While the game is not perfect it is a far sight better than previous iterations. Years ago there was a MVP baseball game on the PC that was top-drawer (IMO) and MLB 10 rivals, if not exceeds, that. Top to bottom, this is an entertaining game to look at and play.

With a unique and interesting story, mind-blowing graphics, incredible soundtrack, great gameplay and FIVE endings, it’s hard to find fault with Silent Hill 2.

Sure, the hang-ups from last year could've used some improvement, and a few tweaks to the other modes (outside of Ultimate Team) would've really pushed this into perfect score territory. That said, it's still a hockey-fest you shouldn't miss.

Being able to play them again, without plopping down pounds of quarters and inhaling ozone all night, is fabulous. I hope they keep coming.

The graphical facelift has really pulled this game up to the next level, but Mythic was not satisfied to end it there. Instead it added new races, and new zones while expanding the mythology of the game as well.

If you have a semi-firm grasp on reality, don't mind the machinations of evil tugging at your own sanity factor, then you will enjoy this puzzle-riddled romp.

Provides challenge and entertainment. It looks different than other next-gen Tony Hawk titles, but that fits the style and charm of the game.

Bioshock 2 is an atmospheric, immersive game that does more than just hold a candle to its beloved predecessor. The campaign is engaging, the multiplayer is great, and the new gameplay elements are excellent.

The developers did a fantastic job of utilizing a still great quake 3 Arena engine and GHOUL II technology that provides ultra realistic damage modeling.

It’s almost a new game in terms of the amount of content, but it’s also the same game in terms of gameplay experience and sheer fun.

Despite its change in perspective, Ghost Recon 2 remains to be a solid action-packed shooter that will make you proud you own a Xbox.

The controls are handled nicely enough and the tracks are designed well enough. Too bad the Career mode is over a bit too quickly.

Combat Arms is fun. Simple as that. If you can overlook the annoying players, then anyone looking for a competitive online shooter should look no further. This is free to play FPS at its best.

It is not as realistic as some of the new W.W.II FPS games that are coming out right now, but they don't have the shear intense fun factor that SS,TSE has. I had a blast with this game.

Sure, it’s an arcade-style game, but you will invest time with the career mode and the gameplay is fluid and fun, the graphics are wonderfully realized and the control scheme is easy to understand.

EA did a great job on this game capturing all of the looks and voices of the characters from the film and books, and a superb job capturing the environments that look almost identical, even if a tad scaled down, to the film.

One of those rare treats that ignores the hype to bring us a truly entertaining adventure game that immerses players into its detailed world. It is a fresh and inventive game that, much like its main protagonist, is outright charming.

Resistance: Retribution is a great action title for the PSP, offering up a robust feature set, excellent graphics and solid controls.

The challenges are now more plentiful, innovative and complex than ever before.

Actually the only deterrents to partying all the time are comfort points, energy levels, work schedules and NPC Sims that sometimes don’t like to be called late at night.

Although House of the Dead has been done before, and Pinball has been done before, SEGA and THQ did a great job of mixing the two together and making a fun and unique title with plenty of challenge and replayability.

The mini-missions do disrupt the flow of the game's interesting but short story, but it's an enjoyable distraction regardless of how repetitive they become.

Who would have thought a 2D side-scrolling fighter could look this amazing on a next-gen system. Well, obviously ARC did and they delivered with the heir apparent to the Guilty Gear franchise.

The gameplay is what you would expect, with a well-designed AI ensuring that there is plenty of challenge.

While the graphics are not as superior as it was with "NBA 2K3" or the controls as super smooth as "NBA Live 2003," the game is still a shining example of how a college basketball game should be made.

Visually stunning. But more than that, this is game that will challenge cerebrally in a way few RTS games have in the past.

There are some drawbacks to portions of the sound and the swordplay segments can be a little redundant, but this game does have diversity and entertaining elements that draw one past the minor stumbles.

A terrific game. It does have a few flinches along the line of scrimmage, but once the ball is snapped, this game executes extremely well.

A hockey game at its most realistic, therefore making for a game that’s both fast-paced and hard-hitting...just the way we hockey fans love our hockey.

While not stunningly different, the new combat system, improved controls, and unique pacing in the game make this one fresh and involving.

Pure chaos at it's finest. The non-linear structure of the missions ensures that you can tear around the city all you want without having to settle down and take a mission, and the cool new moves at your disposal are a lot of fun to perform.

A handheld tactical RPG that is visually wonderful and does a great job in terms of gameplay. Give Level 5 credit for taking some of the best elements of the genre, combining them with a few new ideas and dropping them into a solid gaming backdrop.

This game is absolutely not for everybody. Most gamers brought up on the cushy, forgiving action games of the last decade will probably feel like somebody slapped them in the face the first time they play it. But for the right sort of person, that slap in the face is exactly what they’ve been craving. Contra 4 presents some of the best, most hardcore run-and-gun shooting action on the DS, and is a breath of fresh, alien-blood-scented air for the system, and gaming in general.

Puzzle fans, even those who are skeptical, shouldn't hesitate to make this their next PSP game.

The game does have some linear aspects and is mission-based, but this is a smart game that draws players into the storyline and backs the content angle up with solid graphics, smart AI and great audio tracks.

Faster gameplay, bigger maps, more units, and a new race? Did I miss anything?

The online interface is a little cumbersome, and the game does have some load times. Get past that and you will be treated to a wonderful hockey experience that sparkles with smart AI, terrific control schemes and great action.

Solid multiplayer support, great skill animations, smart AI and improved physics all add up to a game that is a marked improvement over the last iteration.

Probably one of the most realistic army simulation/FPS on the market.

City of Villains has a detailed world with rich stories, wonderful plot lines, engaging game play, and all the makings of a successful MMO.

Feels like a successor to "Aggressive Inline" in that it does many new things, but still has a classic extreme sports feel.

A remarkably innovative title in design and concept.

Hotel Dusk is one of those games that should be used as Exhibit A in the discussion of games legitimacy as a storytelling medium, or even as art. A brilliant art and graphical style, innovative use of the DS’s features, and one of the best noir stories to be told recently in any medium add up to a must-play.

3rd person shooter done right. James Bond has all the moves and weaponry you will ever need.

The game explains a lot about what fans may not see in the upcoming movie, and while this is a departure from the previous squad-based titles, it is still a wonderful and enjoyable bit of fun.

Sure, the twitchy graphical glitches can catch your eye and yes the load times will feel like an eternity but with solid controls, an amazing variety of game modes and PSP-only extras, this one wins the championship title.

The game’s biggest boon is the great destruction engine, which is not only technically impressive, but adds some great new elements to the gameplay. The missions are also very meaty and go on for a good long while, never letting up on the intensity level.

Sure, it's got the gorgeous looks of a supermodel, and enough cool effects to keep your eyes entertained for hours. But underneath all that makeup is a deep, less-realistic simulation racer that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat.

Lost Planet is a great game with action-packed gameplay and a nice cinematic feel to it. Even though the single-player mode is a little on the short side, the great multiplayer elements are enough for the price of admission.

Resident Evil 5 lands on the PS3 with a new focus on action and co-op gameplay.

It's a game that's so feature-rich, so extremely customizable, and so realistic that I'd recommend this one even if you're not a football buff.

The interface makes the gameplay a pleasure, with its easy controls and menus. The only drawback to the gameplay is the lack of more than one save game slot, which means only one person can play each game cartridge.
