    Favourite game i had on ps2. Bought it twice, blasted Rammstein whilst slaying in the arena

    I give this a 2 because of it being Quake. ID perfectly fragged this PS2 port. Horrible performance make me think if they were drunk at the time of announcing a console port. Upgrade your PC and get Quake III Arena for it. It'll thank you.

    It's not a 2 that's ridiculous had to score just to cancel out that stupid privilege post. BTW Graphics card alone to get high end performance from Quake 3 and 4 was more than a PS2 and this game in 2007. This port is fantastic and fast for a PS2 shooter.

    The best ps2 shooter, no question. It is the only title that still feels playable. Many many drunken nights with friends have passed trying to beat the campaign with all characters on Nightmare.

    The controller settings can be modified in settings to mimic gameplay of the best current shooters. Taking auto-centre off, and altering sensitivity to 80, 120, 80 in that order.     Responsive, creative, timeless gameplay, truly feels like a modern shooter with older graphics.

    Its mists, textures, particle blood sprays and lighting make it the best-looking shooter on the PlayStation 2, and maybe even a competitor for best-looking overall game.

    It doesn't offer anything that excites me over the other versions except for a few new arenas and weapons, but do those small extras warrant a purchase? Of course not.
