If you are looking for an arcade basketball experience like no other, go for (the now greatest hit) NBA Street.

The simulated gameplay is well created, the depth is more than appropriate, and the graphics are quite good, but the repetitive soundtrack and somewhat frustrating races and opponents take away from the fun factor.

Once you begin to see some of the same puzzles present itself, and the soundtrack begins to chafe, you will probably begin to lose interest, but that doesn't mean you should avoid this title. As a matter of fact, the game can get quite addictive.

Heavy on the pretty and light on the substance makes for a game that could have waited for round two.

Gripping sound effects and a mind-blowing arsenal will keep you coming back for more...but only for a short while. You'll tire relatively quickly, and realize that "Twisted Metal: Black" is a clear winner.

While visually diverting, Okage is only slightly above average overall.

If only it were longer and more diverse it could've filled out it's great control and feel.

This game just does not cut it for the PS2, hopefully this year's edition will be a building block for the developers to come up with a solid football game.

A decent production that could've used a little more technical work. The makings are there for an excellent, intense soccer game, but they didn't quite follow through with everything.

If this were an actual NFL season, Madden 2003’s record would be 14-2, NFL 2K3 would be 13-3, and GameDay 2003 would squeak by into the virtual football playoffs as a wildcard with an 9-7 record.

This game is basically made for the DBZ fans out there than don't mind putting up with some sub-par gameplay as long as they get to play as their favorite DBZ characters.

There's a dozen titles that look better, but they don't play nearly as well.

Awful sound, and graphics (although mostly sharp) that were contrived and dull, 4x4 Evo isn't nearly as technically sound as it should've been.

The beauty of Jade Cocoon 2 is impressive but much like a supermodel, when you site down to actually get to know it, there's not much substance underneath all the pretty packaging.

F1 sports some of the worst AI imaginable. The AI in a racing game usually drives very well on the track, at a good speed, making slow turns, and staying on a set line on the road. None of that happens in F1.

Hardcore fans will love the action and the realism, but casual gamers just looking for action-packed racing fun may want to look elsewhere.

Sim junkies will be totally captivated by its career mode, and if you can get past this games technical woes, you'll have a great time playing.

It's not like playing 18-Wheeler isn't fun; it is. The problem is that it's over far too quickly and doesn't compare well to "Crazy Taxi" in terms of variety and replayability.

Heavy Iron gets much respect from me for making this such an authentic Scooby-Doo videogame.

It blends military vehicular action with RPG elements and manages to pull it off fairly well.

A good story and simple control can't make up for a serious lack of depth, mediocre graphics, and a camera that gets more annoying as time goes on.

Quite disappointing. It's choppy framerate, second rate graphics, and bland textures affect both gameplay and fun factor. These characters have character, and it simply doesn't show up on the PS2 version.

Unfortunately, frustrating AI, boring course variety, and uninspired tricks give this game a slightly above average, generic feel.

Sub par game physics and the no-skill-needed-to-play is a huge turn off. And graphically only an average title that would have looked great on the PSOne.

This is the epitome of the "rental title," you'll be returning it at the perfect time. You'll not only have finished most of the modes, but you'll be pretty sick of it by then too.

Suffers tremendously because of the control issues. Without the sniper rifle peripheral that made the arcade game a joy, Silent Scope is only a game that entertains in a brief, arcade-y way.

It's the best pool title you can get on any system right now... In the end, the question you have to ask yourself is, will I really spend enough time with this game to warrant a $50 purchase?

Despite a unique story concept, it sounds better on paper than in practice. While far from embarrassing, EF is embarrassingly average.

It's solid and has a ton of dungeon crawling. But don't expect the story to still be percolating in your mind six months after you finish.

What made Treyarch’s "Spider-Man" engine so special was its versatility. In MR, most of the versatility was taken away by simply focusing on the fighting aspect, giving the game a repetitive feel to it throughout its 40 levels.

If somehow, you are able to master the terrible control, perhaps having fun with ESPN is a possibility, though I doubt it.

Had the control scheme been less complex and easier to learn, that would have gone a long way toward fixing the problems.

It doesn't offer anything that excites me over the other versions except for a few new arenas and weapons, but do those small extras warrant a purchase? Of course not.

Unbalanced characters, cheap AI, and ugly graphics mar this game to the point that its' not even worth trying out.

It’s got some decent control (albeit with a few quirky cameras), and a whole lot of potential, but I saw none of the flash that it should’ve had.

Final Four does contain a few innovations, but it comes up short in every way possible.

There are so many profane adjectives that could be used to describe this horrid title but I’ll try to keep it to a minimum.

A serviceable platform title that will fill the "I want, I want" need of younger gamers who fell in love with the movie.

Although it does have some neat elements, such as being able to play as the bad guy and several spell elements, it doesn't make up for the lack of texture quality, as well as the shaky framerate and bad camera.

Underneath the silver lining of good graphics and bunches of options lies seriously flawed gameplay that ultimately ruins the experience.

Lacking in the depth that even arcade-style fans look for, the only strength of the game is in its unique fish-landing interface, which is very PS2-centric.

The level design is uninspired, the controls ... well don't, and the game's sense of speed is nonexistent.

The grappling system is decent, but grows weary soon enough. And considering how much the success of professional wrestling depends on the showmanship of its combatants, the game delivers a pretty bland experience.

The sum of its parts are overshadowed by low production values, shallow story, lacking gameplay structure, and poor character development.

It's just the mediocrity of everything - the story, voice acting, character development, plot progression, translation, combat system - that make it an average gaming experience.

This easily pales in comparison next to "Z.O.E." or "Armored Core 2," and I'm not interested in spending more time with it.

With poor design, few "levels" and frustrating gameplay, there’s not a lot here to praise.

They toss some gore and sex into the mix and hope to distract us from the fact that it’s a really average action-adventure game.

WDL War Jetz falls well short in its bid for great arcade flight fun, and although easily controllable and fairly simple, it's barely a rental.

The promising foundation is very nearly forgotten due to a rickety structure atop it. Regardless of whether or not you’ve watched the movies, chances are, you’ll be disappointed with this one.

The characters are stiff and look almost mechanical in their movement. The character response time isn't all the great either. Most of all, SFEX3 lacks any type of fun factor. I can't recommend this game to even the most die-hard SF fan.

Until next year, avoid the weak gameplay, shoddy animation, and disappointing graphics. Stick to meaty, mighty, Madden.

The gameplay is leaps and bounds ahead of the game's graphical prowess, but then, that's probably not saying too much, now is it?

Some of the worst gameplay I've ever had the misfortune of laying eyes on, and the entire look and feel of the game is seriously lacking.

This game should be avoided by all means. A complete game engine overhaul is much needed, along with a graphics engine rework, better and less repetitious dialogue.

A big mess from top to bottom. The graphics are fine, but everything else needed a gigantic overhaul worse than a Chevy Corvair.

The entire game will most likely leave most gamers (not just basketball fans) feeling disgusted.

The type of game that makes people claim PS2 is all about graphics and no gameplay. With no career mode, no WCW/ECW stars and an incredibly shallow Story Mode, there's simply NO reason to even rent this game.

If you're desperate for a surfer on your PS2, you are better off wallowing in that desperation, alone in bed, and shivering violently, as H30 will do more bad for you than good.

The track editor adds lots of replay value, but when the base game is so uninspiring there's not much of a point.
