That’s not enough to make me not recommend it, though. In fact, I’m almost certainly going to go out and buy myself a copy of the game on the Switch, just so I can have it with me at home and on the go. Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is likely only going to appeal to people who have some nostalgia for the movies — but if you have that nostalgia, it’s practically a must-play.

This was the 4th time I’ve played Arkham Asylum and it still holds up. I’m not crazy about the $50 price point for two last gen games with no new features, but that’s a slight nitpick.

Obviously, if Mini Motorways is actually intended to be a subtle critique of how dystopian car-centred cities are, then it absolutely succeeds at that beyond any shadow of a doubt. More likely, though, Mini Motorways is simply an attempt to apply the Mini Metro formula to roads instead of subways. While it hits some of the same notes – and it would undoubtedly be much easier to embrace if it didn’t have such an insanely great predecessor to live up to – it’s simply not quite as good. That still means it’s better made than most other puzzle games, but if you’re hoping for the next Mini Metro, Mini Motorways isn’t quite it.

All together, this is a much better Transformers game than the previous movie tie-in, and probably the best Transformers title I've played on a console to date.

The controls are solid, there's a great roster present, and the inclusion of Kratos is a great fit here.

I, like many others, get tired of the same old weapons and the same old shooting sequences with the only delta being changing environments.

Oceanhorn 2 wears its influences pretty clearly on its sleeve, and it does so in a way that doesn’t always do it any favours, but if you can ignore that and accept it on its own terms, you’ll find a game that’s pretty enjoyable in its own right.

Fans of the series will applaud this, but most who have already seen "Bust-A-Move" a dozen other times won't find much new to keep them amused.

Overall, for $19.99, it’s a bargain to play a solid entry in the Resident Evil series in HD with a solid framerate. As of this release, we now have most of the major Resident Evil titles to be released on one platform. At this point, I would even take a Remastered or Remade Re: Outbreak, which was a game well ahead of its time.

On the plus side of the ledger, it has a lot of great ideas and a pretty decent sense of humour. Those positives, however, are counterbalanced with a hideous colour scheme and a feeling of repetition that creeps in unfortunately quickly.

Cursed to Golf is designed to challenge you, frustrate you, and punish you – and even if real golf does that, this game takes it to a whole other level. If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t usually give sports games a second glance but loves difficulty ramped up to an insane degree, this should be the one sports game you make an exception for.

My issues with the game lie within the fact that whilst playing it, I wished I were playing something else. I wanted to play Bioshock for its heavy atmosphere and compelling story, or Mass Effect because I finally appreciate the dialog trees and voice acting. In Fallout 3, most of my decisions could be argued for the inconsequential feeling I associated with them. That's never a good thing, so it either means Fallout 3 wasn't my particular cup of tea or that it is actually that boring at times.

If you can get a handle on the control of your minions, and pick up on the strategy needed to defeat some of the later bosses, you should have quite a bit of fun with this quirky fantasy title.

If ever there was a short puzzle game worth the price, it’d be The Room. It packs a lot of content into its relatively brief playing time, and — assuming you aren’t stymied by a system that doesn’t recognize your fingers — it does so with tonnes of style.

I’d say pretty much the same thing about the game now that it’s on the Switch as I did back when it came out on PS4: if you’re into slightly janky detective games, you’re going to love The Sinking City (and as someone who does love those games, I mean that with all the affection in the world).

While the overall feel of Max: The Curse of Brotherhood might be a bit uneven, it’s well worth checking out for the moments that work.

If you stepped away from Aliens: Fireteam Elite after launch, I’m not sure that the Pathogen expansion brings enough to the table to bring you back, but I can’t really argue that the $14.99 price point seems pretty fair considering all the extra stuff that comes along with the new, albeit short, story content. The new class perks are fun to play around with, giving you unique modifiers for your main special skill, most of which really boosts up your power level when paired with the right modifications. I certainly had some fun revisiting the game, and if you’ve been playing the game a fair amount up to this point, I can’t really see a reason not to pick up the DLC. Just temper your expectations when it comes to the new story missions and boss fight, which won’t blow you away in comparison to the main campaign.

Devil Kings is a beat-em up romp of wanton destruction more than anything else, and it's a very good one.

This is a no brainer for gamers over 25 who remember a better time, as well as the others who may not get what us geezers have been talking about all this time when we say, "Back in my day, my RPG titles were full of substance with wonderful hand drawn art."

Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom is just a solidly competent 3D platformer that doesn't aspire to be a lot more than it is.

The story is weak, boss fights are hard, but the action is extremely enjoyable and in a game where the main focus is the action, which is all that counts.

It isn’t one of my favorite Resident Evil titles, but it’s definitely better than any Resident Evil title to come out since 4 (Sorry Revelations fanboys) and is one of the last true survival horror games that we’ve got from Capcom.

In short, if you are a hard core online RDR PVP, or gang vs. gang, player then you will want to pick the Legends and Killers Pack up.

Fun though that may be, it won't take long until you're craving more, and unless you're a hardcore fan, Battle of Z doesn't have that to offer.
