For all the fun the game offers, and it is fun, it is brutally short... Admittedly there are a plethora of options to "unlock", but the game itself is all too brief. There is no versus mode either, something that would have added greatly to the replay value.

Minor issues and short playtime aside, D4 is well worth a look, and one of the few times the “better with Kinect” slogan is appropriate.

It really is a shame that all the improvements are ruined by the online aspect. This may not be a deal-breaker for many people, and the offline multiplayer is as good as previous versions.

Overall P.N.03 may not offer anything new, but the combination of old values, futuristic looks and game play has made this one of the most satisfying Gamecube releases of late. [Import]

None of the stress matters in the end, though. All that you care about is getting Baby back to mummy, and the excited grinning and hopping she does after you navigate a tricky segment together is worth every moment of frustration along the journey.

Bully's most negative technical aspect is the in-game camera, which lags behind action and just cannot cope with corridors or quick changes of direction.

You would be hard-pressed to find a cheaper way to indulge your nostalgic streak, and few people deserve to live their lives without experiencing the giddy thrills on offer here.

So if you are looking for a quick alien fix that isn't overly expensive and is a gaming classic then this trilogy is best suited for you. The game would of warranted a higher score if it had not been for the camera issue and slight lack of re-playable time, overall decent game.

There is nothing to be learned or mastered, other than your own quick reflexes, and while it is unfortunate that so many of the games are too similar and don't offer enough gameplay variety, the actual experience of working through them is both challenging and original, with comedy value and lush visuals to boot.

Whilst extremely generic, it offers huge amounts of fun for the first few hours. Get past that however, and you soon realise that beneath the low brow gags and goofy gifts, there’s not a lot left to make it stand out from the crowd.

Like an empty warehouse it may be huge and imposing, but once inside your options are limited - and disappointingly so.

For those who have never experienced the DW series before, this is the perfect place to start, and either find a challenging, delightfully tactical slice of unpretentious fun or unearth a deformed, unlovable, fossilised relic of a bygone age.

If you are new to the Worms series, or if you have done away with any of your previous generation consoles, then Battlegrounds is a great place to start, or update to. However, if you are still playing older iterations, it doesn’t really offer enough to warrant you moving on.

Bomberman Land is a shining light in an otherwise drab wasteland of terrible mini-game collections.

WipEout HD may not make the huge industry-changing impact it once did, but this is the most accessible entry to date (delivery method aside), and easily one of the most impressive technical demonstrations on the PS3.

While it's admittedly too easy and a little simplistic in structure (albeit with plenty of extras to unlock), it's nevertheless ideal for young ones or anyone looking for an easy-going few hours.

There is still work to be done on this series; the physics still need work and the difficulty still needs to be more carefully balanced. However, it's hard to hate any aspect of this game, even the parts that don't work so well, as it's the most successful attempt yet at recapturing the magic of the original games.

In the end, Urban Chaos is a beggar's banquet where good breeding (note: Mucky Foot is a splinter group borne of ex-Bullfrog employees) and redoubtable gameplay sit tastefully at the head of the table.

Just Dance 3 isn't a game for everyone; it won't appeal to the Call of Duty crowd for example. However what it does, it does well and for the market it is aimed at, it is one that should be owned. Much more fun when the drinks are flowing than solo, but if brought out during a party situation and people will step up and dance. At the end of the day, a game like this bought for one reason only...FUN and Just Dance 3 does fun really well.

It isn't a Katamari game, but Drinkbox Studios did a fine job of recreating the mechanic and turning it into something of their own. This isn't the best game on PSN, but it is a worthy addition to your collection.

Yet as an overall experience it works, the pacing is done well, the challenge is just right, the visuals just about hold up and you'll most certainly enjoy your time with it.

While obviously lacking in the story department, neither the single nor multiplayer modes really capture the Final Fantasy zeitgeist, instead having more in common with action-adventure titles like Gauntlet or Zelda. [Import]

An enjoyable dungeon crawler with a decent story.

