Your task is to use all means available, including cutting-edge weaponry and next-generation gear, to bring international criminals to justice. To succeed, you'll need to master the skills of close-quarters combat, long-range shooting, and high tech equipment operation. You must also issue essential commands to your teammates via the controller or the optional voice recognition microphone. If you have what it takes to beat the 21 single player missions, grab a friend and battle through 10 unique multiplayer-only missions. Both modes showcase an amazing level of graphical sophistication, including hard-edged shadows and an Iris Effect lighting system that mimics the way the human eye works when moving between light and dark areas. These features and more ensure that the environments in SWAT: GST are the most photorealistic possible. [Sierra] Expand

Though the missions are somewhat short (they average fifteen minutes in length) they possess a great deal of replayability, thanks to the fact that you can solve each one in so many different ways. [Dec 2003, p.50]

This isn't the most gratifying FPS game out there, or is it the deepest but it does have its place. You all know us, you know what we do for a living so you should realise that we really don't like saying that a game would make an ideal rental.
  4. Controls are solid, graphics are passable, and the upgradable weapons are a nice touch. [Dec 2003, p.150]

It'll make for a pretty good rental, especially if you have a headset lying around.

The novelty of yapping it up boosts this game from mere mediocrity into a somewhat-intriguing solid title. [Dec 2003, p.86]

It's an OK game to have fun if you play in Coop, it's very repetitive and has monotonous scenarios, but it's still fun with a friend. The coolest thing is to give orders as much as possible and not try to kill Nobody there only uses violence if necessary
Swat 4 is ahead of this one and it was released in 2005

All they do is copy Rainbow Six and put on a different name to diguise it. It is exactly the same, nothing new.
