Ultimately, this game has its merit, as it makes for a decent story and some entertaining psychic powers, but poor gameplay makes for an extremely frustrating game, until you're pretty far along.

The game is extremely fun to play, I just don’t know how many times a person can try to destroy or protect the generator shields on Hoth before growing bored.

Despite the occasional glitch and lack of online play, Def Jam: Fight for New York is an excellent fighter that manages to revive a dying genre without needing to recreate it.

For all Warhammer 40,000 fans, you'll find a sumptuous, satisfying look at the age of war, with units that are both familiar and completely faithful, including the impressive Avatar of Khaine. Those of us that are RTS fans will find a game that has some deep gameplay elements, furious action, and absolutely gorgeous art design.

To say the least, this was an exhilarating feeling. Even with its slow, lumbering bulk, it was truly satisfying to pilot my favorite of all childhood sci-fi vehicles.

Has it where it counts, however, as it offers a really good looking version of the anime characters. Additionally, it plays out cutscenes in the game engine that looks almost as good as most modern anime.

This is a much more robust, mature and complex game than the original – leaving you with the impression that this is Will Wrights dream finally realized.

The good news is that although it does require more patience than most games, you at least are rewarded with stellar visual effects that make it worth your while.

It’s all been done expertly, with huge, sprawling worlds that offer up a bevy of unique and engaging missions.

With a plethora of additions, oodles of tweaks and plenty of game balancing, this is a must have expansion packs and likely one of the best to come along in years.

With dazzling 2D graphics that are rife with detail and a heavy metal soundtrack that will undoubtedly incite you to throw up the metal horns, it's hard to not like Guilty Gear X2 #Reload.

The best news yet, however, is that EverQuest: Omens of War doesn’t use the flagging/trial system that has been so prevalent in the last few expansions. Much to the delight of just about everybody, most zones are accessible right off the bat and should make both raiding and grouping a less frustrating experience.

Conflict Vietnam is both the best among the conflict games and one of the best among the Vietnam shooters today. That isn’t to say it’s a superb game, but it has its moments and can make for a pretty intense ride at times.

A fun romp through a film that many of us love, giving gamers a chance to take on the role of a seminal bad guy turned good guy in a game that isn't bad, but isn't great either.

If you’re looking for lots of new, flashy graphics or big updates to the original AO, this expansion might be a big disappointment. But for my money, Anarchy Online: Alien Invasion is an excellent addition to the Anarchy Online multiverse.

While you can expect that an Street Fighter Anniversary Collection would have only remakes of original titles, you would hope there would be some history included – something this game is sorely missing.

While I think it was a good idea to make you work a bit before you get the full peep show, the way you unlock the unobscured view ends up more blind luck than skill. There is a 50/50 chance that the drunk chick will know that a Granny Smith is an apple but your flash meter depends on guessing correctly.

A passable game, but take away the hardly seen women and vast supply of real world car equipment and you are left with a sub-par racer.

Online play, I might mention, is excellent. Though currently sparsely populated, Wings of War servers tend to draw dogfight specialists, so your chances of getting more skilled when fighting online is very good.

The wrestlers themselves are strikingly similar to their real life counterparts, with both smooth animations and details. However, the audio is probably the game's low point.

An intriguing game to behold, making it almost as fun to watch and listen to as it is to play. But what makes this game an essential to any true gamers’ library is that it’s cool to its cel-shaded 2D/3D roots.

And if Hot Shots Golf FORE! is anything, it's addictive. With so many unlockables at your disposal, it’s almost guaranteed to suck away hours of your time, especially since the core gameplay is so solid.

Madden NFL 2005 is probably the only game that I think deserves to charge more than it does. It's a game that will give you an entire year of fun in single player, multiplayer, online and off.

The puzzles are generally not going to get you completely stuck and the graphics and audio do a good job of creating the appropriate environment. Bottom line is if you enjoyed Myst, you might want to give Echo Night: Beyond a shot.

A devilishly addictive blend of role playing game and button-bashing fighter. I found the game quite a bit of fun to play, but really didn’t have any nagging urges to return to it once I put it down.