There's little point in buying this version. Gamestyle recommends either waiting for the upgrade or renting this for a solid weekend of tactical espionage action.

Overall Sonic Jump is a solid entry to the Sonic library, a game built from the ground up for a specific device. It plays well and looks good on the iPhone retina display. There are plenty of better games out there but it is just nice to have another solid Sonic game to play.

Even after 12 years, Front Mission is a good game, and if you’re a fan of turn-based strategy games, it would be a great addition to your DS library.

The extra content is appreciated but does little to expand what is already an enjoyable and offbeat experience.

A healthy package of games, then, but we were expecting more in the realm of additional content.

Overall, this is a game that will likely divide Castlevania fans. It’s still that a dark and forbidding fairy tale told that worked so well on the 3DS. It doesn’t quite fit as well here but it does manage to create some of the same atmospheric, dark and brutal adventure and if more people get a chance to experience it then that can only be a good thing. Its home is clearly on the 3DS though.

They say the show must go on and in the Resistance world there are still questions to be answered, but the disappointing nature of this third instalment and its failure to deliver at retail most likely means this is the last release in the series. Perhaps such an end is the best option all round.

There isn’t much to say about Pillar, it cannot be recommended to everyone, because it clearly isn’t for everyone. But if you like to use your own imagination whilst being tested, then you will get a good experience here.

Completing Shinobi is not an issue, but doing it with the style deserving of the series certainly is. Achieving those impressive A rankings will keep the dedicated occupied for the foreseeable future. Given the lack of alternative modes and the shortness of the main game, this fact will probably be lost on those who prioritise completion over mastery.

An enjoyable script and weapons will keep you playing until the game's climax, but don't expect to go back for more.

Although nothing special or notable for original ideas, this is how a licensed game should be done. If you’re a fan, God-forbid, you might just like it. Kudos to Artificial Mind & Motion.

This game is perfect for that rainy Sunday afternoon where you know you can download this and let your kids while away a few hours without having to worry about them too much.

Not the most in-depth or daunting example of the genre, however the accessibility of the game and enjoyment with a friend should endeavour its charms to more than a select few.

It’s just a really good fun game that does not take itself at all seriously and for fans of Dr Jones it is absolutely fantastic and I cannot recommend it high enough.

Whilst The Red Star might lack the polish of newer titles and suffers from some design flaws, the gameplay at its heart is absolutely rock solid and will conjure up memories of games gone by for the more discerning and mature gamer.

But the Defence phases and the length of a match (count a good 40 minutes with all the tactics selection screens) prove to be a bit tedious and repetitive and will demand perseverance from the player.

Overall Rayman 3 HD isn't anything new, it is however a worthy re-release of decent platform game. Whether you played the original back in 2003 or not, it is a game worth picking up, especially if you are a fan of platformers.

Reaching the end of Wipeout Pure is certainly a challenge, but once the higher ground has been breached (without PSP owning friends) there is little reason to return to the game.

Legend is a good, solid game, but it's a short-lived experience that suffers from a wonky storyline and combat/platforming sections that don't really gel together.

A solid game, with a few minor port issues, but at a budget price one you should be at least flirting with the idea of playing.

Everything else is just as you'd expect from the blue blur's 2D exploits; dynamic momentum and solid-but-clunky feedback making for a satisfying game regardless.

3D Dot Game Heroes is a wonderfully presented game, with a clever concept that is well-executed throughout.

This is a solid entry in the expanding repertoire of Alan Wake and keeps players interested in what lies ahead.

It’s not in the same league as "Jak and Daxter," but is it still head and shoulders above everything else currently available on the Playstation 2.

Overall Kinect Sports can be seen as a success and gives the peripheral a strong foundation. A must have default option for every Kinect owner it offers a great night in if you don't wish to venture outside.

Definitely worth a purchase for arcade racing devotees and Ridge Racer fanatics.

