A great simulation racer that does almost everything well. The Racing Life mode is too short and the rally racing can be unforgiving. But the pressure sensitive gameplay, realistic AI, and event challenges round out a great race package that’s tough to pass.- Gaming Age

I wouldn’t want to suggest that anyone other than adventure game fans will want to check it out: it’s relatively easy and short, but it’s still of the walk here, pick up X, combine X with Y school of gameplay. Still, if you’re a fan of the genre and want to see how long Double Fine have been cranking out the classics, this game is well worth checking out.- Gaming Age

Despite the technical hiccups, Afterparty is certainly worth your time. I don’t see much of a reason to pick up the Switch version over the previous releases necessarily, but it at least seems on par with other consoles. Gain Ground is also one of those games people either love or hate even back in the day. And if I’m being honest it hasn’t aged well but my nostalgia allows me to enjoy it, so while $8 isn’t a big investment I also can’t recommend it to everyone. Why this is in the AGES line might just be for M2 to show off the vertical mode and join the ranks of only a few games which take advantage of this on the Switch because otherwise it’s more of a very well ported historical piece. Will I spend more time with it? Probably not after I put my big screen TV back in an upright position.- Gaming Age

Overall if you’re looking for more Spider-Man, The Heist is a great beginning to the DLC storyline that will continue over the next two months. It’s critical that you know that you are playing DLC one of three when you play The Heist because it leaves you with a bit of a cliffhanger and it’s not a self contained story, as some might have expected. With the arrival of Red Dead Redemption 2, it’s going to be tough to escape the old west to finish out this story, but Spidey’s latest leaves you wondering where they will go next and what trouble New York is in for.- Gaming Age

Graphics and gameplay probably don't get much better in a 2D game than they are in Viewtiful Joe2. The faint of heart might long for a few more difficulty options, as the action can get hairy in a hurry. But this is still a fun, challenging game that's extremely easy on the eyes.- Gaming Age

So while the game certainly isn't the perfect MMO, it definitely gets enough elements right that it warrants your attention. Spheroids is saved by that very first adjective I used to describe it: unassuming. If it were pretentious in any way, I could see how crashes and glitches could make the game unbearable. However, in this case, it kind of adds to the game's low-key charm. That doesn't excuse those issues, of course, and you'll want to temper your expectations if you play it, but all in all, Spheroids is enjoyable enough that it can make you overlook the odd crash here and there.- Gaming Age

Maybe I just had lowered expectations because my initial experience was so bad, but it was fun to play a platformer in which constant death wasn’t a given, but rather a side effect of choosing to take the more difficult route. Couple that with a retro vibe that’s spot on, and you can see why Daggerhood is a solid choice for anyone in the mood to play an old-school platformer that doesn’t seem to want to punish you just for playing it.- Gaming Age

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the definitive LEGO Star Wars experience. It’s the only game that contains all nine of the main films in LEGO format and it will also include some content from Rouge One, Solo, The Mandalorian, and The Bad Batch via DLC. The iconic LEGO game humor is everywhere. The destruction of all LEGO items in an area does get a little repetitive after a while, however, the collectables will keep you playing for hours on end. Andro Dunos 2 is a perfect example of how to make a true sequel to a classic game. It looks and plays the original, all the while showing off something new. It’s a different take on Dead Rising than most would expect, but works better than you would think. It may get stale after a while, with only four cases to choose from. ININ has done a fine job bringing these classics together. Even if the complete package offers nothing new outside of a game selection screen, these are all still pretty fun games. As before, 7 out of 10 games in this collection can be downloaded from from the eShop under the “Arcade Archives” line of games. Solitary Fighter, Darius II and Dinorex are Exclusive to this collection, but if those titles don’t appeal to you, then you aren’t missing anything by skipping this release.
