Somehow, against all the odds, the game still manages to be fun. Perhaps it’s the sheer over-the-topness of everything, Mercenaries 2 displays an exuberance missing from so many “realistic” games these days and it is this that will hold interest long after it should have waned.

All in all Tower Bloxx Deluxe isn't a bad game, it just isn't very good.

TNA Impact has some good ideas, but there just aren’t enough of them to warrant a purchase.

The Legend of Korra is proof that everything Platinum touches doesn’t automatically turn to gold. An interesting combat system can’t contend with the utter mediocrity that is layered on top of it. Even Korra fans may find it difficult to get through the short playtime.

The worst version of Dead Nation.

There is nothing in the game to be particularly dismayed by, nor anything that gives the sense that this could be the definitive spin-off fans and non-fans alike could get behind.

Frankly its just another ‘they shouldn’t have bothered’ renamination from Sega, when the fans deserve much more.

Another 'me too' launch release that doesn't particularly surprise; those who have played the GBA version needn't bother with this one.

It lacks the vital spark to set it apart from others already on the shelf. And, despite the best efforts of its marketing gurus, Blood Will Tell looks set to remain indistinguishable at retail; no doubt inviting but ultimately middling.

In the end Naughty Bear just isn't very durable, and after a few hours of play starts to resemble the rather forlorn, moth-eaten teddy bear you abandoned in your youth.

Wrestling fans may find some enjoyment here, but for others, your best bet is to dig out that N64 and play the brilliant WWF No Mercy - the game that Wrestlemania tried so hard to be.

Given the quality of recognised classics of the genre such as Capcom v SNK 2 and Capcom's formidable Street Fighter Alpha Anthology disc (both of which retail for the same price) and Battle Coliseum’s bargain basement finish, there is no way this game can be considered anything other than average.

Another by-the-numbers film license cash-in which will entertain, but ultimately leave the player wishing they parted with their cash for something that has had more creative and industrious effort put into it.

Overall, Smash and Survive is like a poor man's version of the Burnout series with a demolition derby aspect badly added. If you're looking for a diamond in the rough amongst all the other low budget downloadable games on the Playstation Network then we suggest you keep looking, because this isn't it.

A harmless game with classic standard platform gameplay, and classic 3D platform camera problems.

This game is too hard for little gamers to earn their platformer wings, and too annoying for the rest of us, who will have seen all the worthwhile bits before, to grace with our time.

With unique glitches evident Pure Football is an interpretation of the sport similar to Super Mario Strikers with its emphasis on pick up and play.

This would make an excellent PSN or XBLA game, and would be worth paying top price for. But as a top price full release game, this should be a lot better.

M.A.C.H is technically a near-perfect game; smooth, easy to play, good looking, well implemented multiplayer modes and so on. What it doesn't have is a single spark of originality or even the smallest bit of personality. Is polish more important than originality? GameStyle thinks not.

Alien Hominid HD almost makes us want to cry. Maybe it's because a game we've been looking forward too has turned out to be incredibly average or perhaps it's because we've very rarely been this overcome by a games unfair difficulty.

Despite the annoying difficulty, the most frustrating aspect is that you fully appreciate the potential for a decent Killzone game.

If PopCap had of combined the first and second with the best games from both and made a compilation of Plants vs. Zombies, Bejewelled, Feeding Frenzy 1/2 and Zuma then they would definitely of had a winner on their hands, but due to the fact that both volumes have been weakened by other games it is hard to rate higher than we have, even though 1 or 2 of the games are true gems.

The definitive average experience. You can play through this title with little effort and come out at the end with next to no lasting impression of any kind. It merely exists to pass away a few hours and should be consigned to the history books.

Live and Reloaded is a fun and entertaining package for a short while in single player, but dated gameplay and some technical issues ensure that it won't last long.

Full Auto 2 tries so hard to be enjoyable with its arsenal of weapons and distinctive car designs. It is very much like a combat version of NASCAR, with large numbers of cars going around a bland circuit at high speeds. It may appeal to a minority, but this is no Destruction Derby.
    • 57 Metascore
    • 50 Critic Score
It isn't the technical worries that will disappoint fans of the series (after all, we're used to that sort of thing by now), rather the glaring gameplay inadequacies that utterly destroy most of the main game and cripple the extra modes.
