Combining the three best games in its series, Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania offers great value for very little. While the game certainly primarily seeks the attention of a younger audience, core gamers might also enjoy it due to precise controls and a neat challenge mode.

In Sound Mind offers a varied and unique horror experience that aims to unsettle you without the reliance on gore or jumpscares. Instead, this deep delve into the human psyche offers creative puzzles, interesting monsters and story that you won’t want to put down. The game’s presentation does suffer from outdated textures, an occasionally choppy framerate and some odd lighting issues. But the experience as a whole far outweighs the mistakes made along the way.

Knockout Home Fitness is what it says on the box: A martial arts move training game. It is, in my opinion, not a full-fledged fitness program. Yes, there are daily sessions composed by an AI, but these mainly target the arm and torso muscles. But if you use Knockout Home Fitness as a daily reminder to stretch in your home office and improve circulation, it is perfect.

FIFA 22 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S is definitely the next big step for the series – thanks to its better graphics, overhauled gameplay and a more realistic approach to football. However, Electronic Arts still has to sort out some balancing-issues that come along with the next-gen-technology.

Playing Ni No Kuni is like having an active role in an anime. The superb presentation and the wonderful humour are welcoming so that you can easily lose hours in its fantasy world. The game offers a rarely seen variety of gameplay mechanics and delivers where it should. The Switch Version lacks better graphics, but offers individual difficulty levels.

Blizzard certainly achieves its goal to remaster Diablo 2. With slick graphics and solid gamepad support Diablo 2: Resurrected is a more than enjoyable action-RPG. It, however, does show weaknesses in the inventory and user-guidance that come along with the 21 year old classic.

It’s hard to hold any of Tormented Souls’s flaws against the game since so many of them are by design. It’s very strict adherence to the classics of survival horror means you have a game that can easily frustrate, but also captivates with its struggle for survival like very few horror titles do these days. The story is cheese and the difficulty can feel arbitrary when we have to replay entire chapters of the game after dying to a hidden trap, just because the game refuses to include checkpoints. This is, however, a game that survival-horror fans have wanted for many years and it shows that fixed camera angles and limited saves can make for an incredibly intense horror experience even today.

Lost Judgment is a good sequel to an amazing predecessor. The fighting system is fun, the mission design is very diverse, and you can still put hours into entertaining optional stuff within the vast open world. There is just one thing that makes a huge difference. Takayuki Yagami's new case is not in the least as personal and captivating as his first one. That doesn't make Lost Judgment a bad game, but it makes it clearly stand behind the first part of the spin-off series.

As most of the former Arkane titles, Deathloop is far away from being a game off the rack. The unique setting with its great artstyle makes it stand out. The fast paced Dishonored-like gameplay is fun as well as if you choose the action or the stealth path. If there weren't some issues concerning balancing or the overall poor AI, Deathloop would be close to a masterpiece. As it is, it's just another great game from Arkane Lyon that's worth to play.

Surprising twists and turns, a more serious story and the picturesque graphics entice Tales of Arise with many hours of JRPG fun in a slightly lifeless and linear world.

Wario Ware: Get it together delivers a nice bunch of characters within fast paced and creative mini games and challenges. But especially for solo players the game will run out of air in just a few hours. Even with co-op and competitive modes included, the game does not offer long term fun like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or funracer king Mario Kart 8 do.

One of the most fun horde shooters since Left 4 Dead 2 thanks to an excellent progression system that motivates through several playthroughs of a surprisingly varied campaign featuring three unique enemy factions, as well as spectacular cross-faction battles. Especially on higher difficulties, this becomes tactical survival rather than a light-weight horde shooter, but thanks to in-depth weapon customization and class abilities the challenge never feels unfair.

If you're just focusing on graphics and performance or if you want everything to make sense, No More Heroes 3 might not be your game. But the quality of Suda51's new game consists of something else. It's the number of crazy ideas making you laugh out loud over and over again. It's the spectacular fighting action, the crazy characters and the many references to Japanese and western popular culture that makes No More Heroes 3 an enjoyable trip that's worth buying and a must-play for Suda fans.

With Psychonauts 2 Tim Schafer delivers the sequel every fan has been looking forward to. It's creative, diversified, funny, tremendously motivating and good looking, too. But you don't need to be a fan of the first part. Even if you don't know much about Raz, his family or the psychonauts, the game is an engaging action adventure everybody needs to play.

Ghost of Tsushima – Director’s Cut is the best way to play Sucker Punch’s samurai-adventure. Especially PS5-gamers receive to full Next-Generation-experience, enjoying a visual masterpiece supported by great features for the dualsense-controller. The “Island Iki”-expansion on the other hand doesn’t deliver too much new stuff, but feels like a “Best of” of Ghost of Tsushima and fits well into the game.

Arietta of Spirits is a cute, sterotypical action adventure, which tells a meaningful and emotional Story about friendship, family and death. Arietta fights together with her new spirit friend Arco for a better world and try to defeat the monsters which hunts the little island. Eventhough you can play through the story in about five hours, you can choose different difficulty levels and enjoy the game again.

Humankind is a solid strategy game, which doesn’t change the underlying formula of building and management games. The visuals are pretty and the systems deep enough to sink some time into it. Where it shines is the possibilities to design your own culture, society and religion - with all the implications this has for diplomacy, trade and war. Genre fans should have a look at this interpretation, but if you don’t like these kind of games, there won’t be anything for you here regardless.

The Siege of Paris rounds up a great Season Pass offer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Especially the expanded optional stealth approaches within the main quest make the DLC feel more like a classic Assassin's Creed game. There are some minor technical issues on PS5, but they don't ruin a great experience at all.

Samurai Warriors 5 doesn’t do much to change up the Warriors-formula, but instead distills the pure, casual fun of slicing your way through thousands of enemies to its core. Thanks to a new graphic style and an excellent technical performance, this series has never run or looked better than on the Series X. It is a bit disappointing that the roster of 37 heroes is limited by the 16 weapons they all share, but when standing on its own, without the knowledge of past titles, this game absolutely offers enough content to justify its price and is an absolute blast to play for fans of this particular niche.

The basic idea with the time crystals is great and provides the combat system a special tactical aspect. The graphics look nice and Crisbell is a pleasant heroine. But while there is nothing that really makes Cris Tales stand out of the JRPG genre, there are also some annoying weaknesses concerning balancing and comfort that can't be justified by trying to be classic.

Death’s Door fails to live up to its intriguing premise. The quirky, wonderful world to explore full of unique characters is held back by uninspired gameplay and repetitive combat. In a world where games like Hollow Knight and Hyperlight Drifter attempt a similar mix of Zelda and Souls-like elements, Death’s Door simply doesn’t offer anything new aside from its interesting personalities. The game is still a fun experience for fans of this style of game, especially at the low price, yet the journey won’t be nearly as memorable as others.

Skyward Sword has never been one of the top games of the Zelda series, but with it's unique setting and sword fighting mechanic it's still a great action adventure. Essentially the HD version on Switch doesn't change anything about that. There is more comfort as on Wii, but also Nintendo could have done more for bringing the graphics in the year 2021. Nevertheless the game is a must play for Zelda fans, at least for those, who did not play the original so far.
