TotalGames.netLooks gorgeous, handles sweetly and is totally bitchin when played against other like-minded, bloodthirsty players there must be some price to pay amongst all this triumph.
-
Quake III Revolutions frantic combat is wicked fast and packed with addictive, exciting action that heavily favors quick reflexes and itchy trigger fingers over deep strategies.
-
Bullfrog took on the near-impossible task of transforming a dedicated online game into a satisfying experience for the not-yet-online Playstation2, and completed it brilliantly.
-
If you take the time and play this game, without letting your bias towards the PC/online version get in the way (as I almost did), I think you'll find that it's a great game overall.
-
Spank!Everything you could hope for in a Quake game is present and correct, with two glaring exceptions - mouse/keyboard control, and on-line play.
-
Even with the additions and tweaks made to the single-player game, anyone familiar with other versions of the game will find Quake III Revolution to be rather limited.
-
It doesn't offer anything that excites me over the other versions except for a few new arenas and weapons, but do those small extras warrant a purchase? Of course not.
