Fresh ideas, beautiful visuals, but shallow gameplay that fizzles out uncomfortably soon. Concrete Genie is fun for a while and it is capable of gripping you, so it might serve as a tool to overcome foul mood. But this should have been a much better game.

A typical example of the game that shouldn´t have left its home platform. Although Halo Wars 2 is relatively functional console strategy in the core, it basically does not have much to offer in comparison with PC competition. I would recommend it only to hardcore fans of the Halo universe, the rest of you should rather reach for Dawn of War or Company of Heroes series.

The addictive entertainment business started over the US transportation map, which was unfortunately ruined by the ugly user interface, poor optimization and flat major campaign.

Although Hitman brings some new features, it is still targeting the hardcore fans of the series. When you forgive its technical problems, other issues and devious AI, you will get an experience very similar to Blood Money. So far the game is for the core fans of the series only.

A system-enhanced sequel of by many the controversial thirteenth installment is like a sad song. Its form wins clearly over its content that has been "improved" to the utter dullness. Buy only in the case you don't care about a story nor about a fine-tuned combat system that would offer you an appropriate challenge.

Ridge Racer Unbounded, a title you've already known very well before actually playing it. It's the close imitation of many modern arcade racing games. It's not complete boredom, however, this game was made with certainty and with some stupid flaws.

This is a good basis for a game, but not a full game by itself. There are too many design errors and too little content - and the characters whose destinies you should be invested in are instead bland and uninteresting.

Full Throttle game didn´t get old in the best way and its transformation into a modern form lacks the charm of the original. Luckily there is no pixel hunting, but regular gameplay along with boring minigames, knock the title from stardom to above average level. Remaster makes sense if you want to educate yourself in a game history, otherwise you will be more comfortable with a friendly nostalgia.

Pleasant maritime adventure benefits from historical background and it’s excellent is storytelling about masters and servants. Everything else is unfortunately slightly below average. Especially dull gameplay harms the experience – you'll spend more time watching the game than playing.

Beautiful graphics and satisfactory gameplay. The impression is spoiled by stupid narrative and the low diversity of tasks together with limited tactical possibilities and stupid AI. That’s why the single-player experience gradually ends in stereotype and boredom. Cooperative mode is a completely different story – it offers another level of fun. If you would like to play Wildlands, it should be because of the experience with human co-players.

A fun survival experience crossed with a social study of the Russian Revolution. It’s pleasantly realistic but also strongly dependent on chance which, in the end, proves to be its downfall.

Surprisingly good adventure from a cubic world where computer outgrew over people´s head. If you have a basic version of Minecraft: Story Mode and if you want the next dose, forget the weak sixth episode and buy this one. It is better and it’s not connected to the previous one anyway.

This game is the definitive proof that you won’t get a tasty meal just by mixing random ingredients that you like. The immersion sometimes feels nice (when you turn off the HUD), but there are performance problems galore and a very weak AI ready to ruin your day.

Singleplayer is crap as usual, but multiplayer is not bad at all and also tries to innovate the series. Multiplayer in Hardline also accelerated, got smaller shape and put on a police uniform, which brings not only interesting modes for multiplayer and unrivaled environment, but unfortunately also unfinished game mechanics balancing between the mindless action and more tactical legacy of the series.

The efforts for modern concept of the legend came out of the way. Sonic Forces has obvious problems with the transition between two perspectives as well with the movement and speed. Only customization possibilities and several new weapons saves it from the average.

There's a saying: you cannot step in the same river twice. Or at least you shouldn't. However, developers from Radical did not follow this piece of advice and for a second time they managed to step in the same river's dirty spot. Prototype 2 will interest only the loyal fans of the first installment; the rest of gamers will see this title as a stereotypical and boring pose.

Although the mechanics of Big Pharma are interesting, instead of Theme Hospital tycoon style it's more about factory management. The game is certainly entertaining where it is supposed to be. But I'm afraid that it won't be good enough for those without love for chemistry.

Neither good nor bad. The new Need for Speed is just another piece in a row that you play and forget when it’s finished. Although the PC version has brought some interesting changes, console controls and unresolved technical issues are reasons why the game can´t be a hit.

An experience that still has a lot to offer eighteen years after its release, and when nothing else, it serves as a textbook of the whole game scene development. Otherwise, it suffers for its outdated systems and poor technical state, not even good visuals can save it.

At first, all the mechanics work. The game principle is catching, and it's romantic to fly with the warplanes of the First World War. Nevertheless, the PC game port looks epicene and inappropriate. Its biggest mistakes like repeating of the situations, imbalanced missions, and too much focus on maximize of your score follow its mobile origin. A turn-based strategy game by Sid Meier must be entertaining at any moment. Ace Patrol fails to satisfy this.

Brave New World brings a lot of new content along with new mechanics that do not, however, change or improve its gameplay. All's just chewed up. It's the same thing as with some immobile wrack, out of which you would try to make a movable cool car by just changing its transmission, respraying it with bee stripes, or by connecting a trailer to it. It just won't do. BNW is no BMW, even though it's not entirely its fault.

An average survival game, with a functional but unremarkable gameplay offering nothing we haven't seen repeatedly elsewhere. It fails to captivate through its story or combat, with its only real strength lying in the immersive environment and the portrayal of the Lord of the Rings lore. This means that if you're not interested in Tolkien's world, Return to Moria isn't worth your attention.

Career Mode full of bugs, bland Volta instead of the much better Journey and worse gameplay than last year to boot. Ultimate Team is, on the other hand, even more fun, but is also one of the worst examples of loot box economy. This year’s FIFA belongs among the vanquished.

Driftmoon is a fine choice, if you are craving for a joyful and trivial RPG that is not going to suck hundreds of hours of your life, nor it needs modern hardware to be playable. Just don't be too stern, because then you are going to pay attention to many flaws coming from its garage development.

Will you enjoy this story-based game? That, quite unsurprisingly, depends on whether you’re going to like the story. The plot twists aren’t great but if you’re interested in dark topics like PTSD, you could leave satisfied.

An open-based action RPG where cyberpunk, Dune, Equilibrium and online grindcore meet each other, and they miss almost everything you would call 'user friendly' – to get the local rules and learn them properly often takes hours of frustrating gameplay. However, if you put your time in it and embrace yourselves with patience, you'll get rewarded with unmatched experience of the old school gaming.

For some of you this is going to be a catlike degradation of the arcade series, for the others it's going to be their first moment to grab their plane and let their dream come true. There are helicopter missions and they are just fine. However, the story campaign full of turnovers and flashy broiling turns Ace Combat closer to passive gaping. Those simulator guys of you should wait for the upcoming hit by Jane's, for those of you bird of prey lovers – you should be enjoying this Namco's arcade video game under your Christmas tree.
