Great visuals, unique WWII-era storytelling, and explode-and-run fun made me love the game, but the shooting, driving, climbing, and stealth gameplay made me want to choke myself. The game improves with time and is enjoyable, overall.

SH:SM is an impressive game. It uses all of the Wii's features to immersive you, providing a moody and atmospheric experience that plays off of your own psyche in interesting ways. Some technical issues and design choices hold it back from greatness.

Altogether, Darkside Chronicles is a solid package with loads of content. The combat is satisfying, sprinkled with interesting boss fights and fun visual and gameplay tricks to keep the usually stale light gun formula fresh.

A triumph over the first in every way, Left 4 Dead 2 is not to be missed (or boycotted) if you loved the first one.