Whilst plotting strategic job changes remains as fresh and engrossing today as it ever did, the grinding and sometimes repetitive combat can't help but detract from the overall enjoyment of the title.

Think of Sudeki as a trip to the Renaissance faire with your crystal loving anime fan friend from the new age bookstore. You can choose to either drink in the experience, enjoy it for what it is and not scratch too deep; or you can over analyze it, shatter the illusion and trudge around miserable all day.

That doesn't change the fact that underneath the fireworks and glitter that the generation-jump brings DMC4 is a far less complete video game than its predecessors, and being new to the series will simply delay the realisation that the game just doesn't live up to the series' potential.

Instead of well-written dialogue, we have semi-naked female characters with implausible breasts; instead of any sort of well-rounded lead character, we have a dislikeable chap with 'attitude'; instead of complex, beautifully-designed puzzles that continually flow from room to room, we have combat and decapitations at every corner.

Rugby World Cup 2011 is a decent attempt at bringing the sport back to games consoles and despite being light on features and a bit weak in the graphics department, it actually plays a fine game of Rugby. Hopefully HB Studios have done enough to get another stab at a Rugby game and not just in four years time for the next World Cup, it would be nice to see this base engine built up over the next few years and to see the sport better represented in the gaming world.

A solid game set in a beautifully-created world brimming with life and atmosphere. While it begins unassumingly, the game soon finds its 'furry' feet.

Alongside the single-player campaign, there's an entertaining multi-player mode that enables two people to build armies and defences and go to war. Whilst this is only local play, it does mean that Lock's Quest makes a more worthy addition to your DS collection.

Special Forces: Team X is an unexpected treat, and on paper, it should have been a lot worse. There are some technical problems, but at the core is a solid game. Whilst it is probably not enough to lure in the hardcore COD or MW fans, it looks like there could be a fan base developing.

Overall, Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure is a real surprise.

A ton of video game references and cultural in-jokes… but as always and once again, it turned out to be quite a juicy guilty pleasure.

The strong visual style is yet again backed up by the all-purpose Renderware engine; environments are highly-detailed, the resolution is crisp and the lighting effects are startling. The sound too is impressive.

Despite a few niggling problems Max had lost none of his charm and this title comes highly recommended to both Payne and shoot'em up fans a like.

As for size, the game suffers because it lacks the depth of its competitors, but it still manages to offer more playable hours than the previous three EA Lord of the Rings releases.

It's easy to pick up and play with a fair spread of checkpoints throughout the levels which works well for the quick bursts required with mobile games.

Wii Sports Resort is a fantastic showpiece for MotionPlus, and the one thing that Gamestyle takes away from its time with the game is the possibility of what it could lead to.

An enjoyable enough experience, but is perhaps too reminiscent of the "Medal Of Honor series."

Gamestyle would like to say NeverSoft have done the series proud, but the truth is everything that's great about this game has simply been taken from Harmonix's template, and the new stuff that has been added almost saps the enjoyment back out of it.

It will undoubtedly prove enjoyable for those new to the series, but anyone expecting a fully-fledged sequel might be sorely disappointed.

Tiger Woods 09 certainly has a lot of life in it. A good online mode and lengthy career will easily keep golf enthusiasts hooked until the next edition.

By being different and daring and altogether difficult, it has alienated many. But by sticking to their (un-)fashionable guns, their purist vision and actually getting the game out there (with a Mature rating, no less), Capcom have created something of worth - and something worth remembering for years to come.

There's enough levels to provide a bit of variety to the single player modes but multiplayer is definitely where it's at, and always has been.

Germinator is pretty much a one trick pony, but that particular trick is fun and challenging, it is a low price and you will get some decent value. It is a game that is worth picking up as a nice accompaniment to your existing catalogue for when you fancy something a little less meaty.

Whilst Dead Money felt like a riskier shot, this piece of DLC is an altogether safer bet on an established norm.

