It's hard to bash Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition: despite the porting being nothing more than a well executed homework, there is some new content that will definitely please the most loyal fans of Dante & C., i.e. three new characters and a new, extremely challenging difficulty level.

Evolve is a good game or a bad game, depending on what you are searching for. There's a lot of potential, partially unexpressed because of the necessity of playing with friends (avoid the strangers!) and the absence of loot and crafting. Give it more than a chance, especially if you have previously played L4D.

An enjoyable, solid and extremely accessible racing game.

Like its little brother Yoshi's New Island on 3DS, Yoshi's Woolly World suffers from being a little too short, easy and somehow forgettable. That being said, this game could easily win the hearts of every Nintendo fan with its above-average level design, the great artistic direction, and its exhilarating cuteness.

OlliOlli 2 is a good old "more of the same", with slight graphical improvements, new tricks and grinds. The resulting gameplay is always fun and more varied, but at the same time much more difficult than the original.

Halo: Spartan Strike is nothing more than a filler in the main saga, but once you acknowledge that, you'll find a pretty good twin-stick shooter, with a good setting and solid gameplay. The multiplayer would have earned it a higher score.

If we had just one word to describe the new Mortal Kombat, that would be "excessive". The violence is always over the top (sometimes even a little bit too much so), and the various game modes and unlockables will keep you busy for quite a long time. A must-have for all the kombatants out there.

Not the best remastered edition of all time, but a fun and satisfying game nonetheless. The DLCs extend the longevity of an already huge (and highly insane) game. Despite the low price, it's not recommended if you already played it on PS3.

DoA 5 Last Round is the right game at the right time, considering how much fans of the genre have been waiting for a good beat-em up on their new console. The reasonably low price and the great amount of content definitely help.

MotoGP is basically an enhanced edition of last year's racing sim by Milestone. The game benefits from the many improvements we already appreciated in Ride, the latest game of the Italian software house, and from a good level of polish. Fun, challenging and rich, it will keep the MotoGP fans busy for a long time.

A cozy atmosphere and an astonishing art direction lay the foundation for a really challenging graphic adventure. A little bit on the short side, but the puzzles are exacting and will keep your brain engaged.

République Remastered is a little gem, especially if you believe that everything around you is a conspiracy. Inspired by legends of the stealth genre such as Metal Gear and Resident Evil, it manages to keep its own identity, and to be a great showcase of the new Unity 5 Engine.

After the problems of the 2015 edition, the Stainless Games series returns to be a catching card game, thanks to the new free to play formula which, fortunately, does not bet everything on the pay per win system.

Pirate Warriors 3 is the best chapter in the One Piece series, technically more than decent and with a huge roster of characters, bound to keep you busy (and happy) for a while.

Hard to recommend DMC: Definitive Edition to everyone who have already played the original title. It's still a great action game, blessed by new 60fps 1080p graphics, and it's definitely a must have for those who missed it two years ago.

Helldivers is a solid twin-stick shooter that will force you to use your brain, not only your pad. Addictive with friends, boring when played alone. Give it a chance: you might be surprised.

Gears of War Ultimate Edition is a good opportunity to play one of the milestones of the TPS genre: Marcus Fenix's all gussied up (new textures, 1080p, 60 fps), the locusts are always eager to be slaughtered, and if you can look past the control system and some gameplay elements that did not age so well, you'll be in for quite a ride.

Ready at Dawn brings out the best-looking title we've ever seen on a PS4 so far. The Order: 1886 delivers a great gameplay experience, wonderful art direction and a compelling storyline that unfortunately ends too abruptly, leaving us wanting for more.

The Old Blood is a solid, fun and challenging shooter, with its distinctive mix between old and new school. Unfortunately, the original The New Order set the bar very high, and this expansion clearly can't keep up.

Little Battlers Experience is the first chapter of a series that we cannot wait to see available the Western market. It doesn't create anything new nor redefines the standard of the RPG genre, but it's a title that definitely deserves your attention.

The first isometric adventure of Lara Croft was an enjoyable game, and this sequel delivers an equal amount of fun, provided that you have some friends to play it with. Otherwise, the game is really short, easy, and not something you'll remember for its technical merit.

Tip of the hat to Frontier for attempting something new and genuinely fun, although not perfect. The main campaign is pretty short, but the real success of ScreamRide will rely on the quality and quantity of content created by the community.

House of Wolves is a DLC that follows the steps of the previous DLC, with some good ideas and some inexplicably stubborn design choices carried forward by Bungie. If you still enjoy playing Destiny, this is an expansion you don't want to miss. If, for some reasons, you skipped The Dark Below, aim for this one instead.

Dark Room starts with a bang, with one of the most intense, soul crushing moments ever lived in a videogame. After that, tedious dialogues take over, together with few trial & error moments and some plot holes. This is probably the worst episode of an otherwise great series. Cannot wait to play the season finale.

Van Helsing III is not a bad game, quite the contrary: the foundation is still solid and fun, but content-wise it seems like a big expansion of the previous installment. There are some new features, especially for classes and multiplayer, but honestly we expected something more.

White Night is a gorgeous, unexpected surprise, crafted by a three-person team. Despite some issues (most notably the camera movement and some frustrating moments), it's a good and original survival horror. Keep a spare pair of underwear at hand.
