With far too much new content to list here, it offers a brilliantly rejuvenated experience to die-hard fans and a reason for the wandering flock to return. [Oct 2007, p.118]- games(TM)

Fallblox is an intoxicating blend of the familiar and the new, every bit as essential as Pullblox, and a further reminder that Intelligent Systems remains one of the most aptly named developers in the business.- games(TM)

While WildStar might not be nearly as 'big' or brash as it would like to think it is, the beauty of potential is that one day it may well end up that way. [Issue#150, p.109]- games(TM)

A breathtaking romp that juxtaposes superbly implemented combat with intrusive CGI cut-scenes and the sort of archaic puzzles that would make the "Resident Evil" franchise proud. [May 2004, p.96]- games(TM)

The emperor is wearing tense, compelling and entirely seductive clothes. It's just a shame his outfit is from the 2005 collection. [Issue#95, p.102]- games(TM)

Mercury’s subtle combination of spot-on physics, obvious answers and hidden short cuts creates a game of continual perfection and frustration alike - what more could you ask for from a great puzzle game? [June 2005, p.104]- games(TM)

Nintendo has all too often repeated its wish to put smiles on as many faces as possible, and Kirby's Epic Yarn is arguably the most successful exponent of that mantra. [Issue#104, p.114]- games(TM)

It's a side of Nintendo we occasionally fear losing forever, which makes Retro's outing a welcome return to the company's hardcore roots, as well as one of this year's finest platformers. [Christmas 2010, p.104]- games(TM)

While the game is still intrinsically limited by the conceits of the original 1986 release, it's ultimately a return to a much-missed component of the gaming landscape. [Issue#192, p.78]- games(TM)

Having heard the energetic and emotional Japanese voice-over, the US equivalent is a huge letdown, being cheesy and devoid of any real emotion. This criticism aside, though, Baten Kaitos is a refreshing and sumptuous RPG. [Jan 2005, p.106]- games(TM)

Yes, it's simple, and a classic example of style over substance, but NBA Jam is also a huge amount of fun, and a great example of a developer actually realising what made a franchise so popular in the first place and building it into something far greater. [Christmas 2010, p.118]- games(TM)

The closest the fighting genre has come to recapturing the spirit of ye olde classic Capcom vs SNK 2, in that this feels aimed directly at the hearts of fans rather than at their wallets. It's the closest any series has come to a 'best of' album, and is a fitting tribute to the legacy of the series thus far.- games(TM)

Treading a fine line between jaw-dropping realism and high-res synthetic sheen, you can't help but be impressed by the composition of the environments, and if your PC is speedy enough you're in for a real treat. [Apr 2004, p.92]- games(TM)

Year on year, the main modes in the THPS games have moved further away from traditional over-the-top skating to encompass more and more 'crazy' goals, something we're not entirely sure we approve of. One thing we are sure of, though, is that the core skating engine makes for by far the best extreme sports game of this generation. [Christmas 2003, p.98]- games(TM)

There are no nasty surprises, no ill-considered gameplay changes and no sense that Sonic Team is ever confused about what the game is supposed to be. It’s a game that is totally comfortable with itself. And it has every right to be. [Apr 2009, p.106]- games(TM)

This isn't what you'd call a 'non-game', however. Art Style: Light Trax has a deep set of mechanics that challenge and reward in equal measure, and make its gameplay as satisfying as the presentation is beautiful.- games(TM)