The lack of an Xbox Live option is especially disappointing, as there will be no opportunity to correct outstanding bugs nor offer fans an additional planet or mission(s) to download.

Backbreaker doesn't do anything wrong as such and it seems to tick all the right boxes, it just feels a little flat as a package, it will be played for a good solid period then will likely be forgotten about as newer titles come out. You'd be foolish to not even give this game look though.

The soundtrack and the effects (towns are deadly quiet) are a missed opportunity, with the occasional repetitive dialogue heightening the failure to grasp what could have been achieved.

Overall, there’s no denying that La Mulana is both an excellent platform game and a great addition to the Vita’s catalogue. However, it is very tough and obscure at times.

Perhaps one of the most unique, stylish and absorbing games for the DS, and remains one of the best adventure titles for the system. Whether this says a lot about the game or rather the dearth of alternative adventure games is another matter; but given a chance Hotel Dusk will almost certainly keep you hooked to the end.

If you go into 400 Days expecting the same intense, emotional, roller coaster of a ride that Season 1 produced then you could be disappointed. With characters leaving almost as quickly as they are introduced there’s no time to get any sort of attachment, particularly when playing as a different person in each chapter. Keep your expectations in check however and there’s still plenty to get out of 400 Days, with an ending that could tie into the next season, this is still a worthy chapter in the series.

A fun game that lacks a slight spark, but is still worth picking up.

Dying Light shares much with Dead Island, some would probably say a little too much, but it cuts away a lot of the septic flesh and binds the wounds with some new (if not entirely fresh) ideas.

LEGO Jurassic World follows the tried and tested formula but is missing that little bit of magic, despite John Williams’ amazing score being part of the expereince.

Doesn't offer much more than genre traditionalism in the wake of its contemporaries, but it's a nostalgic look back at how this fantastic series started, and has enough hours of playtime locked away to make it more than worthwhile.

Splice is a game that will cause you great amounts of stress, but also rewards you with a sense of accomplishment.

Wonderful character design, superb visuals and old-school gameplay all unite to form an excellent PSP title.

Sometimes it isn't a bad thing to be a one trick pony, especially when that trick is as well executed as it is here.

While the game is trivially easy and it's frustrating that so many of its mistakes were easily avoidable, the fun combat, huge variety of missions, great graphics and instant likeability make this a little gem of a game that comes recommended.

Ronin is a good game, with an excellent idea for combat that is slightly devalued by an almost absolute need to stealthily take out enemies before entering battle. It frequently reminds you that this is not a stealth game but it is with stealth that you often make the best progress.

Yakuza 3 is another strong entry in a series that deserves your time.

The voice-acting meanwhile features a variety of accents and the sound effects adequately portray the stark reality of a strange world.

There is much to saviour and overcome for the discerning player, but for others be wary, as this release does not take prisoners.

PixelJunk SideScroller is definitely a gem in the arcade shooter genre's crown. A bold visual and space age soundtrack are definitely the games selling point but for PixelJunk lovers, the experience is simply too short.

Doki Doki Universe isn’t going to appeal to everyone, it isn’t a game that pushes the limits of what is possible, but it is a nice family friendly game that you can go back to time and time again.

The gameplay is expertly refined to such a degree that little more improvement can be achieved. Now all we need is the actual atmospheric experience to be up to par.

What Crackdown 2 lacks in depth, it makes up in destructive fun.

Scribblenauts is a great idea, with some questionable execution, and some laughable design decisions.

Offers very little above the original Playstation 2 version.

It’s undoubtedly a bold (if not brazen) attempt to entertain, and while Gamestyle found itself striving to collect every last item from the first title, it is hard to see the same happening with this one. Which leaves its technical achievements looking rather muted.

Overall there is much to enjoy within Hydrophobia Prophecy, which in its new guise remains a mixed experience. With its attractive price currently on the PlayStation Network, Hydrophobia Prophecy offers more value than many current releases.
