The lesson here is that just because the license is for kids, the game doesn't have to be. There’s a reason this sort of gameplay has been around for over 25 years: it works, whether you’re a green squirrel or an @. And Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is the game to prove it.

Realistically, mistakes will be made, some boss battles will be more challenging than others, and a secret treasure or two will be missed that will add more time to your adventure. But whether you play for 10 or 40 hours, Chantelise is a delightful, whimsical action role-playing game.

With its truly melon tweaking puzzles and the real life references to the acts and clues that were found during the real life investigation into the Jack the Ripper murders, Sherlock Holmes manages to cross from fictional to factual in a believable way.

Neither of these games bring home the gold in accurately simulating the Olympics, but ESPN International Winter Sports does a less-worse job of doing so [than "Salt Lake 2002."]

There are just too many nagging gameplay problems for the story to overcome and once your reach one of the two final endings, you’ll be wondering why Danny didn’t get on that flight to Paraguay ten hours earlier.

If you want a game that has a good deal of action, has a rather in-depth story line, and one of the more feisty main characters in a while, then Headhunter: Redemption could be what you are looking for.

I can certainly understand challenges, but “obtain all of Evil Rose’s costumes” isn’t a must-play reason for me.

Retains the style of Capcom's Viewtiful Joe series perfectly, but doesn't back it up with a very deep action experience.

My vote for funkiest feature included in a collectors edition has to go to the 3D paper figure included with Lineage II. It stands at just about 22 inches tall, includes 32 sheets of paper and 128 pieces. [DVD Review]

There are no added features to speak of. There’s no online multiplayer or split screen – there’s not even a 2 player hot seat game, which is a pretty big omission.

A substantial improvement over the original game. It’s very fun to play and although you’ll probably finish campaign mode in a day or two, there’s enough online replay value to get you through the season.

If you like arcade style combat games against hundreds of enemies at a time, and the ability to design your own ships then Warship Gunner 2 is a worthy edition to your PlayStation 2 library.

The racing gameplay at its core is fantastic and entertaining. People unfamiliar with NASCAR will find that the assists let them get behind the wheel easily, but both novices and veterans alike will find a lot of fault with just how uneven and broken the bugs can make the proceedings. Ultimately, while there is a good game in there, it comes complete with so much baggage that it's impossible to fully recommend.

Looks nearly identical to Squaresoft's game ["Final Fantasy Tactics"]. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but visuals is about the only area where Hoshigami stays on par with FFT.

It is actually short and easy enough that a two-day rental will probably be all you’ll need to blow through it.

The Rabbids have established themselves as veritable gaming icons in the casual sphere. Their frenzied faces, catchphrases, and ridiculous adventures may grate on the nerves for some, but for a formidable collection of simple-to-learn and difficult to mater mini-games, you could do a lot worse.

Divinity II is the kind of game that falls neatly into the category of "guilty pleasure" for me. It's an RPG that doesn't really break new ground, but plays well enough and provides a challenge.

It's a fun game for anyone that likes a good dungeon crawl, while fans of the arcade original will count this title among the best classic game updates ever.

Heatseeker claims to be an arcade fighting game -- which it is, so in that regard...mission accomplished; however it is also very easy with a low presentation value and limited gameplay options. There’s just not a lot here to get excited about.

The potential existed here for a good game, yet it's been squandered due to poor mission structure and downright bad cooperative intelligence.

If you're a PC gamer that is a bit intimidated by IL-2 Sturmovik and are sick of playing H.A.W.X., then Heroes Over Europe might be worth a look. If you're expecting it to completely fulfill your air combat needs though, you'll be disappointed.

If you are a fan of the original Larry installments, don't expect the same charisma or flair that they had with this….it's a new chef trying to add some added spice in the same kitchen, only they used too much of the wrong spice.

Splatterhouse is a mediocre remake of a mediocre game and once the main campaign is finished there's not much else left to do other than the Survival Arena Mode which pits you against wave after wave of enemies, which is just more of what the main game had you doing already.

Warriors Orochi isn’t a bad game since it is another angle on the same Koei-based hack-and-slash games they have been working on for over a decade now. There are also some new things brought to the table, but the gameplay experience is becoming tiring.

At the dawn of 2004 not enough time has passed for this to be a retro title and now it just feels out of date. I also suppose that if it were budget priced at $19.99 and a player who was curious about the Resident Evil franchise wanted to pick it up, I'd recommend it. But at $39.99... I can't do that.

With the exception of the car sequences and the stand out voice acting, Blood Stone is an average game with average gameplay and a rather short single player campaign. The game can be completed in about five hours and while it does have its interesting moments and explosive set pieces, they are few and far between and it leaves fans of 007 without much to be excited about.

The coop is a nice, but not perfect, feature that not many games have lately, but unfortunately that may not be enough to save this game from its terrible graphics and seriously repetitive gameplay.
