House of Wolves makes even more addictive a game that was addictive already, flattening the way for September's expansion. Watch out if you enter the Reef: you may not leave.

It’s not quite perfect, but if the improvements made in House of Wolves are any indication of the future, then I’m eager to see what kind of stuff Bungie comes up with to support and evolve Destiny next.

The new expansion proves to be better than The Dark Below, but still it seems that it could've been even better.

What came out on the market is undoubtedly a DLC of great quality that far exceeds its predecessor and will give the hardcore fans hours of entertainment and rekindle the fire of enthusiasm that went dying.

If you're still playing Destiny on a regular basis, I don't think you'll be disappointed if you pick up House of Wolves. Between the new arena mode and the additional competitive multiplayer content there's a lot to do here and it should keep you busy for some time.

Bungie took a rooster, slicked its hair back, and dressed it up as a human. House of Wolves is the Chicken Boo of video game DLC.

Now before I get jumped on for being biased, please understand I use to logic to justify this consumer review. This game had enormous potential and still does. However, that should not increase or decrease anyone's score. I believe the game looks beautiful and plays extremely well. I do wonder, if we were just running run through parts of the maps we have already been to, then why did this DLC take this long. I have only taken 2 months off from playing this game, and I will say that I had hoped for more upon returning. Now, as of this review I have almost finished the main story line and have a group ready to play the prison of elders (POE) and will be playing the Trials of Osiris (TOO) when that is released. I really want to see more of this beautifully designed world, in the beginning I used to just run around enjoying the world and the attention to detail, now it's only running through a few small new areas. I think that they have shown that a truly full game could potentially give bigger franchises and games a run for there money. The story of both DLC so far, seem like solid side quests in a much larger story arc. I think the new armor and weapons and not mention, the minor changes in the fallen you encounter shows the detail bungie has taken. I think, the fact that they have added in a couple new modes as well as designed a new and interesting social space shows that they are building a world that could deserves a 10/10. However, the mistake in why this game only gets a 8/10 is the fact that bungie has failed to flush out a bigger story at this current point in time, and fails to expand the universe inc contributing to the over all story arch. Destiny, is still an addiction I cannot shake, and a game I still highly recommend if you can accept the fact that bungie is taking there time revealing the whole story. I draw comparisons to the modern warfare series since I beat and enjoyed all those stories. If you remember the story has always been around 5 hours in length, and in the beginning the story was not all that impressive either. I think that this world has far more depth, and if bigger and better things are to come I am excited. Plus, between how great POE and TOO look, and how even the "haters" give credit to how good they are, should make you excited if theres a chance that a raid will be added on top of that. I give this a 8/10 because despite it's faults it delivers another couple hours of great story (although in a familiar place) and a new mode that seems to hit all the right points. Expand

its mediocre at best and all of it content should have been in the game from release on.. PLUS the game , again, fails to deliver the mostits mediocre at best and all of it content should have been in the game from release on.. PLUS the game , again, fails to deliver the most needed story arc and explanation..

once again we get the order to kill targets but no real reason apart from "they killed us, so kill them back" no background and the worst : no Queen interaction.. Destiny is REALLY lacking storytelling and on top social features.. i have no clue why destines "community manager" DeeJ stil claims taht Destiny is a "living social environment" while its clearly not.. since there is no possibility to interact apart from 4 worn out emotes with no meaning.
The best addition to the game is probably the Trials of Osiris PvP content (and thats fro m a non PvP player like me) since there the loot is, for the first time in destiny, working.. if you get to the lighthouse, you can clam your reward with a guaranteed elemental damage primary weapon.. thats one thing thats utterly lacking in Prison of Elders. even if you beat skolas, its still RNG IF you get an elemental primary , not which, that has to be changed since there is absolutely no incision to play this anymore apart from the grimoire card, since the rewards are quite lackluster with horrible useless perks,,

also destiny once again failed to deliver a mean to contact sort, and manage your friends or group, or search for them.. it was still possible to enter every activity in destiny even if you played solo, but with ToO you are doomed to use a third party website or you simply cant start the activity since there is not a simple mean to contact, create or apply for a group in the game.. so much for "play it your way" again bungie forces the player to play it "their" way, which is basically the notorious snowball system to aquire new "friends" for activision and paying customer..

overall, nice addition, should have been free and included in the vanilla game, poe is way to little tempting and the rewards are awefull, ToO needs matchmaking in some form, and the game still lacks any social features, and last but not least there is still absolutely no explanation to the story f destiny and why we are here, where are we from and who are our enemies.. and sadly the taken king looks exactly the same.. seems as if activition wants another "Titanfall" while trying to hold the players..

    0. Only because the people who gave a 10 are completely delusional or high on crack rock.

No raid! Recycled story missions. For example, one mission involved entering the Vault of Glass and killing Oracles in the Templar's Lair. At this point in the game, I was embarrassed I spent $20.00. 1 new strike which is good, no complaints. The new hoard mode or survival mode doesn't feel like survival at all since it's only about 5 rounds / 15 waves. This mode should have gone on forever like MW3 survival or BO zombies. It's not like survival mode at all but just an extended strike. I haven't played the new PvP game but don't want to. @Bungie I bought Destiny for PvE not PvP like a lot of other people. Thanks again for **** us by not including a raid.

Rumor has it, all of DLC content was originally apart of the game and only locked so it can be sold to use as pieces later on as DLC. I believe it now for sure! I also believe the only reason why this game wasn't on PC was because PC gamers would have cracked the game files and exposed Bungie. Sorry guys but we got **** on this one. We spent $100.00 on a $60.00 game.
