Every minute of Guitar Hero III has been an exciting experience.

As a freshman effort in an established franchise Neversoft has done just about everything perfectly. The game feels like Guitar Hero with just enough new spice to make it feel fresh at the same time. The track list is absolutely amazing and the addition of online and co-op career are much welcome additions.
  3. A great addition to the series, Guitar Hero III offers some great new tracks for hardcore fans, while the more responsive controls are great for newcomers.
  4. Neversoft played it pretty safe with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. It doesn’t break new ground and it didn’t need to. The existing formula has made the franchise a huge success. They did add a local co-op Career Mode, boss battles to the solo Career Mode, and a multiplayer Battle Mode. They also focused on improving the look and feel of the game with tremendous results.
  5. With online play, cooperative career, and a flesh-melting soundtrack, this is the best installment of the series yet.
  6. Guitar Hero III ups the ante with increased difficulty and new modes, and though not everything it adds is fantastic, the excellent tracklist and stellar gameplay are sure to keep you hooked.

In all honesty we're given another Guitar Hero game that despite the inclusion of some wonderful co-op play and horrible new "boss" battles is just another expansion with a list of songs that are neither well balanced nor interesting.

Grease up that fret board and sliding your fat fingers up and down that **** until they internally combust into flames. But in all seriousness, this game was a massive pinnacle to the guitar hero franchise with a major improved timing system and increased difficulty. if you're reading this review, you have probably hard of Raining Blood, One, Through the Fire and Flames... etc. After this game, the franchise plataeus with many other great games, but none compare to the one that defined the decade for rhythm gaming. I salute you Guitar Hero Expand

Online multiplayer, master tracks, boss battles and the new, superb Les Paul controller easily mark this iteration of Guitar Hero as entirely Online multiplayer, master tracks, boss battles and the new, superb Les Paul controller easily mark this iteration of Guitar Hero as entirely worthy of the franchise's glory and a welcome evolution of the series. New players, be warned, however. Guitar Hero III inherently addresses the hardcore virtual shredders, so the difficulty of some of the upper tier songs may upset and frustrate newer players. All the better reason to practice and pursue skill, I say, but others disagree. Expand

I thought this was a better game overall than Guitar Hero II, it had a larger soundtrack that had more recent songs for younger adults and teenagers. I think the best thing about this game is how infamous Through the Fire and Flames is. It has to be the hardest song to play out of all the Guitar Hero's. I think this game desreves more and was very overlooked. Expand
