Next-gen games notwithstanding, HP's graphics are well below average. The textures are of the absolutely flat, glued-to-the-wall variety, there's tons of pixilation, and everything is generally ugly.- GameShark

What it has in excellent concepts such as wide open areas that stretch as far as the eye can see, and all the name brand trucks and Hummers you can drive, it lacks in updated graphics and control precision.- GameShark

The overall presentation (save the camera problems) is nice, the action is engaging (though it does get repetitive after awhile) and the myriad of mini-games, collecting activities (including finding all the townsfolk) and character interactions fill in the gameplay out where there could have been serious holes.- GameShark

That being said, the game is well worth playing, for both kids and adults, as the nanogames are well done, Patchy the Pirate is hilarious and the art style is fantastic. If the game had more nanogames and a more compelling 3D implementation it'd be a different story, but as it is, it's tough to recommend for the price.- GameShark

There simply is no comparison between the Endangered Species expansion pack and any other product that claims to be an expansion. Zooty fans should pick this up immediately.- GameShark

Doesn't feel like a true Call of Duty game. Gamers can blame Amaze if they like or the difficulty of developing a shooter on the PSP format, but either way Call of Duty Roads to Victory falls short of expectations.- GameShark

A tough love of a game. You won't get into it right away, and for the first few hours you'll be finding yourself swearing more than playing. But with a little patience, and a few grains of salt, it becomes a rather fun RPG.- GameShark

If a truly authentic hitter/pitcher battle is what you crave, for example, this isn’t going to do it for you. If what you really want is to just sit down and have some fun playing something that looks and feels a lot like baseball, even if it’s not the most authentic game on the market, then this game will do the job.- GameShark

Likewise, I wouldn't touch this game again over the higher quality Capcom and Tecmo offerings available on the same platform. I'd advise other push-button martial artists to do the same.- GameShark

Ultimately, Tiberian Twilight is a poor end to a long lived franchise. Its core design violates the major tenets of RTS sharing and openness, and this alone is enough to make me hate it.- GameShark

Throughout the campaign, several missions require you to tackle mobile “Arms Forts”. These are tremendously large battle platforms, bristling with heavy artillery, missile racks, and other surprises.- GameShark

As an Undead Nightmare-like DLC pack for Yakuza 4, Dead Souls makes sense. As a full retail package, the combination of the zombie theme and the recycling feels desperate and ill-advised.- GameShark

In the end it left me a bit hungry. It is really different than the PC version, and it seemed like it was just thrown together.- GameShark

Remember when Blitz and NBA Jam ruled supreme, and we all got our first taste of the notorious Midway Comeback AI? I’m sad to say that a close relative of that AI seems to be present here.- GameShark

Nail'd works just fine as a mindless racing game with thin idiot-proof gameplay to tide you over when you don't feel like something substantial with a learning curve.- GameShark

Arc Rise Fantasia isn't a bad game, but it's an unfortunate victim of the "two steps forward, one step back" rule. As a result, the good moments do manage to outweigh the not so good, which is a lot more than can be said for many games that hit the market at this time of the year.- GameShark

Once you're finished, something that should only take about five hours, you can unlock the super hard Ragnorak mode, and maybe then your thirst for challenge will be sated, but at that point, why bother? There may be more moves to unlock and different costumes to flit about in, but by then you've seen all there is to see and honestly, hitting a giant with a hammer is only so interesting, regardless of how many different ways you can swing it.- GameShark

It lacks pace, but makes up for it with skills and basic soccer strategy. What it lacks is teams and depth in its gameplay modes.- GameShark

If you love the X-Men, fighting and tight fitting clothes on women, this game is for you. Then again, if you love the X-Men, fighting and tight fitting clothes on men, this game is also for you. I guess this game is for everyone thirteen or older.- GameShark

So the first thing Darkstar One: Broken Alliance has going for it is that it doesn't have a lot of competition. The second thing it has going for it is that it was already a good game on the PC, and it was simple enough that it didn't have to be compromised on the way to the Xbox 360. So right away, that's a heap of good news for anyone who fondly recalls the thrill of flying a load of medical supplies past pirates to sell it for a modest profit that will go towards a bigger laser.- GameShark

A game that plays well but has left a lot of key gameplay options behind. Even with NBA Replay, this game is just not worth $60 to pick up, but it may be worth a weekend rental.- GameShark

For every “wow” moment there’s a commensurate “what the heck” moment that drains the fun. Head-to-head players and single season players will have plenty of fun with this game, despite its warts. Franchise players—move on, there’s nothing to see here.- GameShark

Like all games based on successful licenses from the written world, it’s a shame to see Immortals of Terra struggle so much in terms of overall direction. I’m sure in the vast Perry Rhodan landscape there’s more than enough material to make several blockbuster titles, yet this game fails to even make it out of the starting block.- GameShark

I am reminded of Super Monkey Ball Jr for the Game Boy Advance as an example of a great handheld maze game. Although it was released many years ago, the difference in actual gameplay experience between the GBA and the DS is night and day.- GameShark
