Sadly, this particular iteration of the series is a dismal and distant cousin, better known for its lead paint-eating habits than engaging dinner banter. Not to be recommended to series fans, initiates, or those trawling the bargain bin at the software store.

The control is a little eccentric. The controls can be reconfigured in a limited way, but the steering always seemed to tend toward over steering.

Bad looking, worst sounding, poor playing and bug-ridden. In the end analysis, buy the DVD and enjoy the movie - leave the game on the shelf.

But Links 2004 on the Xbox is pure relaxation for the video gamer. No high-pressure, adrenaline-soaked gaming here, just the pure satisfaction of a perfectly executed swing and the resulting well-placed plop of the ball on the green.

I'd have to use both my fingers and toes to tally up how many times the character suddenly materialized through a wall, or walkway, or big lethal spike-thingy, and so on.

Both Tribunal and Bloodmoon offer new lands to explore, new people to interact with, new items to acquire, new enemies to fight and new quests to undertake.

The levels are linear, the enemy AI is not very smart, and the game world feels weak even with the background chatter of your teammates and the constant radio contact with your superiors. Overall, SWAT: Global Strike Team is a good but imperfect game.

Graphically, the game is a masterpiece. It is, without hyperbole, the most gorgeous MMORPG I have ever played. Characters look richly detailed, and the environment seems alive.

The graphics are nice, the gameplay is simple to pick up (but hard to master) and finding an online opponent doesn't seem to be a problem at the moment. If you like turn-based strategy games then you can't go wrong.

Like the other Hunter games, features a limp sound track, silly dialog, and giant swarms of monsters. It's also really meant to be played multiplayer; the person playing by themselves is likely to end up frustrated by the amount of baddies and the punishing difficulty of boss battles.

It's a great game, with good graphics, immersive storyline and an overall appeal that I can't ignore.

The vast number of improvements to gameplay and the addition of legendary characters, new modes like Elimination Chamber and Bra and Panties matches and a better season mode makes this game the king of the world.

A decent World War 2 tactical game, marred by extensive bugs, design flaws, and, yes, a lack of co-op support. Maybe when it's patched up it'll be worth your hard-earned dough, but for the time being, only die-hard fans or gamers that don't demand much out of their games will want to pick it up.

The action isn't quite as fast and furious (or spooky) as iGames' Nosferatu, but it is a lot of fun. There's a lot of puzzle solving and "find the key" gameplay, along with a fair amount of exploration and discovery that works pretty well despite a few technical problems that make gameplay a little more awkward than it should be.

Perhaps the biggest failing in Black Mirror is that the ending comes too soon. After spending so much time building up this great story, the end, while logical, doesn't have the same narrative buildup as the rest of the game.

A decent single-player affair that pays proper homage to the 1920's silent film on which it takes inspiration from. The game is a lot of fun and will surprise players in varying degrees at every turn.

A nice beat 'em up that is pleasant to look at, offers a wide variety of different moves and chracters and a nice two-player co-op mode that makes the game a lot more valuable to adults and kids that want to pal around Gotham as their favorite super hero.

A competent, if not particularly impressive, sequel. It makes some minor technological improvements, but packages them with major new flaws in the storytelling and gameplay.

While the difficulty of some battles may have you ready to smash your controller at times, the rewards for getting past the hard battles are more than worth the frustration. Viewtiful Joe is one of those rare must-play games that people will still be talking about 10 years down the road.

LucasArts has once again pulled off an amazing title that could only hold up to the name "Star Wars". The graphics, interaction, story, authentic sound effects, and the overall concept of going from a pee-on student to a full-blown Jedi Knight have been fully realized by Jedi Academy.

It's definitely the best translation of the traditional D&D game to the PC format. The incorporation of the D&D 3.5 Edition ruleset is great, and works a lot better that the severely lacking and awkward Ruins Of Myth Drannor, released earlier this year.

If, somehow, you're able to get past the pervasive and ceaseless problems with the camera, underneath it is a halfway decent action game that suffers from repetitive gameplay, ceaseless backtracking of the "find the blue key and then run halfway across the map to use it" sort, and an utterly inane story.

While RAW 2 may suffer from a few minor old (and new) bugs and flaws, the overall game is pretty solid, easier to play the the first game and entertaining due to the sheer volume of new content.

A great game if you have a bunch of buddies who want to play with you, or if your existing Quake / Unreal Tournament etc. clan is looking for a new title to explore. However, as a single player sitting at home playing over the internet, I felt the game was lacking something that it wasn't when battling it out at E3 on S2 Games' LAN.

The most extraordinary thing you'll find in this new game is a mode called Revenge. Revenge is the game's answer to story mode, and it is a story indeed.
