For a game that is part racing and part fighting, the fact that the only real racing is the last ten seconds of each “race” really is a downer.

Rule of Rose definitely delivers the chills from beginning to end and although the stories from chapter to chapter can feel a little detached, you will find yourself continually anticipating what will happen next.

If you and your friends are fans of the series, as popular as it is, Pirates Carnival would be a great way to kick back and have a friendly competition with each other. Those who are not familiar with the series or are a little older may not find the premise or even the gameplay itself all that interesting and not quite the party they were expecting.

There are still things to work on for next year, including better control and the play by play, but this game will definitely keep me busy until next year’s game.

It’s a shame there’s no internet play, and you’ll need to take frequent breaks to avoid hand injuries, but the game definitely passes the time and is enjoyable.

If the game added a [few] more side missions that weren’t so repetitive, a lot less curing zombies and healing folks, and toned down the stereotyping racial humor, the game could have been fun to take a run through. Unfortunately, it’s the exact opposite of that.

It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of its console counterpart, but if you need a portable NASCAR fix, this game will do.

With NASCAR 07, you get the feeling that not a lot of time was spent updating the game. Yes, the new paint schemes are there, but there's really not much new content here vs. "NASCAR 06."

One of my biggest gripes with the game is the police. You hit a couple cars in traffic and the police are all over you.

But the core mechanics of Yakuza – fighting and futzing around in this collection of city bits – are simply too disjointed to bear up under the fifteen or so hours it takes to reach the payoff.

A success due to a number of reasons including an inspired artistic style that is simple but strikingly beautiful, characters that are both eccentric and charming, and a catchy soundtrack that you won't get out of your head.

Sound in the new game is pretty good but repetitive. It sounds like it always plays the same “explosion” .wav file over and over. Yawn. The original theme song is there but has been remastered.

Bomberman: Act Zero is like new Coke.. sure it has the name, but it just doesn't taste as good as the original.

Disgaea 2 is ultimately about the characters you create, the battles you fight, the equipment you improve, and the party you level up and kit out. Like many of the best games -- Civilization, X-Com, Diablo, Pirates -- Disgaea 2 is about the story you create in the playing.

Volition benefits enormously from not having to develop for a stinky ol' Playstation 2. Since it went 3D, "Grand Theft Auto" has been lodged firmly and uncomfortably against the limits of Sony's console system. But with Saint's Row, the Grand Theft Auto model busts free.

For $10, you can’t go wrong with Texas Hold ‘Em and looking at the Xbox Live most played games, I’m not the only one that thinks so. Give it a shot!

As far as this game rates versus my expectations of a football game on the 360, it is a major disappointment. I expected more – online leagues, prior generation features brought to the 360 as well as the eye candy. I only got the eye candy.

If you are looking for an enjoyable game to play with friends in the fashion of Mario Kart, then Pac Man World Rally is a good way to go, but if you are looking for a game that tests your mettle and driving skills, World Rally may not fill that need.

A solid, predictable, and competent game. It's not a revolutionary step by any means, but the gameplay tweaks are for the most part meaningful additions.

One of the best “pick up and play” renditions of a 4X space strategy title I’ve seen to date, and with the possibility of third-party mods opening up and even an expansion pack, I’m looking forward to seeing that the future brings for this interesting title.

An early Christmas present from Monolith and it is some violent and vicious online action that looks absolutely gorgeous, although players will need a pretty hefty gaming rig to experience it in all its glory.

The problem really is that most Final Fantasy Fans won't be interested in the game's core gameplay.

Where the game ultimately stumbles is in its lack of cohesive gameplay mechanics, some cheap parlor tricks in terms of movement and characters that don't get enough quality time in the limelight. Still, I'd be hard pressed not to recommend this game to fans of games like Dynasty Warriors or Drakengard.

I’d confidently recommend this game to anyone with a computer and some free time.

The problem is that veteran fans such as myself will have a field day in pointing out the game’s vital flaws, and the technical bugs alone don’t’ really help either.

There are no added features to speak of. There’s no online multiplayer or split screen – there’s not even a 2 player hot seat game, which is a pretty big omission.
