Awesome hack and slash game play, good stories. And got me interested in reading Greek Mythology. Recommended Buy!^_^… Expand

   (Sorry, I thought this game was overrated on ps2. I never finished it, so I thought i would get both games on the cheap. these games use such (Sorry, I thought this game was overrated on ps2. I never finished it, so I thought i would get both games on the cheap. these games use such outdated mechanics. I mean beat em ups and hack and slash games have been around since NES. You can pretty much just mash buttons and quicktime your way through all the enemies. The game is not that challenging, just a chore. The story is pretty generic, prototypical macho persona. I just dont get it, hopefully GOW3 turns me around.) You dont get this story, because you are stupid this game is the best. Maybe it doesn't have good graphics but it is challanging if you try challages of titans or something it is very hard and fun.… Expand

Truly a fantastic series, and this collection makes it more accessible to people who didn't get a chance to play it on PS2.… Expand

   God of war 1: Molto bellino, le sfide degli Dei un po' meno, fin troppo difficili per i miei gusti e per le mie capacità... contando anche ilGod of war 1: Molto bellino, le sfide degli Dei un po' meno, fin troppo difficili per i miei gusti e per le mie capacità... contando anche il fatto che sono l'unico modo per sbloccare i costumi extra un po' mi rattrista, ma tutto sommato la storia è molto carina, nulla di eccezionale o di nuovo, alla fine in sostanza c'è un nemico potente che bisogna sconfiggere, trama che c'è nella maggior parte di questi giochi action, solo che qui forse è resa un attimo meglio rispetto a giochi come il primo Devil May Cry che aveva una storia terribile secondo me. In ogni caso è da giocare. Remaster fatta abbastanza bene, ma poteva essere fatta nettamente meglio, sarebbe bastato ritoccare i filmati per esempio

But until then, please don't waste your time with this collection. Why? It wasn't Bluepoint's fault, it's because they were given the botched PS2 code instead of the original one.
   
   The later botched PS2 version would permanently run like sh*t after a certain music track starts playing, but the PS3 port doesn't really have this slowdown. The remastered version still inherited one crippling flaw, and one new substantial flaw.
   
   The substantial flaw is that the game's widescreen mode is exactly the same as the PS2's, meaning that it just crops a big part of the 4:3 display on the top and bottom to present it in 16:9 widescreen. It's not widescreen, it's zoomscreen.

   The port of God of War II is completely fine other than the CGI cinematics also being cropped to fake 16:9 widescreen in the same fashion as all of GoW 1's gameplay and cutscenes. Oh, and the fact that it's God of War II.… Expand
